We went to First Watch in Oldsmar on 10/31 for lunch. It was very busy but we were seated quickly, although we had a long wait until the server appeared. I was disappointed they no longer had the Ruben sandwich on the menu. We both ordered the lemon curd pancakes. When they were served, they were not warm, so we sent them back. It was a long wait, and the meal was bland. It couldn't compare with a comparable pancake breakfast from Cracker Barrel. read more

We are fans of the First Watch chain. (The Palm Harbor location has been consistently excellent.) Excited to have a location closer to us, only to have an incredibly disappointing experience. I ordered lemon ricotta pancakes and a side of bacon. Bacon was cold. Not lukewarm. Cold. I asked for a new order and the next order came out... cold, complete with congealed fat. Pancakes were also cold. By this time, the rest of my family were finished eating. While the waiter was apologetic and removed the bacon from the check (and giving a gift card to "come back again"), we won't be back to this location. The manager was dealing with another couple, apologizing for their experience as we were leaving. It appears that there is a line issue in the back! If you love First Watch, head to another location or don't order anything you want warm upon arrival to your table. read more

I don't usually post but had such a great breakfast had to. This is a great location with great staff and food. I had the Bacado omelet with potatoes, fresh eggs really do make a huge difference. The waitress, Sia, really made the meal. In addition to being Jenny on the spot she had great menu suggestions and a wonderful personality. First Watch is not a bad place to stop to get a bite to eat, they don't stay open very late though. They do have vegan options as well, I was told by one of their staff members that they are a scratch kitchen so just ask and you will receive! ;) I'm giving a 3/5 star because their vegan options are minimal, I personally get the avocado toast which was really good. It came with ALOT of avocado on it which I was impressed by because sometimes place will skimp on it haha. My favorite item on their menu is the morning meditation drink, I think it's orange juice and cranberry juice mixed. It is really really good and I go there primarily for that drink. The atmosphere is typical as any breakfast joint, they stay pretty busy. The prices on their menu are also typical. As a vegan, there are a lot of other choices in the area as far as breakfast goes but I still wouldn't pass up on First Watch every now and again. read more

20 minutes to be acknowledged by wait staff. 20 minutes to get coffee that was not drinkable. Waitress was kind enough to bring a fresh pot which was equally bad. I'm not a coffee snob but seriously, their coffee is horrible. I've had old canned drip coffee that was far superior. Then waited over an hour for Avocado Toast and Eggs Benedict. One we got it, both were quite good. I understand that there is a shortage of workers but a business has to course correct rather than provide this type of sub par experience. Raise pay rates, limit the number of people you seat, at least serve descent coffee for people to drink while waiting for the chickens to lay their eggs. read more

Was told approximately half hour wait time, checked back after 40 minutes of hearing nothing, and was then told it would be an additional 30 minutes. Ironic considering business hours are only until 2pm. Flat out disrespectful, as we could've gone elsewhere in t h at time spent waiting. So. We've had two bad experiences in a row but this time I was blown away! The last two times it was extremely busy and the service was mediocre at best. Food not be done and waiting excessively long. Today on the other hand we received prompt excellent service and the food was top notch. I had the short rib poutine that was nothing short of mouthwatering! I'm glad we went back and hope to continue to get the same results as we did today. read more

The worst service I have ever received. I was a server for many years and I am always patient and understanding. We were sat immediately, but then waited for almost 20 minutes to receive drinks. We asked 4 different employees for help and they all said they would try to find our server. Meanwhile servers walked by us at least 15 times. Another table was sat, received drinks and food before we were served. (We were a party of 3) When one girl came she was rude and did not apologize or attempt any service recovery. After that we watched her and all the other servers bring food and drinks to other tables. When we got our drinks I asked if our order had been placed and she said yes. Then we watched more tables that arrived after us receive their food. 20 minutes later our food arrived and again no attempt at service recovery. I will say the food was delicious, but the only positive thing I can say. read more

This is a new first watch so I get some issues but I used to work for First Watch for 10 years. I love the company and whenever I go I look for a pretty great experience. While our server Justin was amazing, the food was not as expected. After a couple issues, Carlos the manager was quick to take care of us and he was so nice! I stopped by on a Tuesday just before traditional lunch hour. Was seated promptly. Then that was it! Had been in twice before this was giving it another chance as was trying to find a place my "coffee group" could have their breakfast meetings. Previously I had another person with me. Today, by myself, totally ignored. After waiting over 7 minutes, I gave up. As I left did tell host very poor service. I eat out several times a week, I also have worked in this industry in years gone by. Since waiters,waitresses were standing in back and made no effort to bring me water, coffee, or even acknowledge me, I feel did the right thing leaving, will not recommend this to our group. read more

I have been going to First Watch for over three years and can confidently say this is the worst location I have visited. The several times I have visited this location the kitchen has always been slow to prepare the food with an increasing delay to in preparation with each visit. Our food and server were good, but the issue is this location seems poorly managed. Today, we were seated at 11:08 and placed our order at 11:18. Our food was brought out to us 50 minutes later. Before we received our food the table next to us complained and the manager came over to speak with them. They mentioned that we were also waiting just as long as them and still hadn't received our food. The manager glanced at our table, but neglected to say anything to us. I do not mind waiting a little bit longer for food, but 50 min is ridiculous especially for breakfast. The manager didn't even approach us or bother to apologize for the wait. We will no longer go to this location, willing to drive a couple minutes longer for the south Tampa location where food actually comes out in less than 30 min. read more

Updated- Went back for another breakfast and have had several lunches and had a great experience! I believe the original experience was due to the new location and taking time to get it up. Took my kids for breakfast, Benedict came out cold. I sent it back politely and they brought out another one...cold. Like barley room temperature. I ate 2 bites of cold potatoes and by that time kids were done and I was starving. No one apologized or said anything...They charged me for it anyway, along with $3 for a cup of coffee when they give it away free up front by the waiting area.
