So so good! I have been searching for a great breakfast/brunch place in Pittsburgh for a while and First Watch was definitely worth the hype. While they have quite a few locations, all of them are still a bit of a drive for me which kept me from going. After trying it, I would make the journey any weekend now! The menu is huge so there are options for every type of eater. I opted for the "Lemon Ricotta Pancakes" and the "Morning Meditation Juice". Both were amazing! This is the perfect brunch place and I absolutely love it because they have a ton of healthy options and give you the calorie count on the menu for every item. This place also has a ton of vegetarian options as well. This is my first time coming here and I will definitely be back. I got the breakfast tacos. I went here for breakfast last Sunday around 10:30am. I put our names on the waitlist on the drive over as it said it was a 15-20 minute wait. I've found the wait times at all First Watch locations to be inaccurate (probably as they're seating less tables than pre-Covid times) so just be aware the wait time may be longer than you anticipated. I got seated about 20-25 minutes after I got to the restaurant, which was 10 minutes after joining the waitlist (so a total wait of 30-35 minutes). I got the elevated egg sandwich with chicken sausage instead of bacon, and with a fully cooked fried egg. I also got the iced coffee which is creamy and one of my favorite drinks on the menu. Everything came out perfectly and was delicious! Our waitress was helpful and attentive as well. This is a great breakfast place and I'll be back to try their seasonal specials. read more

I never leave a 1 star review but when I pay this much for breakfast food, I get upset when a restaurant cuts corners like this location. I overheard a server saying management let all the wage workers off for the day and made the wait staff who get paid $2.83/hr do those jobs while not having any tables to earn their livelihood. This is not fair or acceptable. We are in a recession! People need to make money not just corporate. read more

I would have given 3 1/2 stars but some of the issues I have are really personal pet peeves. The food is good and fresh but it is over priced and smallish portions for the price. Some may say it's worth it as you are getting a higher quality of food such as cage free eggs. You can wait a long time to be seated and when you finally do you most likely will end up being 6 inches from the table next to you. There are also alot of kids who act as if there are no parents in site. I thought it may have just been the time I went but I have been there a few times and it's the same everytime. I don't know what it is but I wouldn't recommend going there with a hangover as you seem to always hear dueling crying babies as well. Service is always good but this place is also always packed. Very much enjoyed recent visits to First Watch in route 52 South Hills location. I've been wanting to try it and wasn't disappointed. I was pleased with the cleanliness of the restaurant, friendliness of the staff and selection of breakfast options. Coffee is available to guests waiting for their table which was a nice touch! Our food was served promptly and everything was fresh except some of the avocado on my avocado toast had already turned brown. I don't know if this was because the avocado was overripe or if it was mixed up the day before. It still edible and tasted good. I'm still willing to try it again. I highly recommend getting something from the juice bar. The chilled pear apple cider was delightful! Prices were also very reasonable. Looking forward to trying First Watch again. read more

Today was a slow day for First Watch. I came here with the intention of leaving a mediocre review about how I waited for an hour after ordering before I got my food. When I went to check out the manager asked me how was it. And I simply said "uhh slow" and he immediately took my check and said well the meals on us. I was a really surprised. It's really appreciated when your time is valued, I wasn't expecting to not pay or even get a discount for that matter. It's Sunday, it's busy, it happens even though it still sucks. I remember my first time at First Watch and was super impressed with everything from the food to the service. This time, not so much. We sat down and it took a while for anyone to even acknowledge us to put in our drink orders. Once we did get someone to our table, it moved quickly because he was ready to take our orders as well (which is great with two toddlers close to nap time). I ordered the same thing I had gotten last time, The Farmhouse Hash. It was a hearty offering, but could have used more seasoning. They also brought it out first with regular toast, even though I had specifically asked for the gluten free toast. Glad they do provide the GF toast option though! I love that you can join the wait list if you're looking to go at a busier time. I would stop in again and just hope service would be better next time! Food has always been ok. Different breakfast and lunch items and little on the expensive side. This review is in regard to the service at the Clairton Boulevard location. The last couple times we ordered takeout, it has been at least 30 minutes late past the stated pickup time. We understand that during COVID that things will not not run on time. But this last particular occasion, my order wasnt even started until I was supposed to pick it up, had to wait it a part of a restaurant where there was no heat (20 degree weather outside), had to ask about my order twice, because restaurant so crowded, and never offer apology from staff or manager. They just dont really care. When getting takeout, we will be ordering from establishments that care about their customers, not these chains who treat you just like another number. I really love first watch and was excited to go back. We used the Nowait through Yelp to reserve a spot in line. When arriving to the restaurant we checked in and was seated with in 5-10 minutes. We found the Nowait process great. We were sat at a table that had dirty glasses on it and our waitress popped over immediately after sitting down and asked to take our order- we didn't even look at the menu yet. I brought up the dirty glasses she said they were scuff marks but we insisted on new glasses because you could clearly see that there was something smeared along the rim and inside the glasses. She did bring us new glasses and we ordered. A food runner bought out our food - pancake was cold - we needed more coffee and water but our waitress never stopped back over until she brought the check. It was an overall disappointing visit. Came here for the second time and finally got to try the French toast! So worth the wait! The pieces of French toast were huge and I got the fresh fruit on top. Delicious. Their turkey sausage is better than any sausage I have ever had. Also, they have a new summer fresh juice that is fruit based rather than vegetable. In my last review I stated how I would love an all fruit juice, they listened! Love that. My husband and I visited First Watch for the first time this week. We had never heard of it before, but had looked on Yelp for someplace new to go for breakfast. We had a FANTASTIC breakfast!! We shared the Millionaire's Bacon, which was incredible - both sweet and savory at the same time. I also tried the Strawberry Smash, which I thoroughly enjoyed. We enjoyed sitting in the open-air area of the restaurant. Even though it was a tad noisy from the traffic, we loved the fresh air. The service was great and friendly.
