As someone who previously worked at First Watch (not this location) they were doing things all crazy this day. Got a Green Kale Smoothie (what is it called?) and it was severely watered down. They brought cold syrup to the table... it's supposed to be warm. We were sat outside on a lovely day, so enjoyed that a lot compared to the busy inside. Took them ages to remember to come outside to take our order, check up on us, and provide the check.

Smoked Salmon & Roasted Vegetable Frittata

I tried the Smoked Salmon Frittata and enjoyed it a lot! There were nice chucks of salmon in the Frittata, the complement of vegetables added a nice touch to the meal! Definitely a filling and savory dish for breakfast! Million dollar bacon is always a go to for me although 4 pieces of bacon is absolutely a solo expedition and not a shareable if you are greedy like me. If you are looking for an appetizer I 1000% recommend it! For a taste of their seasonal menu I got the Blueberry Lemon Cornbread which wasn't anything that blew me out of the waters despite my love for cornbread. The way the lemon toppings is distributed into the blueberry cornbread is just not proportionate although you can add points for the size! Service is nice as always despite the busy location!

Justin was our server, who was very helpful and had an excellent attitude. He reviewed a number of options and possible substitutions to make a meal that we would enjoy. He even was able to address some health constraints. On an unrelated note, we ordered a cup of tea and were pleasantly surprised by the larger carafe provided; usually you get a small metal pitcher that isn't any bigger than the cup. Our meals were excellent, served promptly and we thoroughly enjoyed the experience.

This was my 2nd time trying First Watch, the first time was during a trip to Tampa. I didn't love the food or the coffee, but it wasn't bad. It was just okay. We have a location in Charlotte that I haven't been to yet also. So, I was happy to check out another location in a different state to be able to kind of compare them all one day. This location was huge and packed on a Sunday morning, which is expected. We had a large group of about 8 people and only waited maybe 20 mins for a table. For this place to be so big and so busy their staff was on it! They were professional, fast and kind. I was very pleased with the service and how quickly and smooth everything went. I ordered the pumpkin pancakes and they were amazing!!! Perfectly cooked and they paired beautifully with their chicken sausage and over medium eggs. YUM! This was a nice brunch visit and it made me want to check out the location we have in Charlotte.

First Watch is always a solid bet for a nice brunch, even if it does come at a cost. Came here recently with my girlfriend so she could use a coupon she received for her birthday and was able to dine outside on a beautiful day. Our server was very polite and we didn't wait long at all for our food. We both got the fall specials and I really enjoyed the pumpkin pancake with sausage and eggs, nice way to start a Saturday and commemorate the changing of the seasons. This would normally have added up quite a bit though the coupon did make this better, or would have if it had worked properly; thankfully the manager sorted it out for us but this was yet another case of technology being a burden rather than a benefit. I will definitely return again when the craving for an elegant brunch strikes again! Overall: 4.5 stars ---- Pros: - Excellent fare, some unique offerings that really set First Watch apart. - Great service without too much of a wait for a table or the food itself. - Plenty of easy lot parking. - Management ready to step in to assist where needed. Cons: - This is about the app and not this location, but silly that they have such a weird coupon system. Why not just create a unique one time use coupon code to avoid all these weird link games?

I got the upgraded egg sandwich but requested gluten free toast instead of the brioche and also parmesan cheese instead of Monterey due to my intolerances. Also I got tea which pleasantly came in a carafe. Justin, our server, was smiling the whole time I made these special requests knowing that I was not making his job more difficult, but rather because of medical reasons. Hubby got a vegetable omelette. We both loved our meals. Also instead of seasoned potatoes, we got fruit, the pineapples were especially fresh. The dining room was huge and clean. We will return and hopefully we will be able to get Justin.

This is my local First Watch, a quick 3-minute drive from my apartment. I first tried to visit a year ago, but the floors were sticky and filthy and no one stopped by our table within a reasonable period, so we left and opted for a local spot instead. On a recent visit, a friend from out of town said he wanted to stop here, so off we went for breakfast. This time around was a totally different experience. Our server (I think his name was Justin? or Alex? one of the two) was super, super pleasant, like....I-want-what-he's-having pleasant. He was on the ball, very caring, and was all about the guest experience. Give him a raise. I ordered the coffee with free refills and my friend had the Morning Juice. Both were tasty. For our meals, we ordered the egg sandwich (me) and the power bowl (him). We both really liked our meals and the prices were reasonable for the quality. I wouldn't hesitate to return in the future or pick up takeout for a chill breakfast at home. Their takeout business seemed strong.

I had the chicken avocado salad and it was very good. However, someone let the kitchen know that the stub of a head of lettuce should not be part of the meal.

My goodness, the deliciousness of this place is OFF THE FREAKING SCALES. Going to try very hard not to curse in this review (because I don't think I'm allowed to), but the flavor party my meal here incited in my mouth is joyously profane and I'm upset there's not a location in NYC. Now there was a 45-minute wait here on a Sunday (which IS highly reminiscent of NYC), but I'd studied the menu beforehand and was already salivating over my pre-selected choices, so this brunch was going to happen. Firstly, the Purple Haze. Get the Purple Haze. There is nothing bad to say about the Purple Haze. Deliciously refreshing, sweet, florally nourishing to my soul, and so PRETTY. Lemon, cane sugar, butterfly pea flower tea and a hint of lavender?? The description alone sold me before the taste. Next, the BISCUITS & TURKEY SAUSAGE GRAVY WITH EGGS. My Lord, I miss this dish already. The biscuits were PERECTLY fluffy and soft with a bit of crisp to the edges and the gravy was DECADENT. Also, UPGRADE TO THE MILLION DOLLAR POTATOES. They add parmesan sauce, bacon crisp and herbs, and we saw the picture of it on our table so there was no way we were passing this up. They were MOUTHWATERING. Being from NYC, we found the prices oh-so-affordable, AND the portion size is wonderful. To the point where I was getting full and UPSET at myself for getting full because I wanted to keep eating because it was so good and I couldn't. And I had to leave the leftovers with my uncle because they probably wouldn't travel well from VA back to NYC but I begged him to please not waste it because it would be a travesty. Also yea, the place was quite spacious (also has outdoor seating), interesting bathroom layout for the ladies room, every single employee from the waitress to the hostess to the stand-by-the-door-person-who-wasn't-a-host/hostess was genuinely friendly, helpful and accommodating which is great for such a popular place. EVERYTHING about it, worth it. If I ever have a chance to return here, I will throw up my hands and dance in delight.

After finally trying First Watch, I can see why so many people enjoy it! It includes great sit-down experience with classic brunch choices that are done to a great quality. You can not go wrong between any of their offerings, such as pancakes, sandwiches, omelettes, salads, French toast and more. They pair perfectly with sides like fresh fruit, lightly dressed greens, bacon, sausage, and eggs. Additionally, I love that First Watch always has 4-5 seasonal speciality dishes and at least one seasonal drink option. It always give you something new to look forward to! It's a great place to grab brunch with family and friends since you know that the menu has choices that will please everyone. You can order ahead for a quicker meal as well. Plus, their parking lot and ability to make reservations make dining here a super convenient option!

I'm an avid first watcher but today was my first time at the willow lawn location! Really enjoyed it, we came maybe an hour and a half before closing so no long wait. Our server Michelle was awesome, our food and drinks came super fast. I usually go for the trifecta but decided to try something new and I'm glad I did! The smoked salmon frittata was so soooo good and healthy! Under 700 calories 30 carbs and 40 grams of protein!! The million dollar bacon is overhyped to me as non pork eater but my partner cannot visit without ordering a side of it, must be good!!

Amazing breakfast and brunch place. First time came with friends and they suggested and loved the special drink options. Definitely fresh hot food. Some of your favorites and a play on some new ones. So, back on the road heading South.. this spot had super easy call in and pick up service. Menu had lots of yummlies to choose from. Everything was Delicious and they don't skimp on the bacon! Only problem- maybe it's a Southern thing.. got sweet tea instead of unsweetened by default. (Probably my bad). Gluten Free toast was available and is what I ordered but unfortunately my Omelette came with regular toast. THE FOOD MIGHT LOOK AMAZING ONLINE BUT YOU WILL BE DECEIVED. Spent $32 on the pesto chicken bowl, the power breakfast bowl, and bacon just to get a meal that would have a 4 year old full. Came in to eat stood at host desk no server came to seat. So I decided to walk to register and just order togo, Nobody came to register. Table of 2 comes behind me and server ran up to that host stand fast to seat them. I worked at first watch they always have someone at the register on Saturday. If not as servers we would huddle by the host stand to grab the next table. Those servers are selective on who they pick to serve and probably racist. And they had plenty of servers of the floor all probably had one table. read more

Food was amazing!!!! I enjoyed every bite of this smoked salmon eggs benedict. I also had a spiked lavender lemonade...yum! I have to find the recipe. And our service was great. From the hostess to our waitress. Everyone was super nice to my kiddos. Only downside, was it was a bit loud but not annoying loud. Overall good time. We will definitely be returning. read more

Take Out Review. Biggest word of advice: check your food before leaving. We ended up ordering takeout for breakfast. We literally ate almost right away. The food was barely warm and I mean barely. French toast was as hard as a brick. One pancake was decent and one was hard. I've never in my life had hard food like that. One set of bacon was burnt. My kid would not touch it. They should be ashamed to serve that food. The only thing that was decent was the eggs. They were good. Eggs and hot chocolate was the only good thing to come out of a large order. Came in for breakfast on a Monday morning with my sister and sat on the patio with Jacob - we had such a stellar experience. Service was prompt, enthusiastic, and genuine. Jacob was honest in his opinions of the menu items and built a great rapport with us. Bonus points for him not judging me for ordering a cup of tomato soup with breakfast . He was just super welcoming and made the entire experience fantastic. Definitely recommend coming in and asking for him! We had the bananas foster french toast, lemon ricotta pancakes, tomato soup, and breakfast potatoes with lots and lots of coffee! Would recommend any of them to anyone! read more

Bailey was our server today, and I need to reach out and compliment her. First off, she opened the door for us, greeted us with a smile, and was officiant and pleasant. Not only did we have great service, after a horrible morning we had an amazing breakfast. I had eggs Benny, my go to breakfast. The eggs were perfectly cooked, the hollandaise was like crack, the bacon was amazing. My favorite thing however was the breakfast potatoes. Get the breakfast potatoes. First time and probably last time I will go. Have you been to Cracker Barrel? Well this place is like a hip Cracker Barrel. My sandwich came with cheese toasted on the bread that was super hard "I was afraid it was going to cut the roof of my mouth". We had a 20+ minute wait for our food. Very nice breakfast/brunch spot. We made reservations an was seated 5 mins after we arrived. Long lines so make reservations. Took almost 45 mins to an hour to get our food. Most everything was very hot the pancakes an the potatoes you could tell had sat a while before we received them but everything else was hot. Will go back. read more

Customer service is so important and I believe this establishment doesn't understand that. I came in, it took someone about ten minutes to seat me, then once seated no one came and service me. I was in this place for about 30 minutes watching people get service and I didn't even have a cup of coffee. I decided to walk out because why spend my money at an establishment that has poor service. I know first had how customer is suppose to be because I'm in this industry. Do better by your customers. I was sat immediately, asked for outdoor seating, seemingly a septic issue nearby, kind of stinky when the wind blew the wrong direction but it was tolerable I guess. I ordered the lemon ricotta pancakes, they were done very well, pancakes become gummy if you do them wrong and these were fluffy and delicious. The lemon curd topping was good but appeared jarred, no hate but lemon curd is easy and delicious fresh. The waiter appeared to have mistakenly made three juices for a two top seated next to me and I lucked out with the third!! Thanks dude. It was super good beet something. The coffee was not very good but hot and caffeinated. I will return if I am in the area. The service was honestly top notch. read more

Not the most pleasant experience. Seating happened a lot fast than I expected which was great but, once we were all seated, it took over 45 min after ordering to receive our food! One in our party is vegetarian and ordered a vegan meal. When she received her entree, come to find out halfway through her meal.... there was pork sausage all through it which cause her to throw up AT THE TABLE! Another excellent breakfast find while in Richmond for the Jefferson Cup soccer tournament in May. Grabbed an early breakfast before a mid- morning game...we ordered a Fritatta rustuca and chorizo sandwich for my son. Both were excellent, but perhaps a bit small for my preferred portion. At this early hour, service was great, coffee was strong, and the decor was pretty rustic and cool. Really enjoyable place with an interesting menu and fresh offerings. Too bad its 5 hours from home! read more

First time to First Watch and wow I will definitely be a returning customer! The servers were friendly and efficient. The place was clean. The food was out of this world! Being a huge Eggs Benedict fan, I ordered the original with a side of Grits. This was the best hollandaise sauce ever...I could actually taste the lemon! The eggs were cooked to perfection. I was excited to try this place with my husband. The wait was 20-30 minutes ok no problem. Once we were seated the waitress came and got our drinks and we placed our order. That's when the wait started. By the time we got in the crowd had really died down but the wait for the order was ridiculous. We get our order and the food is barely warm- btw we ordered blueberry pancakes, eggs and bacon. The eggs were cooked perfectly and the bacon could have been crispier but okay. The pancakes were very dry and were just ok. Cracker Barrel pancakes are way better. I definitely will not be traveling from the airport area to this location for any meal. I was extremely hungry and was excited to try this place, despite the recent negative reviews. Sadly, I too agree with the previous reviews in the past 10 days. My order took a long time, over half of my order was missing, what was delivered was soggy, cold, and not appetizing. Called the establishment and the manager did apologize, and only offered to have it ready for pick up, if we still wanted the food. That's pretty silly, being as though we ordered delivery for a reason. Won't be back! read more

KENDALL did an amazing job with his customer service and recommendations of the morning meditation juice for me and the chickichaunga for my husband. Dropped in for breakfast on 12/26 and unfortunately was not wowed by the experience. We were promptly seated upon our arrival and our server was fairly attentive. I was excited to try the Turkey Sausage and Gravy until it came out cold. The server was apologetic and brought out a new order 15 minutes later, which was barely warm. My husband loved the multigrain pancakes and his eggs were cooked to order so the meal was not a total wash. There are several locations throughout Richmond and I am willing to give them another shot...which will hopefully be better than this experience. read more

As such, it doesn't exactly feel great to be downgrading my review, but my previous sentiments aren't necessarily accurate anymore. My visits have dropped off in recent months, and it seems like the restaurant itself is dropping off, too, if you just read some of their latest reviews or stop in. I know they had a shift in their ownership, and it appears to be reflecting poorly on the restaurant. I'm not a big craft beer drinker anymore, but it turns out that doesn't matter, as Crafted is no longer a craft beer spot (see the picture I posted today for their offerings). I used to looooove traipsing over there to try their rotating draft list with some top-tier brands on it. This past weekend, I had a beer-loving friend in town from another state, so we stopped in on Thursday night. The bar area was pretty empty around 7 pm. I was embarrassed that I wasted his time, as they just serve domestics and the most basic of local pours these days. When I talked to the bartender about it, he seemed fairly nonchalant and informed me that Crafted can mean more than beer, such as craft food and craft cocktails. So let's talk about the craft cocktail I ordered. I selected the espresso martini. I love a good espresso martini. Crafted managed to serve me the worst one I genuinely think I've ever consumed. It was weirdly frigid, crunchy, and looked like it was curdling upon arrival. I don't know how they managed it, but I would highly recommend not ordering one of those. I've ordered quite a bit from their food menu over the years. I didn't order any food on our latest trip to see if it fits the "craft" label, but I've been within the past few months for dinner and it was just okay. Nothing extraordinary. I know they're impacted by inflation so I won't comment on the drastic price increases I've seen beyond saying they have been pretty steep jumps for decreasing quality. At this point in time, unless they have a major revamp, I don't see a reason to return. I'd rather spend my money on an experience I know is going to be better and my money will be appreciated, such as at my other neighbors, Acacia and Shagbark.

My only tip is that you think hard before deciding to eat on the patios if it's cold and windy, the umbrellas will attempt to fly away. It can also get chili on a brisk day. No parking lot but plenty of street parking.

I'll start by I'll try it a second time to gain better results. That said, I made my reservations as advised by several other posts, but we still had to wait well over 10mins to receive some assistance to be seated. Once seated, we began with ordering the Mimosa pitchers. However, the waitress quickly responds there are no more pitchers. I requested a bloody Mary; however, several minutes later, our waitress shares the news that "they were out of bloody Mary mix as well." No worries, I even tried to order a standard mix cocktail from the brunch menu, but that didn't even work as they were also out of pineapple mix. My wife and I ordered our food, only to have our waitress come back to our table 25 min later to ask if we were ready to order. We did clear that issue up, as it was simply an error on her part as the restaurant was busy at that time. All the while, we thought we were still in line for the pitcher of mimosas as other guests left from around us, and newer guests sat down, who kindly placed their orders and received, "yes" Pitchers of Mimosas, after my wife and I heard they were all out. After feeling, defeated we canceled our brunch, paid for our drinks, and chalked it up to a busy day in the restaurant business. I'm glad to see that they have a favorable client tell it's unfortunate that I'll have to wait my turn. So yes, it could have been a better experience, but I'll try again. read more

First watch is amazing!! I went on a Saturday around 9:30 am and was able to be seated without a wait. I ordered the iced coffee which had a nice balance of coffee flavor & sweetness. The iced coffee had a subtle flavor of chocolate milk which was a pleasant surprise to me! Inside, it is a nice open space inside with many tables. The staff is friendly and happy to answer any questions about the menu. The service was pretty quick for a busy weekend morning! They always have a seasonal menu in addition to the regular menu. I tried the golden cinnamon roll as an appetizer which was good! I enjoyed the icing, golden sprinkles, and flavor. I do wish it melted in your mouth more. My personal favorite at first watch is their market hash! It has the ability to make you feel like you ate a light brunch that is also flavorful and filling. The over easy egg is cooked to perfection with a runny yolk . The potatoes are soft and well seasoned with the spinach adding a great flavor! The balance of flavors with the warm steak and the cheese throughout provides a perfect combination. I have been a fan of First Watch for several years and am so glad to have a new one in my neighborhood at Willow Lawn. I went to the new location for the first time this morning. It was refreshing - very clean, nice spacing between the tables, immediately greeted when we walked in the door. Our waiter Kendall was great - personable and on the ball. I've eaten here a few times back to back over the past few weeks. The level of service really depends on who's working. However if you go in the afternoon on a day when Travis ( I believe he's a manager) is there you get better service. He's been great. read more

I've been there twice and the food was cold, the coffee too and the food wasn't what I expected. The service was very slow, and my food came out 25 minutes after I ordered it. I didn't like it. read more
