Found our new favorite SA breakfast joint. Heck yeah! Located Inside a strip mall with plenty of parking. Luckily we put ourselves on the waiting list via their website. If not, the wait time was an hour at 11:00 am with walk up. Decor was basic. But, what was cool is they have two community tables for those who don't mind sitting with strangers. Food was amazing! A must visit for those who have never been.

We love going to First Watch because the food is always consistent and the experience is reliable. On our recent visit, I ordered the Tres Leches French Toast. It was good, but I do wish it had been a bit more milky, as it leaned a little on the dry side. On the other hand, the Million Dollar Bacon was an absolute hit. It's always perfectly sweet, savory, and a must-order every time. Another thing I really appreciate is their waitlist option. It's such a lifesaver, especially if you have a little one. Overall, First Watch continues to be one of our go-to spots for a solid breakfast or brunch.

Food is ALWAYS great AND filling! Ambiance is cozy and busy with laughter in the air: Great place for family outings, breakfast dates, friend catch ups! Service is very slow! I would have given 4 stars but Casey saved the day! She felt our frustration and just made everything better and was very attentive to us!

First Watch is my first choice for breakfast and brunch. The food is always good. I love the multigrain pancakes, million doller bacon and potatoes. They have a lot of seating options from 2 person tables to 10 person tables. And their decor gives the place a rustic homemade feel. My server, Karissa was amazing. She was quick to check up on everything and make sure I was enjoying my food. I'll definitely come back.

Maple Bacon Croissant Sandwich...if only photos came with smells...irresistible!

This morning I went to First Watch on Blanco. I feel like this is my favorite spot! Right now First Watch is falling with flavor! I've tried multiple things off the menu and have been delighted every single time. Today I had their Maple Bacon Croissant sandwich. Wow! When my waitress Ashley approached my table the smell greeted me. I took my first bite with the jalapeño on just to experience the full flavor. My eyes rolled back in my head from the perfect pairing of sweet and savory. I removed the jalapeño because it was a bit much for me. Every bite was as good as the first bite...maybe better. I love the helpful and thoughtful staff at this spot. I enjoyed the space of a booth and was able to freely eat and casually sketch. First Watch is a great way to get the day rolling. Fresh coffee, fresh hearty food, and amazing service await you. Enjoy!

Classic Eggs Benedict with no tomato

Came get for breakfast and it was amazing! I ordered the Classic Eggs Benedict but minus the tomato (I know not typical for a classic eggs benny) with a side of the Million Dollar Potatoes. The hollandaise sauce was perfectly creamy. Eggs poached beautifully. At first I wasn't sure about the lemon dressed greens as the side but I delightedly surprised at how well it really did pair. It's a rich breakfast so the lemon dressed greens lightened it up. That will be a new go to with this breakfast for sure. I loved the potatoes well. My wife got the Market Hash and it was soooo tasty. The goat cheese was creamy and added a delightful slight tang. The staff were fantastic and very friendly. I thought it was really cool that the table gets a carafe of coffee.

Pesto Chicken Quinoa and Kale Tonic

Came in on a holiday Monday and only had to wait 5 minutes for 920 am for party of two. Got my go-to pesto chicken quinoa (I do think compared to a year ago, the serving portion has gone down) but totally understand, because the flavor is still there! Love the blend of tomatoes, pesto, kale and chicken! The kids meal is the one my son always enjoys, he gets this huge chocolate chip pancake (which the table can share). This location in particular has multiple servers that check in and everyone seems to work hand in hand! Overall great experience! Dont forget to check in online ahead of time so you dont have to wait too long!

Not really a breakfast person but we were up early so we decided let's go get some breakfast. When we got there, there's only a few people inside as we were enjoying our meal. It started to get packed, which is always a good sign that that means people like to eat at these restaurants. Definitely has that breakfast vibe in there and they had it decorated for Halloween. The waiter was super cool very helpful when it came to helping us with the menu when I do eat breakfast at a restaurant I do like to always get eggs Benedict. So I got the classic Benedict which they add tomato to it. I'm not a big tomato fan, but I ate it with tomatoes on it was still really good. I added the billion dollar potatoes to it. Which has bacon Parmesan cream sauce with fresh herbs. I got my son chocolate chip pancake. My wife ordered a honey caramel crunch iced coffee, which was really sweet so if you don't really like sweet coffee, you don't get that one but if you do, that's your coffee. She got the Chickichanga omelette she said it was pretty good and she'd probably get it again, but it was their seasonal. All in all is a really good breakfast. I would definitely go back again.

Pumpkin Pancake Breakfast

First Watch, let me start off by saying that this place is typically packed on weekend mornings so be sure to plan accordingly and book in advance online. Upon entering, I entered and checked in with the hostess and was immediately seated as quoted online. Let's rate the service first. Our waitress was very attentive and assured our needs were met also empathized with an impatient toddler of ours so props to her! Now the food, ordered the Maple Bacon Croissant Sandwich, oh was it packed with flavor, the sweet apricot jam paired well with the pork sausage, crispy sweet bacon and melted cheddar all within a buttery croissant! Paired with seasoned potatoes for a fall farm flavor. My wife ordered the Pumpkin Pancake breakfast with bacon, the pumpkin pancake is full of fall flavor pumpkin hint perfect amount of sweetness and with an iced honey caramel crunch coffee for a beverage made for an exceptional breakfast! The atmosphere inside is a more of a country interior, family friendly and fast service. Overall great food and excellent service!

My brother and I thoroughly enjoyed this place for breakfast. We ended up going here after my daughter's Air Force graduation. We were seated immediately after coming in and our waitress was amazing. She walked us through the menu and offered different options based on our dietary needs. This establishment is nestled in a strip of other stores and such! It was very clean and comforting. The bathrooms were very clean as well. If you are ever in the San Antonio area, First Watch is a must try!

More than 1 hour wait when 40 minutes promised.
David T.

I wish I could give a great review of their food, but we didn't make it that far. We arrived and were told the wait was 40 minutes, so we stood in their foyer as they have no waiting room and it was cold outside. After 10 minutes of waiting, from where I stood, I could count at least 12 open and cleaned tables and about 25 people waiting. I also watched what appeared to be the manager spent 5 minutes talking to 4 staff members while standing near the foyer. Why weren't they seating people? Who knows? I couldn't justify waiting while watching that kind of mismanagement. Hopefully, I will find time on a weekday to try again. Then again, I might just give my $50 gift card to someone I don't like very much! LOL! For what it's worth, we walked next door and had a nice Mexican food breakfast and were on our way home when we got the text that our table was ready at First Watch. Hope you have better luck than we had.

Can't go wrong with a classic breakfast!

However, when we opened the windows, a blast of cigarette smoke wafted into the room because it is directly above their designated smoking area. We asked the front desk for help, and they said not to worry, hardly anyone smokes in that area. Meanwhile we watched several people out there smoking almost constantly. They offered no other accommodation or help. Not worth it. Very uncomfortable and upset because this will ruin our vacation. Edit: 1 to 3 stars. The manager eventually heard our concerns, responding to a secondary issue with cigar smoke in our room after leaving windows open - their recommendation- to air out the room.
