Easily the worst service I have ever been given. When we arrived we were told there was a 30 to 40 minute wait, they did not offer us a table outside until we said we were going to leave. The server replied " we could sit you outside right now". So, we decided to eat here, we should not have, they sat us right by the door where they offer delightful views of people taking the trash out and awkwardly staring at us while choosing not to help us. Whenever they brought us our glasses for our water, they were dirty, then when they brought us new glasses they were soaking wet. I don't want a soaking wet glass. I want a clean dry one. They did not bring my other drink until I asked. They brought my wife the wrong food seeing how she specifically ordered a skillet, with no meat, since she is a vegetarian (for health reasons), a skillet with bacon in it, we still aren't sure if they gave us a new skillet or just took the bacon out of it. Then to add on, we were not helped one time, we had no napkins, we're not asked if our food was good, and then they brought us the receipt/check while we were still eating, if you enjoy food but don't care how they treat you this is the perfect restaurant for you, also do not sit outside. They will not tend to you at all, actually, I don't even think they would tend to us inside, there are a lot of people standing around doing absolutely nothing, coming from a former server and bartender, this is the worst service I have ever had. This is the most deserved one star I have ever given in my life, however, the pancakes were OK, and the skillet was pretty salty, otherwise worst experience I've ever had, I would rather eat at McDonald's they care more. read more

First Watch is one of my favorite brunch spots in town. Lately though, it's gone downhill quite a bit. My most recent visit with a friend was underwhelming. It wasn't busy but after the server took our drink order she returned a bit later and asked us if we were ready to order food before we ever got our drinks. The whole thing felt rushed. I ordered the florentine eggs Benedict and while it was served quickly, it was cold. And it did not have any avocado on it. They did bring me a tiny dish of sliced avocado once I was able to get a servers attention but it wasn't enough for the size of the bread. I really loved coming here but it's no longer at the top of my list for brunch. I hope things improve read more

Very much improved! Today we had a great experience beginning with our server who would ask "what would you like to drink love?" Trying a second branch in San Antonio Texas! This one in particular is located at Loft hotel's plaza, across from Target plaza. Parking can be difficult on a Sunday morning and you'll probably have to park further in the back of the building. Walking is good! It was jam packed on Sunday but we were seated right away the second time (parties of 2 or less always faster, and coming in before 09:30 will be much less crowded than after that. Tried Power bowl w chicken pesto. Amazing! Very healthy and tasty mix of vegetables, quinoa and chicken. My favorite order Avo Toast, also does not disappoint. The bread is decently crispy. Eggs were great as well as the avocado. Waiting time for food is about 10min. Servers are friendly and attentive. Checked on us at least twice during the entire meal. This place lacks attention to detail. Party of 3 and two eggs where made wrong but the 3rd was an omelet, so you really can't mess that up. Could we have sent them back? Yes!! But we shouldn't have to and we were hungry. Specially after waiting 30 mins for it. Eggs were either under cooked or over cooked. Was the place busy? Yes, but the customer shouldn't suffer. My entree and his sides, his entree with the wrong sides, and they forgot the English muffin. I'm easy to please, so switching wasnt hard, but everything arrived disjointed and just wrong. Which consists of half a sandwich and I'm guessing a small salad. My server was great! She made sure I had everything I wanted. The half sandwich was delicious, but I'm a sucker for sourdough bread. The salad was good but it's almost like there was no dressing on it at all. It was a good salad and I asked my server for some ranch dressing and everything was great.
