We had been to first watch several times before but never experienced the dull and inedible food that we did today. I ordered cheesy grits and they came out like a very stiff polenta. In this part of the world grits are not stiff and rigid and these were so thick there was no way to eat them. It was like eating a big ball of polenta. The fresh fruit that I ordered was tainted with some sort of on dirt like taste is the only way I can describe it. I was quite disappointed to say the least with our experience. I ordered pick up here for lunch. I got the iced coffee and the quinoa chicken pesto power bowl and a side of fruit. Bottom line up front: Contrary to the reviews I saw this place is too expensive for the lack in quality and quantity of food. Iced coffee was not good. Front staff woman had poor service, lacked communication skills, and lacked situational awareness. When I ordered, the website said 13 minutes, I understand that this is never a guarantee no matter where you go and this restaurant was a little bit busy but it was not so busy that the lady at the front couldn't have been more helpful. When I walked in and I told the woman at the front I had a pick up order she said it was going to be a few more minutes and she would bring it out to me. I thought great that works. 25 minutes go by and nothing. So I went back inside to see if she had just forgotten, and I waited for a while for her to even acknowledge me after she absolutely saw that I was there. (She saw me walk in and proceeded to leave, I assumed it was to check the kitchen and she came back talked to another staff member and then proceeded to not say anything so I asked ma'am I see it's busy here but i wondering if there is an updated ETA for my order bc I need to go back to work. She walked past me and grabbed an order behind me and said this is yours and that was it. I didn't say anything bc I get it people have their days and I understand, however it wasn't a great experience and I won't be back nor will recommend it. They didn't put utensils or napkins in the bag. The coffee I got was pretty gross and I was disappointed. I went to Starbucks and got a nitro bc I was really in need of a good coffee. The food was okay it honestly lacked seasonings and flavor. I wouldn't recommend this place, I'd go across the street to the Nest because there drinks are delicious and food is really good. We LOVED this restaurant. The open kitchen, our server, the seasonal menu, the food, and the proximity to the hotel were perfect! Everyone who had the coffee talked about how good it was. We had a perfect view of the kitchen with the clean and perfectly organized shelves. I ordered the seasonal pumpkin pancakes with a chicken sausage patty and scrambled eggs. I was impressed with the warm glass bottle of syrup. My sister let me try the strawberry jam and I could tell it was homemade. Everything tasted so fresh! Not sure if they had outdoor seating but the indoor layout is nice. It's great for kids and groups, I'd definitely come again. They also take Apple Pay. read more

His bacon was pretty delicious and he said the omelette was good. The food here is almost like a fern fresh/healthy style (not sure how to describe it) but like it's not standard buttermilk pancakes it's whole grain or something like that I don't remember exactly- I just remember it wasn't your standard options for toast, pancakes, etc. But overall the food was good. Price: It's not cheap like a dennys but it not super expensive either- pretty standard. Location: easy to get in and out, lots of parking. Let me start by saying the customer service was not good at all and noticed we were the only black ppl in there. When we sat down our waitress did not bring us no water until we asked in the middle of us eating our cold ass food. And I watched her service other ppl when they came in and that was the first thing she did was bring them water and a full bottle of water. When we asked for water she brought us 2 glasses of water and our bottle water was half way full. Now let's talk about the food it was so freaking cold and the rest of the other food was Luke warm. My Parents are your traditional Hispanic parents who love their taquerias on sundays. Ive been taking them to new places bi weekly. This weekend's adventure was first watch a place ill dine at for business meetings and after church. The food is always fresh, restaurant and staff no matter a which location in town have great customer service skills. My Mom is a picky eater , there was no waffle or bacon left , she requested the bacon to be extra crispy. The waitress kept us full of coffee and creamers. The wait time was quick as we used the online waitlist on we website. Overall enjoyable, mom & dad want to skip the taqueria for this one again. read more

Ok, the food is good. Whether you're looking to imdulge, or treat yourself without breaking the calorie bank. The staff is friendly & the atmosphere is pleasant but generic country kitchen. The only reason I'm really taking off stars is that there's no social distancing inside. They tried to sit us directly next to (like 6 inches away) another occupied table. We asked to move to a pretty isolated table. Around the room there were all booths occupied where diners could reach out & touch those around them. It's a good meal. We just won't be back until after the pandemic has passed. read more

We visited this first watch before heading over to the mall on a Wednesday morning. It wasn't too busy, but not necessarily slow either. I got coffee to drink, and my boyfriend got orange juice. The coffee was pretty watered down, and I didn't really enjoy it. The orange juice was fresh squeezed and very flavorful. We did wait a little while for our food, which seemed a bit unnecessary to me seeing as it wasn't very busy, and we didn't really have anything crazy. My boyfriend rated his waffle a 6/10. He prefers Belgian waffles, the fluffy thick ones. The eggs seemed like a small portion, but the bacon was good. My scramble was .. eh. I chose the scramble after seeing so many reviews for it, I wasn't really impressed. The veggies inside seemed over cooked to me, and took away from the flavor. Would we visit again? Maybe. Wouldn't be my first choice for breakfast/brunch. I prefer Ida Claire, and my boyfriend prefers Magnolia. read more

This place lacks attention to detail. Party of 3 and two eggs where made wrong but the 3rd was an omelet, so you really can't mess that up. Could we have sent them back? Yes!! But we shouldn't have to and we were hungry. Specially after waiting 30 mins for it. Eggs were either under cooked or over cooked. Was the place busy? Yes, but the customer shouldn't suffer. Really enjoyed my hearty farmhouse style hash with skillet fried potatoes, bacon, peppers and onions served with eggs over easy. They seasoned every bit of the hash really well especially the potatoes. The multigrain toast was thick, the cheesy grits were dense but a tad under seasoned and the orange juice was freshly squeezed. It was a really satisfying breakfast, and I could see why they have a loyal following. The parking for this establishment is highly competitive, but what's awesome is that you can request your table ahead of time. After waiting a while to park, I was seated 1 minute after I got into the restaurant because of my reservation via yelp so that was great. When I got my table and waitress I didn't expect to get another 30 minute wait for my waitress every time she left the table... lol... When I finally got my food I felt like I was some animal in the forest that walked up to some people and they started tossing their food scraps at it. The meat portions in the bowl were like 2 little bits of turkey sausage and the rest of the bowl was undercooked mushrooms and potatoes like the meal I ordered was just that. At least I got the 2 eggs that they said I would get on the menu. Then the toast was 2 untoasted halves of bread with butter spread on them. The quality of this meal was so bad I was too offended to continue eating it. I warn everyone reading this to not come here don't be fooled by the crowd and 4 star rating it has. First off let me say I wanted to go to a local/small business or non-franchised restaurant but I was overruled. Anyhow, I ordered the Sunny Seoul Hash which was a 5/10. The aioli was lackluster and meat portions were minimal. LOTS of potatoes! My husband ordered the Chickichanga which he scarfed down so, I'm sure it was great. My son ordered the Chile Chorizo and his portion of meat was also minimal. We brought up the meat quantities and the server said he would let "them" know but no discount/added meat or anything was offered. I absolutely love this place. My last experience one out of 4 has washed with the perfect order of food. Excellent customer service my server was perfect as each were each visit. I ordered the banana crunch granola pancake oh my goodness so yummy. My usual millionaire bacon cooked just as requested very very crispy. The potatoes very tasty crispy as requested. The side of softly scrambled eggs and bacon perfect as well. The server whom assisted me two of the 4 visits stopped by to say hello. Can't say enough about the great tasting fresh and hot food. Took 2 hours to get our food and then when food did come out our order was messed up we had bad service all around so of course we didn't leave a tip. You earn your tip it's not required! So go to pay and then as we're walking away in the parking lot the waitress takes the time to run outside and scream at us for not tipping her. Like I said you provided horrible service so why would you get tipped? And then to take it to the next level and chase down customers in the parking lot and harass them? This was a great breakfast place. The interior was clean and nice, the wait wasn't long, and they were able to accomodate a disability very quickly. The food was great as well! Really enjoyes my meal from first watch. I'm from Miami so moving to SA I was so sad to leave first watch behind, as they are everywhere. But to my surprise driving on the highway one day I saw a first watch cafe. This first watch was just as cute as any other. Nice hosts in the front and really good coffee while you wait of course! The line was pretty long and we waited about 30 mins or so. I managed to spill my coffee everywhere as I was making it, which is a very me thing to do. But I did clean it up myself lol and the staff seamed the least bit worried bout it. I appreciated that lol. Once we were seated I server came over right away. He brought our drink but then didn't return urn for about twenty mins or so. Granted it was pretty busy so I get it. He was Still really nice and gave us great service. I ordered the breakfast tacos with double eggs scrambled instead of chicken and chorizo. Apparently tthe side is either black beans or potatoes and I thkugh got it came with both. The server quickly brought over some potatoes as well. My tacos were AMAZING, seriously so good. This isn't a dish I believe we have in Florida so it was definitely a nice change. Egg and I had their problems but it felt manageable. As first watch i expected the change to bring improvements, and not just the facelift kind they pulled on the entire decor. Sadly i find myself 80% disappointed, an average from my last few visit experiences both by myself and with others. The wait can always be a problem, but its the tiny little "wait" area (2 benches and a coffee stand) thats situated right by the hostess/cashier stand. Making ingress/egress a nightmare when packed. You cant even reach the register to pay because of people awkardly blocking the area to avoid blocking the door. The Double Door thing is stupid. Close one off and add more seating so people have places to lean that dont include the comfy with the wall register. Passing that, the new interior is great. Top Marks. But then the food. Half the time its cold, overly salted, half cooked, or a terrible combo of all 3. The coffee seems to have gotten worse. Seriously sad but in my opinion the free coffee at my hair salon is better. I have an issue with the disjointed helping as well. They mean well and/or its how you've been trained... but if your heart isnt in it you just make things worse. I get one person take my drinks (or as most cases tell me my server will be right with me and im waiting 5 minutes for a glass of water when the people waiting for a table have access to free coffee and water next to them), another take my order, another bring it out (usually forgetting the syrup or other such thing) and my server coming back to ask how everything was after 10 minutes of flagging down random servers walking by to ask for things im missing. My First Watch experience was great from the time I entered the door. I was immediately greeted by the manager and the host. I ordered the crab omelet which is only available during the summer. OMG, what a delicious omelet. It was cooked to perfection and seasoned very well. It came with wheat toast and a side spring mix salad. This was much better than having the hotel breakfast. I highly recommend the crab omelet if you like crab. To rinse it all down, I tried the Kale Tonic Fresh Juice. It was very refreshing. It is a great blend of kale, fuji apple, cucumber, and lemon.
