Bad experience. I was sat next to two tables of screaming kids with parents loudly attempting to quiet down the kids. Waited 30+ minutes to get a traditional breakfast plate. Food was cold, potatoes were not cooked through and were extremely salty. Server was nice, but wasn't listening when I was trying to ask for a check and did not want them to remake my meal. 2 stars as I think the server was nice and he did comp the meal. Restaurant was very short staffed and the servers were cashier, hostess and bussers. Kitchen was obviously short staffed as well. Was told they got very busy with "to go" orders. While many restaurants do "to go" it is important to take care of the people in the dining room first. read more

Worst experience I've ever had at any First Watch ever. Server got overwhelmed, our food was over cooked, manager on duty did not care at all and our silverware was dirty. I ordered my waffle with no powdered sugar and they brought it out wrong, took it to the back, flipped it and then brought it out again. Insulting. They are a joke and get away with it because of location. Someone needs to make this First Watch quality again. Horrible! read more

We saw this place while we were driving by and decided to give it a try. We are so happy we decided to stop. The staff was friendly as soon as we entered and we really enjoyed the aesthetic of the inside. My wife had avocado toast and eggs while I got the trifecta and the food came out great. But they have rallied! Both the food and the service have improved since my first visit in May. I am excited to be back here today 10 Joy this comfortably casual restaurant with delicious dishes. Don't forget to "get in line" using the app or the Google listing. It will save you time in your wait. My predicted wait time was 20 to 30 minutes but because I used the online wait list when I arrive at the restaurant I was City within 5 minutes! Don't listen to the naysayers. It's funny, it says on the description here that masks are required. Nothing could be further from the truth. We are vacationing in Florida. We are from Ohio. We frequent First Watch a lot. In Ohio every restaurant is handling masks, social distancing, and safety very well. With plexiglass barriers between booths, and every other table not available for seating. We just stopped at the Santa Rosa Beach location. It was incredibly disappointing. I checked the First Watch policy online before we went. It says the restaurant practices social distancing. This location does not. It was incredibly irresponsible. They crammed everyone in one section, leaving another larger section virtually empty. The food was okay but there were endless fruit flies everywhere. You could see everyone swatting them away. But, if you are concerned about COVID, masks, or social distancing, this is not your place. read more

Food was not terrible, just terrible service started when we were seated no one came to our table for 10 minutes (I know not terrible but they were running around like chickens with there head cut off.) Our biggest concern with this place is that our food went from three different servers hands went to literally every table in restaurant before coming to our they even sat it in front of two people (Covid 19 health concerns please). Also when the food came everything was cold the bacon, the eggs. And the waffle... Dined here for the first time on 12/19/22. Wanted Donut Hole, but it was closed, so stopped in here. Very happy I did. Food was amazing. Not kidding. On a diet, so I had the Pesto, Chicken Quinoa Bowl. Very tasty. Who knew so much flavor could come out of a dietetic dish. My dining companions each had something different, and they were equally elated. I've lived here for 6 years, and have not found a breakfast/lunch place as good as this. I salute the chef. Me and my wife went on a Saturday around 10:30. We had 2 waitresses check on us once the entire time. We ran out of coffee and water and never got a refill. After have eaten over half of the BLT Eggs Benedict the waitress finally came by to ask about our food. Unfortunately , both of the Eggs Benedict had solid/ over cooked yolks. This lack of runny yolk was mentioned, along with the fact that the BLT Benedict was missing the advacado slices. Waitress pointed out that there was advacado on the plate, which we responded the small amount came from someone else's advacado toast. The waitress's question was too late into our breakfasts and no alternative was proved by staff. She also left before refilling 3 out of 4 of our empty water glasses. One good thing that once pointed out that two out of the four silverware sets had the napkins sticking to not properly cleaned utensils, they were quickly replaced by two more napkin wrapped knife/fork sets. Something minor, is that I prefer the English muffin to be toasted, which it appeared that mine was not. Also the Hollandaise sauce tasted more like lemon pudding; made from a powder mix, instead of freshly made sauce using real eggs and fresh lemon. read more

We were excited to see a First Watch at the beach. We had one in St. Louis and loved it. We were disappointed in this one. The server said they had lost five servers so we were patient with the service. We were a party of three. Three other families, one having 14 in the party came, were seated, and orders taken after us. Their food was delivered and they were almost finished before our food came out. When it did it was cold. The Belgian waffle was burned on the bottom almost like it had been put on a hot flat top, yet it was cold and rubbery. The French toast was cold and rubbery as well. The only entree that was somewhat hot was the gravy over the biscuits. We let our experience be known to the manager and she comp'd our bill. read more

First Watch is one of my favorite chains! We have visited multiple locations and always had a great experience until this one :-( We were quoted a 20 minute wait for our family of 9. After 35 minutes, we were finally seated but not at the clean open table that seats 12. Instead we were split into 2 booths that were across the restaurant from each other with different servers. 5 of our children at one table and 2 children and us parents at another. Before we were sat, I asked the hostess about the large table for 12 and she used "social distancing" as the excuse although they sat another party there, same size a few minutes later. I also asked for a kid menu for my 13 year old daughter who doesn't eat much, and even though hostess said it was okay, waitress refused to let her order off of it because she wasn't under 11. Our waitress was otherwise kind but kept calling our teenage daughters "luscious". Although I'm never been a fan of "honey" and "sweetie" endearments from complete strangers, they usually don't bother me much and I let it go. However "luscious" is just plain odd and inappropriate in my opinion. "Here's your french toast Luscious. Hope you enjoy!". When one of the girls asked for a take out cup to take more coffee to go, they charged us for another coffee on the bill too - first place I've ever been that doesn't have free coffee refills. ?? Lastly, of the 7-8 wait staff we saw, only 3 of them were actually wearing their masks. The others had them tucked under their chins or around their necks - neither their mouths nor noses were closed to being covered, including the young man who brought out all of our food :-( This place has only been open for 6 weeks but they definitely have some big kinks to work out. read more
