This place is snuggled inside a cozy plaza off of Atlanta road with various other businesses and restaurants such as South City Kitchen. We were a party of 2 around 10 am on a weekday so parking wasn't an issue but I would go early because it gets crowded quickly! On weekends I would recommend going on the website and adding your party to the waitlist so you don't have to wait as long in person. Food: It was our first time here and we wanted to try the skillets and pancakes especially! We got the parma hash , chickenchanga and banana granola pancake. The food was good, everything was well seasoned and presentation was nice. The pancake was hearty with the granola and definitely big enough to share! They offer hot house syrup with the pancakes and it was a nice touch. It was not too sweet and just right. Corbin was absolutely awesome! A lot of servers can seem like they could not hate their jobs more, and some are overbearingly positive and attentive always checking in on you, but Corbin was attentive and so relaxed at the same time where we could enjoy our meal without feeling watched over by a hawk. He was also very accommodating wherever he could be. I asked for a sample of their holiday juice. Instead of just getting my sample in a typical "dipping cup" from First Watch, Corbin came back out with a legitimate small glass cup with my sample. It's a minor thing, but a huge pleasant surprise. Corbin is definitely an exemplary guy, and everyone can definitely take a page out of his book! Of course, the food was great as always, but what really made our visit stand out was our waiter's ability to make us feel at home and at ease. I had a truly delicious brunch this past Saturday afternoon here with a good buddy. The Lemon Ricotta pancakes were amazing, large, and served hot. We had to ask for more syrup (they tried to be stingy with it), but they acquiesced. The waitress was very jovial and kind, and our food was delivered promptly. I added on a side of grits, which were not necessarily the best. I think they lacked sodium--I mean that were rich and creamy but the butter they used in them had to be salt-free. A little salt helps. The eggs were delicious, hot, and perfectly scrambled. I didnt' need the strawberry halves but they were good. I was too full to eat all of them. Thank you for a stellar brunch. The breakfast here is pretty darn good. It's located in a shopping center in between Atlanta Rd. and Cumebrland Pkwy. Very close to Azio's pizza and a few other boutique like shops. The parking lot is large but on a Saturday morning, I drove around the lot 5 times before I found something. I believe you can add yourself to the wait list through Yelp because that's what they use to add you to the list. Initially I was told 25 minutes and I could see through the Yelp app that there were 17 people in front of me. So I sat outside for a while. When I came back in, a large party got up from the long family style table that sits in the front of the restaurant. Some others sat down and I asked if it was first come first served, It IS!!!! SO, word to the wise, sit there if you can. The server was excellent and I didn't feel unattended to at all. I tried the turkey and egg white veggie omelet (~$10). I decided to skip the turkey and add chicken sausage patties on the side. It came with multigrain toast and jam. I also added breakfast potatoes (~$3). I would skip the breakfast potatoes next time, they were a little hard. The chicken sausage was really tasty, not greasy or anything like that. The veggies in the omelet were excellent. I wish the tomatoes that come on the side would have been inside the omelet but I made due. The coffee was outstanding, I love their brew!! The coffee is strong and great. The service is friendly and fast. The food is fresh and made to order. I had the waffle with scrambled eggs and potatoes. I've been dining at Fist Watch for over 15 years and have been on a first name basis with many of the staff that lasts. With no competition for breakfast/brunch in the area it does get busy, especially on weekends. We get in before 9:00 and usually get our favorite table on the patio. Customers should understand that post- COVID all retail and restaurants are struggling to attract, train and keep competent, motivated staff. A little patience during rush hour please. Management (are you listening) needs to create a mentally healthy and supportive work environment for the team. People leave jobs not always for the money but often because of the boss. I still had to wait 25 min after checking in from the yelp waitlist. I know they were busy but it's in poor taste to have a table right by the restroom in the aisle. Especially when people are bumping into you. I saw at least 2 tables along this line complain during our visit. One couple just took over a booth without telling anyone. Spent close to 4 hours at breakfast today: over an hour waiting for a table, over an hour for food to arrive. I didn't look at the reviews before going because I have been to several different First Watches and the experience has always been good. Lesson learned! The food was tasty but cold- it was obvious that it had been sitting before arriving at the table. My drink, the Purple Haze, had no lemon in it: it was basically water and lavender syrup. I added lemon to it and then it tasted as expected. Then there was my seat ordeal..... I arrived at First Watch with a party of 5. They said there was a 30 minutes wait, which seemed reasonable for a Saturday morning. After waiting for an hour (and seeing several parties that had arrived after us be seated), we asked to make sure we were still on the list. They said that it was taking longer because they were waiting for a 6 seater to become available so they could fit us there. We finally got called. We were offered a 4 seat booth with an additional chair, where I sat. After the waitress had taken our drink order, an older lady came saying that the health department would have a problem with me sitting off of the table. As soon as I got up from the chair, she took it and left me standing in the isle. I squeezed onto one of the benches, half my body was hanging out. A waiter came by and placed a chair where I had mine earlier, apologized, and said it was ok for me to sit there. A few minutes later he came back and said that the one who told me to move in the first place was the regional manager, so I had to move. As I took a deep breath before getting up, he shook the chair and said he needed the chair. Again, the moment I stood up, he took the chair and I was left standing and looking to see on which side I would squeeze into. The Vinnings is such a nice little area! I went to First Watch recently for a working lunch with one our business partners. It's located in a very popular plaza in the Smyrna/Vinings area. I was excited to say the least because I am an avid brunch enthusiast. Breakfast foods are some of the most delicious concoctions known to man but I digress. I decided to go with a Mexican omelet/burrito type dish and it did not disappoint. The food was extremely tasty. The service was also good as our waitress took good care of us. The only item that I did not enjoy that much was the cheese grits. I've had grits in all shapes, forms and types and this wasn't it. They lacked flavor and despite my efforts to doctor them up, they just didn't hit. Either way I would recommend that you check this place out. My fiancé and I went here on Monday. Although, this isn't our first time dining here, this is my first time writing a review on this restaurant. We totally forgot about adding ourselves to the waitlist prior to going. When we arrived, there was hardly anybody seating down at the tables. So we added ourselves to the waitlist and was told it would be a 45 minute wait. Well our 45 minute wait turned into 1.5 hour wait. Once seated, we were greeted by our waitress, Breana. She took our drink orders, which we ordered the Watermelon Wake Up and the Kale Tonic. For entrees, we ordered the Tri-Athlete with fresh fruit and whole grain artisan toast, smoked salmon and roasted vegetable frittata with seasoned potatoes and ciabatta, and a multigrain pancake. It took awhile for our food to come out. Today was definitely a slow day for this restaurant. Once we finally received our food, it was good. However, I wished my vegetables were cooked down a little more in my omelet because it was a little watery and my fiancé wished his potatoes were cooked a little longer because they were a little hard. Overall, it was good, but it definitely ate up a lot of our time for the day. Luckily, we didn't have a lot to do, but next time we will remember to add ourselves to the waitlist prior to going. I went Labor Day for brunch with my family. We decided to go because we've never been before and they have a lot of options. They also had pretty good reviews so we decided to try them. Given it was the holiday, they were rather busy, but I was able to join the line through here before I even arrived at the restaurant. I believe the wait time was estimated between 60-80 mins. When I got to the restaurant I was able to check in and not long after we got there, our table was ready. Unfortunately our waitress wasn't the greatest. She wasn't necessarily bad, but again she wasn't great. I know it was busy but it took her forever to come and take our orders. I will say she was prompt in taking our drink orders when we first got to the table, but since it was our first time we needed some time to review the menu. She did give recommendations, but it was almost the whole menu so it wasn't necessarily helpful in anyone narrowing anything down. After that, we hadn't seen her for a good bit. Mind you we were starving so all we wanted to do was get our food orders in once we decided. I ordered the Tri-Fecta which you get 2 eggs any style, choice of meat (I got the bacon), and then a whole wheat pancake (I sub. for the lemon ricotta pancake). Again, it took forever for our food to arrive to our table and during that time our waitress never came to check on us, let us know the time frame of our food, or see if we needed anymore drinks. I know they leave the coffee canister and water on the table, but those were fairly low and she never came back to the table. When our meal finally arrived, it was just ok. My mom didn't enjoy her meal, and my dad's meal wasn't what he expected. I will say I did enjoy my pancake though. I felt bad because my sister and I wanted to try this place and everyone was rather underwhelmed. I would say that First Watch was just average for us and nothing spectacular. We originally planned on going to J.
