What better way to kick off the Holiday of Summer - Fourth of July, than with the Summer menu. Met friends for breakfast this morning, before things got crazy with the Holiday Weekend. The Summer menu has a new drink, WATERMELON WAKE-UP: Watermelon, pineapple, lime and mint. Very refreshing. Our table opted for two other items off the Summer menu: ELOTE BREAKFAST BURRITO & STRAWBERRY TRES LECHES FRENCH TOAST. As always, food was fresh, flavorful, and hit the spot. Our server, Ebony, provided great friendly service. Great place to grab breakfast and work, meet friends, or have a quick meeting.

Food was very tasty and service was great. Restaurant was very busy but we only had to wait 10 minutes.

First Watch is one of my favorite places to get brunch. The food is consistently good. Even though they are usually very busy we get seated quickly. I got a seasonal caramel coffee to drink. It was very good. I got the triathlete omelette with potatoes as my main course. I don't know why this omelette is so good but I would highly recommend it. I also split a blueberry muffin with my husband. It tasted very fresh. First watch has a large menu with great breakfast and lunch options. The staff is always helpful and friendly. The restaurant has a modern farmhouse vibe.

Did a breakfast date with hubby this morning and wanted to try this location. It's located in the streets of St. Charles. Parking was plentiful. Upon walking in it's a bit congested and crowded and limited space. Shaped like shotgun which means straight line seating . Decent space between tables. Service was speedy and waitress was helpful on ordering. I ordered Belgium Waffle and million dollar bacon . It could have been hotter but not worth the argument. Hubby ordered biscuits and gravy, potatoes, scrambled eggs and grits. His was hot and delicious per him. Coffee was hot. Patio seating was available as well .

Million Dollar Bacon, Elevated Egg Sandwich, Sunrise Granola Bowl

easy to join waitlist, we only waited about 10 mins (maybe) and there was a 5-15 minute wait. not a lot of seating in the wait area but they get you seated pretty fast so it wasn't a huge problem. staff was super nice and fast, didn't feel anxious or rushed to order. food was very good, a lot of flexible and healthy options. it was pretty loud in there but it was around lunch so it was to be expected. I got the elevated egg sandwich w/ no avocado with the potatoes and my boyfriend got the sunrise granola bowl with the muffin and he got the pineapple express to drink. all was SOO GOOD!!! the fruit tasted fresh in the granola bowl and the pineapple express it was so refreshing!! my sandwich was pretty mid but the potatoes were amazing!! we also got a side of the million dollar bacon and it was sweet/spicy so if you're into that it was amazing!

Decided to have first breakfast of 2025 at First Watch. Only few minutes from hotels. Perfect timing at 9:30am before it gets real busy at 10am. Friendly waitress serves us and communicate with us well. These food were delicious. I'd come back again thank you

Their automated cue system is not effective. We came here on a Saturday around 10.30am and were told that wait time is 45 minutes and they tell everyone the same. But we saw some people came after us, cut us off and got a table earlier than us! We had to wait 50 minutes to get a table. It was so uncomfortable waiting by the door and people were trying to get in/out. This place can't handle more than 30 people at a time on weekends, especially in winter: there is only few tables inside. Breakfast skillet hash that I ordered was just ok, nothing special. I will definitely go somewhere else next time. UPDATE: Business owner responded (see below) and I thought it was nice they wanted to reach out to me to improve customer relations and but noone ever called or emailed me back.

Solid breakfast place! Can get very busy so highly recommend getting in line online before you get there. I tried First Watch at another location in the past and wasn't a big fan but was pretty pleased this time.

We used the app and got onto the waitlist. We checked in at 11:30 AM but when we got to the restaurant at 12:00 PM they were still not ready for us, the app said 30 minutes. So we sat at the community table. We ordered at 12 PM but did not get our food till after 1 PM. Our order was wrong. Before we even said anything the server said they took care of our ticket because they knew the order was wrong and we waited so long. The server was incredibly nice and the manager was working so hard I felt so bad for him. The manager was working the front and back house.

Absolutely loved our breakfast here! My husband and I sat on the patio overlooking the river, and…read morethe view alone made it worth the visit! So peaceful, beautiful, and the perfect start to our morning! What truly made the experience exceptional was our server, Jenn. She was incredible from start to finish!! She was warm, attentive, and genuinely thoughtful. She made great recommendations, checked on us at all the right times, and went above and beyond in ways you don't see often. My husband is picky about biscuits and gravy, and Jenn kindly brought him a sample of the gravy first to make sure he'd like it...such a small gesture to some people, but truly made it special for my husband. She even sent us off with coffee to go, which we really appreciated!! The food was just as impressive. I had the traditional breakfast. Everything was cooked perfectly, the potatoes were nice and crispy, Jenn recommended the ham, which was so flavorful and perfectly charred, so good!!! My husband ended up loving his biscuits and gravy! Between the amazing service, delicious food, and relaxing riverfront setting, this was easily one of our favorite breakfast experiences. Jenn truly made it memorable, and we'll definitely be asking for her every time we come back. Can't wait to return!!

What a charming cafe in the middle of a charming Downtown area!…read more It was freezing the morning we went in, but I was wanting breakfast - specifically pancakes. I had this place in the bookmarks and figured now was the best time to visit. Parking can be an issues in Downtown St. Charles since it is limited to street parking or public parking a few blocks away. We found parking right in front of FPC, mainly because it was a cold, Monday morning. We were greeted immediately, and inside was much smaller than I expected. We got seated right away though, and a good chance to really review the menu. I got a house coffee (delicious), and my husband got a Purple Haze Lemonade. We ended up getting a kid's pancake with bacon and scrambled eggs, Short Rib Breakfast Stack, and a Bomb Burrito. The pancake for my 2 year old was MASSIVE so it was a good day for him lol. The short rib stack was yummy - hash browns with runny eggs and meat on top. The burrito was also pretty good. Our breakfast entrees came with a side order of potatoes and while it was good, it got saltier over time so I might not get that next time. They advertise beignets, so we might go for that next time and try out their lunch menu!

I normally don't like leaving negative reviews, but something felt different this time. When we walked in there was only one other couple dining, and there was noticeable clutter sitting in the corners of the restaurant. It gave the place a different feel than what we remembered from our last visit. I ordered the Creole Breakfast Gravy. The biscuit itself was excellent--light, fluffy, and exactly how a biscuit should be. Unfortunately the gravy was disappointing. It tasted more like regular sausage gravy with a heavy amount of cayenne pepper and Cajun seasoning added to it. The flavors just didn't balance well. My wife ordered the Eggs Benedict. One poached egg was perfect, but the other came out over medium. That's something a trained chef normally wouldn't send out, and it made me feel like the kitchen might have a cook working the line rather than a chef overseeing the dishes. I do want to say the waitress was phenomenal. She was very attentive, friendly, and always made sure our coffee stayed fresh and hot. Her service was definitely the highlight of the visit. We will likely come back again because we know this restaurant can do better. Hopefully the kitchen can correct a few things and bring the consistency back.

I'd suggest that people were there to visit downtown St. Charles, or whatever it's called, which has a certain old-timey charm to it, but everything else was closed--presumably until later in the day, but who knows. That fentanyl is a menace. Parking could be a pain, if it's not the wee hours of the morning on a weekend, and you're not ambulatory enough to walk from a block or two over, and yet you're going to get essentially the equivalent of a milkshake and a donut. Inside is rustic, inviting and larger than you'd think, with an upstairs area that I didn't bother to explore, due to lack of curiosity. We had a larger group and ended up pushing a few smaller tables together, plus a few chairs we borrowed from other tables. No one seemed to mind. The key is not to ask first. That mentality will take you far in both the world of finance and dating. I'm kind of over ordering food from coffee shops, where they're obviously just throwing something in the microwave and charging you $10 for it, but I needed something to eat. I'd just gone for a run. Their burrito looked like the textbook definition of cultural appropriation, but it also looked like it might not be half bad. I had their equivalent of an Egg McMuffin, called Ron's Breakfast Sandwich, or something to that effect. When I hear the name Ron, I of course think of Sasso from Carlito's Way, but that probably says more about me than anything else. I'm assuming he didn't have anything to do with this. Essentially, this was a store-bought English muffin, a surprisingly generous and delicious helping of cheddar cheese, a few slices of seemingly prepackaged black forest ham and a fried egg. It was fine for what it was. Could the egg have been salted, could the muffin have been buttered and could the ham been an actual slice of Canadian bacon, or even better, American bacon? Sure, but I went into this with low expectations. The cheddar was melty and delicious, and weirdly abundant, but processed American cheese would have been more fitting for this kind of sandwich. You'd think a guy named Ron wouldn't object to processed foods. The caramel frappe I had was amazing. I got it with whole milk and whipped cream. I didn't bother to check and see if they charge you extra for whipped cream, which is the kind of crap some of these places have been known to pull. I got the 16 oz instead of the 20 oz, but it was probably still enough to take a day off the end of my life (when I don't need it as much anyway fwiw). Sometimes, when a food item tastes good enough, you can just tell it's not good for you, and that was the case with this drink. It was decidedly rich. I'm never in this part of town, and if I were, it would be at night, natch, but if things ever get to the point where they're clearly trending in that direction, I might start stopping by on the reg and getting that caramel frappe just to speed along the process of my demise.
