This was hands down my favorite meal on all of Kauai! From the craft cocktails to the fresh, flavorful food, everything was absolutely perfect. The cocktails were so creative, light, and refreshing. Very unique as well. The Bikini Wax was surprisingly my favorite. We started with the ahi bruschetta, which was such an interesting combination of flavors and textures -- absolutely delicious. We were seriously tempted to lick the plate! The tuna melt was next level -- the most gourmet, fresh, and flavorful tuna melt I've ever had. The island fish sandwich with its crispy cornmeal breading was perfectly cooked and bursting with flavor. I also had a salad that smelled so fresh the moment it hit the table. The spring mix was the most decadent-tasting I've ever had, and the citrus vinaigrette tied it all together beautifully. The atmosphere was cozy and inviting, with a small bar that fills up quickly -- so be prepared to wait. Love, love, love. Modern with classic old school Kapaa vibes. Majority of the seating is at the bar with backless stools, which is good with me. They have a full bar. The menu is creative and fresh. Have been here a couple of times before today for drinks, and it's special. The fish chowder is 5 star!!! Also try the bowls which are amazing and reasonably priced. We loved everything about this place! It was awesome to know we were in a safe/queer friendly restaurant. While the space itself is on the smaller side it doesn't feel cramped or uncomfortable. Hipster little corner joint with a pricey menu. Several restaurants in this area but this was likely one of the nicer options that offered indoor seating with a full menu and bar. This was our last travel day so we were looking for true dine in service and indoor seating to relax (also 30 weeks pregnant at the time). Busy ambiance with lots of chatter but was a good experience. There is plenty of breeze coming through the open air windows to cool off over a dine in meal. Food was delicious - we had the fish & chips, fish sandwich and goat cheese and greens salad. Salad greens were fresh, French fries were some of the best I've had and all of the fish was of quality. The menu is a bit steep but somewhat expected. It came out to be about an $80 lunch after a tip and waters to drink. Service was on par but nothing over the top for the price. You can either order at the counter to go or be sat and dine in with a waitress for service. We saw many pleased guests come and go while we were there. There is also a deli and bottle shop with other goods for sale attached to this restaurant. It is one of its kind in Kapaa. read more

They were mid, the grapefruit in ceviche brought the bitterness that was not enjoyable for our taste. While shopping in Lihue town decided to stop by and pick up some items and picked up some Chocolate covered Mac nuts made on Kauai and is very very good! A local walked in and said oh I always come here to pick up the chocolate made in Kauai it's delicious! So decided to try some and she was correct. The fresh fish section wasn't that large most salmon and some other fish, but either they sold out of the poke or it didn't come in yet. But they have interesting items in the store for sale or sit back and have a drink and watch the crowds of people looking around town. read more

When they literally tell you that they have no idea how long it'll be before you might get a table, that tells you the kind of experience you're gonna have. We're talking 2+ hrs. The Ono & shutome chowder was just too heavy and I barely ate any. The macaroon was huge and packed with coconut. It wasn't bad, but a little too sweet for me. Mango iced tea is good, but not worth $6 for a tiny cup. The place is cute with some seats at the bar and a few seats at this window that overlooks the street. The food was amazing. Server recommended the Bowl Lunch and described it with such adoration that I had to have it. Poke, mac salad, rice, fried chicken and this magical College Sauce that I could drink. My daughter had the Fresh Island Fish Sandwich made with the catch of the day - double stacked, breaded and fried fillets in a brioche bun with a spicy tartar sauce. My son had the Double Decker Diner Burger tons of meat and delish fries. They were really busy when we stopped in so it took about 30 minutes to get a table and another 20 minute to get our food. Throughly impressed by this eclectic restaurant that bills itself as a deli, restaurant, bar, and market. The whole place reminded me of Cape Cod...New England meets Hawaii vibes. The decor was very inviting, down to the cute metal quarter sheets they use as plates. The servers were all so kind and friendly. But the food was truly spectacular. The ceviche was fresh with the perfect amount of lime and seasoning, and a huge pile of chips. The ahi bruschetta was so unique and delicious, a Hawaiian Italian fusion that I never knew I needed to eat! The soup/salad combo was huge. The soup was a marlin chowder (so creamy and filled with large chunks of fish and potato) and the salad was sunflower seeds and feta with poppyseed dressing. Filling but light. Also tried the shrimp popper sandwich, the fries were those magical fries, when they're super craggy and crispy on the outside but fluffy and soft on the inside. The shrimp was delicious, juicy. The added cabbage helped with the dryness as there wasn't much sauce on it. Tuna curry melt - good crunch on the bread and soft on the inner side. This place is super yummy. I always love getting their ceviche. It's the snack and so refreshing. Their vegan Caesar Kale salad is super tasty. And lots talk about their signature cocktails. Tell me where else you can get flavors of the island that's so fresh and has incredible flavor? I'll tell you... nowhere else but the Fish Bar Deli. It is so hard not to chug their cocktails in one gulp and savor them. My friend and I joke about them just filling our hydroflask with their delicious drinks. If you want to try unique flavors you find on the islands with super fresh ingredients come here. Only downfall of this place is it's on the small we side so not tons of seating and it's all bar seating which sucks if you come with a group of friends. Makes having group conversations really hard. I wanted their taro empanada that I saw in a photo but they didn't have it that night. I asked for a virgin cocktail and the barista tried her hand at making the their Taro cocktail virgin and it was very delicious! I def. recommend. The vibe of the place is very fun and lively.
