Use to come here pretty consistently but quality has gone done recently. On my last visit I found several very long hairs in my fish and rice. This is the McDonald's of seafood. I ordered the grilled ahi tuna with vegetables. The fish was tough and overcooked and flavorless. The vegetables however were cooked properly. I experienced a better customer experience at the Subway next door and would recommend going there instead. read more

The food is ok, nothing too special. The prices are pretty steep, but then again it's fish and seafood, so it's to be expected. I've had better flavored fish...However, their fish tacos are pretty good and they're a good sized portion. I usually get two and am pretty full. read more

The staff's t shirts say it all. I love fish dish. Just about everyday I eat here. Especially since it is conveniently located next to my job. So fresh and tasty and the portion is big enough for the buck. Must try the pollack but don't get the fries, sub for pasta or rice or veggies, Hawaiian bbq chicken plate w/ cilantro rice and sautéed veggies, and the list goes on. Adding mild salsa into the rice elevates the experience. Try it out and see what you think. read more

Love their talapia plate. The only thing I dont like is that when you want substitutions they charge extra, which is normal I guess, but its still annoying. You mean if I don't want the sides that the plate comes with, you have to pay $1.50 extra for each substitution? My meal just went from $10 to $13, and i'm getting the same portions, not anything extra just a different option. read more

Went to the Fish dish today for lunch. It was my second visit and therefore figured i could fairly rate the place now. I got the cajun grill salmon and it was yummy. I work here in Burbank, but live in the El Segundo area. The fish dish reminds me of the fish grill in el segundo/manhattan beach. If you're looking for a healthy lunch/dinner, i would recommend the fish dish. read more

My husband had the salmon with brown rice and I had a couple tacos- 1 fish and 1 shrimp. This place has really stepped it up since we first came here when they were new. The best fresh fish in town with very reasonable prices. Avoid noon to 2 PM because you may not get a seat and service can be slow, but it is worth the wait if that is the only time you can go. The staff is very friendly. read more

Don't get me wrong the food is pretty good here, and if you are eating in than its all good. My issue happened today when I ordered food on Grub Hub for pick up. I show up and find out the cashier hasn't received my order, so she goes to the back and finds my order and apologizes and says they will make it right away. I normally am fine with simple mistakes and walk over and get condiments and sit down to wait. I than notice a few people order after me and receive their food before me. It was not a very busy time so I was confused. I was now in this place for over 20 minutes for an online order I placed before I came, and now I had to call my boss and inform him I was going to be late for work now because of the horrible service at Fish Dish. Finally they figure out my horribly difficult Salmon Plate order, and I get to work 15 minutes late. Don't order for pick up if in any hurry. read more

After flying into bob Hope airport we were tired and in need of a good fish dinner. The mahimahi salad was large and full of fresh greens and a big piece of fish. The device was excellent and we watched s very good employee wipe down every chair from seat to legs. Never saw that before. Anywhere. Bathroom was clean and restaurant was tidy. I've been to this restaurant a lot of times now. I love the food. I only gave 3 stars though because of the workers. This cashier, I think she's new because I didn't see her there before, is really bad. Bad customer service. She can barely speak english. And she messes up a lot of times. She doesn't know what to reply to us and she probably just makes up her answers. Also, it's always her and this other girl working there having their LOUD conversations in spanish. Like come on now, I want to enjoy eating there but not listening to them blabbering about whatever. Hopefully the manager or owner does something about those employees. read more

Calimari plate- calimari good except for hard(toothbreaking) bits on the edges of breading, garlic bread not greasy but too mild, french fries ORANGE & unedible. Hubby had grilled trout ,cole slaw, fries(not orange) he said it was all good, he also had catfish tacos that had an orange sauce that was a bit spicier than he liked. Why my fries were orange & his were normal I don't know. wow, how to describe my horrible experience at this location! i should have known when i walked in and saw no other customers, not even 1, to turn back and avoid old food. not to mention the staff of 6 who was just standing around and eating a nice plate of food in the kitchen and prep area. gross! im serve safe certified and know that that is way against regulation. after ordering, i noticed the cooks who were eating their plate of pasta and seafood from the looks of it, didnt even wash their hands before beginning to prep my food....rather 2 of them slapped some gloves on while 1 didnt and carried on! i got fish and calamari combo, plus an order of the trout, a la cart. ummmm, took my food home, less then 80% was edible. no surprise the employees were more pre occupied with their own plate of food, then the $17.00 i just spent.my fries were old old old, stale and just inedible. come to think of it, i never saw them drop fries ( and i was watching them except for when i went to pack up some sauce to go) the fish piece was slimy and not fully cooked! the calamari was old and discolored ,so gross! the slaw was mush! gross mush! and the slice of bread was soooooooo stale, my dogs wouldn't even eat it. it was like dry wall.the only edible thing was the trout which they forgot to season with salt or pepper (bland as heck) and the skin was not crispy or cooked. so very disappointing. its so unfair to spend my money for lazy prepared food! i would never give customers such little effort and attention, its just not fair! read more

I lorder from here frequently but I'm now going to start looking for a new place due to their inconsistency, lack of care for their customers and pricing. Today for the first time I was charged an additional 1.35 just because I wanted to replace the rice and coleslaw for a salad. I know it's only 1.35 but the Halibut is already 21.50 without this additional charge. When I asked about this the lady at the front explained the reasoning on why they charge extra. I still thought it was a rip off but I would have been ok, but she then said that she's been working there for a very long time and it's always been that way. Well, I just checked my Yelp 24 account and I have ordered the same exact plate 6 times through Yelp, and a dozen other times in person and I have never been charged this before. Why do you charge more for a salad? I cannot believe this costs more than rice and Coleslaw? Really ridiculous! For this price I might as well go to a restaurant. The only reason I'm giving them a 3 is because I do like their salmon and the price for that is very reasonable. read more
