I finally tried Fish only since it's on my commute , I order over the counter , I've never been there but I knew I wanted Shrimp and fish , I found parking , I notice a lot of pick up and I figured it must be good . I was told to wait 10 minutes and they didn't lied , I gotta say the seafood was fresh , they fried rice was actually fried rice , portions were good , in total with a can coke I paid 18 & some change ! The food great so was the staff

The food was absolutely amazing! I order their seafood combo, which included breaded tilapia fish, bread shrimp, coleslaw, fried rice, and a lemon wedge. The food was perfectly crispy not too crunchy and not too soft. The food comes with tartar sauce, although I dnt believe it's home made, nor is it mentioned to be. Next time I'll have to ask. The dining area is a bit outdated and could use an update, however, that's not the main reason we're here. Overall, I'd rate the food a 5 and the dining area a 2, service was a 5 ( owner, was extremely nice). Good lil hole in the wall (just a saying, not literally).

Fish boat with Tatar sauce and Thai ice coffee

The coworkers & myself order some food to enjoy together. I myself ordered the fish boat along side with it a Thai ice coffee while my co workers ordered another boat, and a plate! The service is fast if you call in your order or if you go in person. The place is small and inside a small plaza across the hospital, so if you're looking for some decent good fried seafood, I would recommend this place!

Guy that serve the food was on it fast , and very attentive, place is kind of hidden but has good seating and nice to seat and enjoy this very good food , good job on this place Also the fried rice serve here is off the charts ... super flavorful

The Shrimp with Hot Garlic Sauce from Fish Only is absolutely delicious. Highly recommended!

The Shrimp with Hot Garlic Sauce from Fish Only is fire! Shrimp were fresh, perfectly cooked, and the sauce had the right balance of heat and garlic without being overpowering. Packed with flavor and not greasy--definitely one of my go-to orders. Highly recommend if you're into bold, spicy seafood.

    New menu and prices!

Fish Only now has a new menu with new prices. I come here often for lunch and to take dinner home for my family. I've tried most plates and they never disappoint. All plates are made to order and are fresh!

been coming here since around 1998. the food remains consistent, now that's impressive! Super tasty rice, Great crunch and taste on the batter. I love that they butterfly the shrimp and remove the little dark line. The fish, no matter which one you decide is always cooked right, I've never had a dry piece. I remember the man with the short hair when we were both kids. My dad used to buy food from him, and now I buy food from his son. The price is right and the portions are generous. Thank you for being so consistent over the years, I truly have great memories of my parents and I coming here, as well as picking up food for my crew back in the day when I used to work for George Rice & Sons up on Soto & Valley. The crew loved this food, and so do I.

We arrived at about 10am (opening time) and we were able to find a good spot in the private parking lot. There were at least 10 other people that must've had the same idea and show up early to beat the traffic. We opted for the grilled halibut and seabass dishes with garlic bread, rice, salad, and ceviche. Even though it was a little cool from the rainy weather, it was still nice enough to eat outside in an enclosed patio with electric heaters. They also have two restroom facilities for any bathroom needs. The main area where we ordered was also where we picked up our orders. We also had the option to call ahead and place orders for pick up/to go. Those were processed in the Seafood Market section (where they had different fresh fish and seafood options). The food was pretty good--opted for garlic butter sauce for the fish and it was the perfect complement to the halibut, but the sea bass was honestly so tender that it needed no sauce. The salad and dressing were as expected. Same with the rice. All of these portions were pretty big. The garlic bread was also pretty tasty and a juge portion, but the ceviche, although good, was a smaller portion than expected. It was fresh and quite flavorful and came with a side of chips. The food was delicious, environment was nice, and we came across others that made the trek out early to enjoy the food at this spot. Will definitely visit again in the future.

Fries were cold .but everything else was fresh but again, nothing stood out. The clam chowder was not salty enough. But it had so much clam pieces! The garlic bread was amazing. I love garlic and this alone was their saving grace. You can taste the fresh garlic and butter! Overall I wouldn't come back but I do see that there are A LOT of loyal patrons. So I would suggest to give them a try.

I ended up ordering the 7 shrimp rice, beans, gravy combo, coke zero and I asked for a side of that delicious and somewhat familiar looking chili. They take the order on a tablet that takes all forms of payment tap card included. Dining room is small but clean, some out door seating, plenty of parking around the establishment. Aromatics from the shrimp were crazy on the way to lunch. I was ready to dig in already. The shrimp are as good as they look, if you like thick golden batter, it was hot fresh and crispy, I can see why some people wouldn't like the batter, might be overwhelming to some, a little greasy but I enjoyed it, the shrimp were a decent size and it was definitely a comfort style food. A good treat. The rice, beans and gravy are served together, so good, everything tasted fresh and was a great compliment to the shrimp. The very familiar side of chili will remind you of a famous chain that rhymes with Johnny's. Great chili. It was my favorite part of my order, mixed in with the rice beans and gravy and even on the shrimp, it was flavour town. Maybe not fancy dining and dishes, but good enough that you'd get it again. I enjoyed the food, as it fit the cravings. The funny part is that I went back two days in a row. Originally I went to try one of my favorites, fish and chips, but had to get some shrimp to go with the name on the billboard. Even after driving it all the way back to the office, it was crispy enough that I enjoyed it. The fries were good too. Now the kicker is that I didn't know they sold Teriyaki plates. So I went back the next day to try a teriyaki beef and chicken plate. Now the sauce was good, as it is like much lunch plate flavor, and the beef and chicken was tender. The slices were thin though, and wished they were a bit larger. Overall, the service was friendly, but the dining area is small, so keep that in mind if you plan on dining it. Both times I went there were seats available though. Next time I want to try their chili fries. Enjoy!!!

Barbara's at the Brewery is definitely the highlight of the street because the sign is so large and parking is centered all around it but I still got confused on where the entrance was. I thought the entrance is where the large sign you see from the street is, but actually you have to walk past that sign and past the gate and all the way straight to the yellow building up ahead and that's when you run straight into Barbara's. There are two entrances but I didn't realize I was closer to the main one and somehow I walked all the way to the left and around up some stairs to go in from what I guess must be the back door. Next time once you are at the yellow building go around the right and the door is almost immediately to your left. Once inside I liked the vibe. There are two rooms, one is the bar area room and one is the room where people can just take their food or drinks and just hang out and eat. I went to the bar and the bartender was super friendly and he let me taste test the beer before ordering. I got the Poppiness beer which was very delicious and refreshing, ice cold. I sipped it slowly and it stayed cold throughout my whole meal. To eat I ordered the fried chicken sandwich with fries. I don't often eat fried food because my belly will hurt, but it was one of the few chicken items on the menu and I went for it. Good thing I did! The sandwich was absolutely delicious. The outside is perfectly crunchy that every time you bite in there is this satisfying crunch noise, and the inside chicken is a good thick portion of chicken and it is so moist and flavorful. I gobbled that sandwich down and wished I could get a second to go haha! The best thing though is that my belly did not hurt after eating this sandwich, I'm thinking the ingredients must be really clean. I definitely loved the food, the drinks, and the vibe of the place, and would 100% stop by again if I'm in the area!

Obviously added charges ( I did leave a tip so it really cost me $13.56) Seriously it's 12 noon on a Tuesday??? I've traveled to many states and also overseas and have paid this much for a TOURIST location. Highland park is not that kind of place where charging this much for a single beer makes sense. Will I come back? Absolutely not I'm reading lots of reviews and seeing proof of this place up charging customers and now I'm telling you the same this place is not worth your hard earned money. IF this place served 20oz pints my review would not have been so concerning. My advice to this business is lower your prices or more people will be opting out of this place. I was planning to bring my wife sometime but on second thought I don't think it's worth it. I can spend this kind of money at a more upscale bar with a coastal view. There was a man sitting at the very end of the bar with his laptop and he acted like he was on something. Kept getting g up and walking behind the bar to grab canned drinks over and over. He must have been an owner/manager? My man, maybe if you stopped drinking your own supply the beer prices would be lower. Try to taste your food the speed you were eating looked like you were about to have a heart attack. Pros; it's a bar that opens at 12 Cons: ridiculously high beer prices
