I mean, if you don't like something you don't like something it's not because it's bad it could be you don't like their combination of flavors. The catfish to me is dusted with seasonings. I like a little more, but that's my pallet, but this is still really good. I will say this time the catfish fillets were very, very thin! The coleslaw vinegar base ? not my style, doesn't mean it's not good -not my style. the french fries are seasoned shoestrings. / not my style. I love crinkle cut with seasoning, salt / you like an apple. I like an orange it just is what This place is literally around the block from where I live and I just wish I would eat catfish more. Delicious and plentiful food at very reasonable prices. Can't really ask for all that much when you are coming here for value. Fried foods uses corn meal breading for super light super crispy crust. Cole slaw is lightly seasoned dresses with a sweet vinegar barley any mayo. The fried rice that comes with the combo is a simple soy sauce fried rice but was my favorite thing we ate! So much flavor in something so simple. Shrimp in garlic sauce barely has any spice and not nearly enough garlic. Felt more like a chop suey stir fry. House drinks available: home crewed ice tea, lemonade, or Thai ice tea I had the Thai tea today and can confirm it's authentic in fact possibly one of the best Thai tea I've had!!! The food was absolutely amazing! I order their seafood combo, which included breaded tilapia fish, bread shrimp, coleslaw, fried rice, and a lemon wedge. The food was perfectly crispy not too crunchy and not too soft. The food comes with tartar sauce, although I dnt believe it's home made, nor is it mentioned to be. Next time I'll have to ask. The dining area is a bit outdated and could use an update, however, that's not the main reason we're here. I love that they butterfly the shrimp and remove the little dark line. The fish, no matter which one you decide is always cooked right, I've never had a dry piece. I remember the man with the short hair when we were both kids. My dad used to buy food from him, and now I buy food from his son. The price is right and the portions are generous. Finally tried this place. I had a snapper sandwich, grilled and a side of fries. To go. The woman who took my order was helpful and friendly. The fries were fresh and pretty good for thin shoestring. Sandwich roll was very good. The fish was ok. The tartar was pretty bland, could use more pickle relish and herbs. Together, it came to about $18. Not good enough for that price. And why the upcharge for grilled vs. fried? This is common practice but I never understand it. Why is adding batter and frying cheaper than grilling? No way. So you get punished for having it the healthier way. I hear San Marino is closed. Looks like Fish King in Glendale is the only place around still to get a good grilled fish sandwich for a reasonable price. read more

I've been going to Fish Only for over 20 years. The quality of the food here is consistently good, and the bang for your buck at this place is great. They have a lot of different things on the menu, but by far, my favorite is the Shrimp with Hot Garlic Sauce. Like many restaurants, COVID-19 really screwed things up, and they are not open to 8:00 PM any more like they used to be. I wish they would go back to their old hours because there have been many times I wanted to grab dinner here, but they were already closed for the day. read more
