Visited Fisherman's cove on a Saturday and it surprisingly was not busy! I think it was because the weekend we went bodega was super windy and chilly. So luckily, we did not have to wait in a long line. The person who took our order was super friendly and overall the staff was very kind. We ordered a dozen oysters, fish and chips and a bowl of clam chowder. The oysters were delicious and tasted very fresh. The clam chowder was also yummy and had a good serving of clams, it wasn't too thick too which was nice - perfect for the cold weather. The fish and chips though is where it was not too great, it lacked flavor and we had to use a lot of tartar sauce to eat it. The cleanliness could use improvement as the Tabasco and ketchup bottles were really dirty and did not seem like it was cleaned daily. Stumbled across this water side local seafood spot while on vacation in Bodega Bay. Caught our eye since the line was so long so we jumped right in with everyone else! While the line was long it moved quickly and the service was extremely quick as well. Everyone was so nice and the food was fresh and the portions were huge. Fantastic spot for all your coastal delicacies! Fresh, clean, smooth oysters with a drinkable mignonette that was the perfect blend of acid, heat and sweet. Crispy fresh fish and chips. Driving through town we decided we better eat. We were at a gas station and I yelped it. Thanks again to yelp it was a fantastic place. Indoor outdoor eating right across from the bay. We had shrimp cocktail the sauce was delicious packed full of Shrimp, 1/2 avocado tomato slices, lemon wedges. Fresh even without the sauce the shrimp were really fresh & so good! Small clam chowder was very good of course it came with the crackers. Fish & beer battered fries. Generous portion of fish on a basket full of French fries. The fish was battered & fried perfect. I'm super picky about fish, Fresh no fishy flavor. I pulled it apart to cool off before I took the picture opps! The tartar sauce was really good. I ate the fish and was really full so I gave my husband my fries he said they were good. My husband had a big Tri tip sandwich it had peppers and onions and multiple sauces on it. The meat was piled high! I tasted it and the meat was tender fall apart juicy. This place knows their sauces they were all so good! They have all kinds of wine, beer & Gelato. There was only one other set of people eating and they were talking about how good everything was especially the oysters. I've never had them and since we had 4 more hours to drive I played it safe. It's a cute little town it would be a great place to hang out on the patio . Over all I'm so glad we went backwards to find this place. Bonus it was a perfect day, light misty rain so we ate inside. They had the windows open. Beautiful view of the bay & boats. In the parking lot behind the building there were wild turkeys foraging up the hill. I'm a city girl so this gave me all the feels. I've eaten a fair amount of lobster rolls throughout my life, and one bite of this made me in shock. Probably the best lobster roll I've ever had. Looks can be deceiving as I thought the roll would be hard, but it was pillowy soft while still toaster. The lobster and mayo were immaculate, plenty for the roll and so flavorful & juicy. Ugh I'm still dreaming about it. Good amount of shared seating indoors & outdoors and folks were nice. The grilled garlic butter oysters were also so fresh & tasty. First time coming here. It was a Thursday and I decided to head to Bodega Bay. I ended up at Fisherman's Cove and got fish & chips and a small bowl of clam chowder. Both were served hot and tasty. I was glad they brought the soup first. It was piping hot but yummy. Customer service was great. You order, pay, they give you a number and you go and find a place to sit. There's seating inside and out. Keep in mind that there's a lot of bees buzzing around in the patio area. I found 1 where I was sitting (at the counter by the windows) I placed my empty chowder cup on top of it. (Don't worry I lifted the cup up as I left and let it free). They had a beer lager special and you had a choice if you wanted to keep the glass, I think that came out to $12. There's 1 unisex restroom. Parking can be a challenge. You can't park in the lot across the street at the marina unless you have a permit. I was lucky to find something on the street across from the restaurant. The popular Spud Point Crab Co is right next door, which also why parking is a challenge. It was busy for a random Thursday. I could only imagine what it's like on a Saturday. I'd definitely come back if I'm in the area and will try other items on their menu I. read more

We ordered Clam chowder, fish tacos and crab roll. It was AMAZING!! You will not regret it. First of all, the clam chowder was PACKED with clams. The fish tacos (cod) were so good. It was Valentine's Day so we decided to head out to Bodega Bay for some chowder and ocean views. When we realized where it was, it was really tough not to go to our favorite place next door, but wanted to give this place a try since it was highly recommended by a friend. The interior is much larger than expected with many tables in the main dining area and another smaller room of tables with a view of the boats docked across the street. You order at the counter, grab your number, and find a seat inside or out. They have several picnic tables outside. It was a windy day so we decided to sit inside by a window and it was nice and cozy. The tables were all full of happy diners. Our chowder arrived within a few minutes. They have two sizes and I was glad I ordered two larges. Their chowder has small bits of vegetables like carrots and celery and larger pieces of clams. It was delightful! Next came the 3-piece fish & chips. The fish was prepared perfectly, crispy on the outside and moist on the inside. The fries were hot and crispy, also cooked perfectly. The person taking my order was very friendly and outgoing. The whole place has a nice comfy vibe. I was impressed by their expanded menu. They offer crab sandwiches, lobster rolls, shrimp or oyster po boy, pulled pork or tri tip sandwiches and salads. They also serve prawns, calamari, oysters and several types of tacos. Popped in for lunch with family on a Saturday afternoon. As expected, it was busy but we were thankfully able to find parking in the small lot! Casual vibe, there was a line going almost out the door the whole time we were there but we didn't have to wait too long. Our party ordered a number of dishes- fish and chips, shrimp and chips, calamari and chips, fish tacos, and a pulled pork sandwich. Everything was pretty tasty. Based on a glowing review of this place (it's probably posted in the top spot in the reviews), we drove here from Muir Woods to treat my sister who is visiting from out of town. If you are a broke college student, then this will fit the bill. The food is fresh and not offensive. The restaurant is maybe best described as downscale, but not tawdry. There is a single restroom and you may need to wait in a short line to get in. The air inside is well, greasy. That's how most of their dishes are made. The fish 'n chips are just ok. The fries / chips - not great, not awful. The clam chowder - not great / not awful. After we got our food I was embarrassed that I had believed a glowing review instead of just going someplace with a nice dining room, something that felt like a real restaurant instead of a fish taco stand in a building. I apologized profusely for the experience. If you are a local and need a cheap but ok seafood lunch, it's not bad, but not great. It is not worth stopping in if you are travelling and have a budget higher than McDonald's. read more

They have a nice variety of fresh seafood and sandwiches. There's plenty of seats inside,and a few tables outside. The parking lot is small,and the street parking is limited. We ended up getting a shrimp po boy sandwich,cup of clam chowder. We started with the grilled oysters. Not really a big fan of raw oysters. Every year I visit bodega bay I find myself at a different spot for crab sandwiches, but this time I wanted to try somewhere new. Together, my boyfriend and I shared a crab sandwich, rockfish tacos (with no cheese), and killpatrick barbecued oysters. The oysters were the true star of the show! I have driven by here with the intention of eating so many times! It is always very busy, like no parking and standing room only busy, so up until last week I didn't stop. Last week though we drove by once again and were delighted to see open tables and parking!! We had grilled halibut tacos and slaw. It was very good! Service was friendly. It was so good that I wanted to try something else 2 days later on our way back by and I had my husband just drop me off so I could order to go. I stood in that line for 20 minutes or so and wasn't even close to the front yet. So I decided it wasn't meant to be, but I am really glad we got to eat there finally! Best fried oyster sandwiches ever--that first bite is always sublime! Served with pickled carrot "chips" which are The Perfect accompaniment. The crab sandwiches and clam chowder are also excellent. Don't be put off by long lines--they move pretty quickly. There's lots of seating both indoors and out, but you could also eat on a bench across the street at the marina and watch the boats. I had to try the Portuguese soup in honor of my grandmother who made a very similar soup for me as a child and was not disappointed. My wife had the clam chowder and it was as good and any on the bay. It was a week day so not to busy for what is a local fast food place. Cool little tourist spot when you're in bodega Bay. It will be very busy on the weekends so if there's a chance you can get there on the weekday then you are in luck. You might actually find a parking space. BTW, there is a large free parking across the street and up. My wife ate the fish tacos and it was halibut. Very tasty fish and fried lightly so it didn't overpower the meat. I got the clam chowder and honestly, it was one of the best clam chowder I've ever eaten. Very meaty and not thick or too many potatoes. I also had the fish and chips and it was friedto perfection. They have a housemate tartar sauce, which I like as well. Definitely my spot to come back to in bodega Bay.
