Every year I visit bodega bay I find myself at a different spot for crab sandwiches, but this time I wanted to try somewhere new. Together, my boyfriend and I shared a crab sandwich, rockfish tacos (with no cheese), and killpatrick barbecued oysters. The oysters were the true star of the show! There was so much flavor, a balance of spicy, sweet, and salty, and had just the right amount of bacon on it. I have driven by here with the intention of eating so many times! It is always very busy, like no parking and standing room only busy, so up until last week I didn't stop. Last week though we drove by once again and were delighted to see open tables and parking!! We had grilled halibut tacos and slaw. It was very good! Service was friendly. It was so good that I wanted to try something else 2 days later on our way back by and I had my husband just drop me off so I could order to go. I stood in that line for 20 minutes or so and wasn't even close to the front yet. So I decided it wasn't meant to be, but I am really glad we got to eat there finally! This place is located right next to Spud's Point so when visiting Spud's point, we had to come here to more food since they have way more things on their menu. The food was great but the price was a little high. The restaurant was casual and alive, which means very busy. We had to line up to order the food and then they brought it out. They had a few tables inside and outside but because it's so busy, it's hard to find seating. read more

We were in the area and decided to give this place a try. We had the shrimp po'boy - (I recommend it), grilled butter oysters, and fries. Service was phenomenal, loved the person taking our order, he was extra friendly, welcoming and made the experience wonderful. You order at the register and they give you a # placard and they bring you the food. They do not allow outside food at this location both inside and outdoor. They do have outdoor seating here and allow dogs on there. They also have a small parking lot probably 8-10 cars could fit there. Prices were reasonable, food flavorful. read more

Service was friendly, prompt, and so welcoming! The ambiance echoed the feeling evoked by its name. The food was prepared perfectly and every bite was memorable. We enjoyed our lobster roll and clam chowder that we ordered some to go. The prices were a steal considering the portion, quality of food, and outstanding service that they offered. If I wasn't almost 2hrs away, I would probably go there regularly. If you are lucky to be an hour or less away, do me a solid and get yourself something tasty from the Cove. Cool little tourist spot when you're in bodega Bay. It will be very busy on the weekends so if there's a chance you can get there on the weekday then you are in luck. You might actually find a parking space. BTW, there is a large free parking across the street and up. My wife ate the fish tacos and it was halibut. Very tasty fish and fried lightly so it didn't overpower the meat. I got the clam chowder and honestly, it was one of the best clam chowder I've ever eaten. Very meaty and not thick or too many potatoes. I also had the fish and chips and it was friedto perfection. They have a housemate tartar sauce, which I like as well. Definitely my spot to come back to in bodega Bay. Lastly, they have a large dining area inside, but if the weather is right, definitely sit outside as there are around four or five picnic tables. read more

Best fried oyster sandwiches ever--that first bite is always sublime! Served with pickled carrot "chips" which are The Perfect accompaniment. The crab sandwiches and clam chowder are also excellent. Don't be put off by long lines--they move pretty quickly. There's lots of seating both indoors and out, but you could also eat on a bench across the street at the marina and watch the boats. This is what crab sandwich dreams are made of! I know there are a variety of places to get a good crab sandwich in the area but I have to say, the one at Fisherman's Cove is by far my favorite! The dill mayo with it, takes it over the edge. The only thing I would change is a slightly toasted bread instead of warmed but it was still amazing! We also got the fried oysters, which are plentiful! You get so many! And the chips were also incredible. The service was quick and everyone was so nice. I loved that there was indoor seating. It was an amazing decision, and our party was already looking forward to our next round in Bodega Bay just to come back here. Casual dining with ample parking and both inside and outside seating. The restaurant is situated next to a dock, giving great fishing town vibes. Nearly all tables full for the Saturday lunch period. Take caution that there is only one restroom. Ordered the halibut and chips (great flavor and three massive pieces of fish), the fisherman's Stew (loaded with seafood, delicious tomato base), and our table tried all four of the BBQ oysters options. We appreciated that all the flavors had unique flavor profiles (favorites was the chorizo and the rice vinegar/jalapeno) and were served right off the grill at the front door. Amazing friendly staff. Our table was talking to each other about how we forgot to order a crab sandwich. One of the staff overheard us and asked if we wanted it. My friend and I were in Occidental CA. Wanting to go to Bodega Bay 1/2 drive for lunch at the Fisherman's Cove, the place that people rave about. Now I know why LOL. A really cute place with both indoor, patio seating and stools by a counter to look out at the bay. We arrived around 3:30 PM and got super lucking with parking. A car was pulling out as we entered. When you walk in, it's like a country store, that serves food. Menu is on the wall along with a board with specials. You order and pay at the counter. You are given a number that your food get delivered to wherever you are seating. We decided on the Calamari and Chips, Dozen Raw Oysters and a couple of ice cold Lagunitas IPA. I tell you these oysters I had were so fresh, fairly big, creamy and delicious. The calamari, light, crispy and perfectly fried! I had to try the Portuguese soup in honor of my grandmother who made a very similar soup for me as a child and was not disappointed. My wife had the clam chowder and it was as good and any on the bay. It was a week day so not to busy for what is a local fast food place. I went to Bodega Bay for the first time. I was definitely looking forward to eating delicious seafood. Came across Fisherman's Cove on the way back from a hiking trail. For around $80, this meal we had wasn't what I expected or wanted. There was a really long line on a Saturday afternoon. I waited for about 30-35 minutes in line and had to find seating since they were all taken. I would recommended going somewhere else to enjoy better local seafood. read more
