    Grilled Chicken Breast

Every time I come here, the experience is consistently great--the customer service is always on point. Today I tried the grilled chicken breast and it was absolutely delicious. The mac was just as good as always--they never disappoint

I happened to be in the area of this Ono Hawaiian BBQ. They currently are offering a special. $7 Aloha Plate. Served with 2 scoops of rice, mac salad, steamed vegetables or a variation. Choose between either *Hawaiian BBQ Chicken: Grilled boneless and skinless chicken marinated in Hawaiian BBQ Sauce *Chicken Katsu: Crispy breaded chicken fillets served with special Ono Katsu Sauce. I chose the Hawaiian BBQ Chicken which was tender, juicy, smoky. I love that the chain has occasional specials on their food.

Ono is my go to for Hawaiian BBQ. The portion size at this location is amazing. I ordered take out, two Hawaiian BBQ Mix and substituted the mac salad for fresh mixed salad for an additional 25 cents each. (Just trying to be healthier) The chicken was very tender and packed with flavor. Loved the short ribs, a bit sweet but very savory. The beef was okay, usually a hit or miss it, sometimes its very juicy and tender, other times it is a bit dried out. The beef sliced thin, so it is easy to overcook. On the side near the soda machines you can fill up your own teriyaki and katsu sauce. They have small cups and lid for you take out. For me, one teriyaki and one katsu sauce was enough for a plate. The meat is already flavorful so I didn't need to overly sauce it. If it is your first time here, I recommend the Hawaiian BBQ plate that way you get to try a bit of each. I tried the seafood in the past, I thought it was okay.

I have eaten at this location several times but this time I was a little disappointed. Crab Rangoon 5 stars it was nice, warm, and crispy. Chicken 3 stars it was flavorful but a little dry Beef 1 star this was so dry and even burnt Salad 4 stars nice and fresh Rice 3 stars a little too wet

Mini Bowl. 3 chicken thighs, one scoop Mac, 1.5 scoop rice. No veggie. #Boring

Came to ono for the first fast food of the new year (2025) ! What a disappointment!! No wonder it was empty inside at lunch time. L&L's service might not be on point but at least they give you plenty of food in their mini bowls. Everytime I've gone to L&L, it's always been packed and it's because people want the amount of food that is expected. These Hawaiian bbq places have always given plentiful amounts of portions. If they one day decide to put less, people will also stop going there. Unfortunately I won't return to Ono ever again. The portion size isn't great. Taste is always 8/10. Food looks boring and the chicken always tastes like they cooked it in the morning. Chicken takes a little while to cook, and my food always comes out in like 3 minutes when I come to Ono. Just make fresh chicken. Make the customer wait for GOOD/FRESH/QUALITY food.

We got the Hawaii BBQ Mix, Chicken Katsu, Spam Musubi, and a Hawaiian Sun. The kalbi and bbq chicken were fantastic but the bbq beef was a little dry and stringy. A lot of bang for your buck. I don't think our chicken katsu was cooked fully. Yes the outside was golden brown and looked delicious but when hitting the interior of the chicken, the thin parts were cooked great but the thicker parts were raw. Had to throw around 3 pieces away. Still great food and great service but just consistency maybe a bit shaky.

I had a BOGO free plate coupon from a recent Yelp elite event expiring soon so we decided to try the rest of the meats today. We ordered the kalua combo under Island Favorites and chose the katsu chicken to pair with it. We also chose the island fire chicken aloha plate for the free plate. The island fire chicken is pretty spicy but the slight sweetness adds great flavor. The aloha plate comes with rice on the bottom of the meat and a good amount of salad mix (has edamame, sesame seeds, shredded cabbage, onions, and other sliced vegetables slathered with a delicious house dressing sauce). The katsu chicken on the other plate lunch was a bit plain and the breading seemed kind of stale. The kalua pork has a smoky flavor but otherwise not as salted/seasoned as I would have liked. It comes with mostly cabbage on the bottom and some broccoli pieces. When I ordered the Hawaiian BBQ mix (BBQ beef, chicken, and kalbi short ribs) during the Yelp elite event, the meat was so much more flavorful and tender. Would definitely recommend their BBQ and the island fire chicken instead!

I have always been a huge fan of Ono Hawaiian BBQ! For being a fast food restaurant, I'm highly impressed with the quality and flavors. I typically get a chicken or beef plate, and am always impressed with how delicious the food is. Aside from the delicious food, the star of the show for me is the Mac salad. I am a huge fan and typically like to get more of that than rice. This location specifically has friendly and wonderful staff. This was my first time at this location and I had a positive interaction with all employees! In addition, I noticed them frequently cleaning which is a great sign. I also love the festive touch of having Christmas trees on every table! All in all, you will not be disappointed at Ono Hawaiian!

Ask the Community - Ono Hawaiian BBQ

The last three times we've ordered through DoorDash, there haven't been any sauces in the bag. There isn't a place to indicate which sauces you'd like on the app but it's obvious that the chicken katsu needs the katsu sauce, etc. What do we do?

They have the sauces on the side away from the pay counter usually. But yeah Katsu should have come with that sauce i would think in the bag. They have a few sauces and spicy mustard too.

Each one that I had I would order again: the southern fried fish plate with green beans, candied yams, and corn bread. Some in my party were clearly veterans and ordered a bunch of food to go. The sweet potato pie was the star of my show. ON POINT. Smooth texture, spicy with a hint of caramel (maybe even citrus), perhaps on the sweet side for some but I loved it, While you order from a QR code at the table, the service is still good and prompt. (There was one server who was really curt, but there was a whole battery of help which meant my overall impression was favorable). Spacious dining and great atmosphere.

I got a fried chicken plate with a side of mac and cheese and collard greens. My husband got the mango habenero wings and fries. The kids shared brisket and mac and cheese. The chicken was crispy, well seasoned and hot, the brisket soft and smoky, the mac and cheese was possibly the best mac and cheese I've ever had in my life (I'm not a huge meat eater in general so this was my favorite)???? The collard greens were flavorful and a hint of spice. We have little kids so we find ordering delivery easier but I noticed on their website they do Soul Sundays with live music from 1:30-3:30...and I really want to try to make that work one day. All in all very pleased with this lovely lunch we had for Father's Day!

The location that we went to is located next to Maggiano's Little Italy in Santana Row on Olin Ave. There is a free 2 hour parking structure across of the restaurant where my boyfriend and I parked at. We came during their Lunch Specials (until 4pm) and Happy Hour (from 3-5:30pm) which worked perfectly as we wanted something smaller in portion compared to the dinner portions. We started off with drinks. I got their Pig Ol' Bitties Blonde Ale, and my boyfriend got their Friday Beer & Shot special of This Little Piggy Went to [Mark]et with a 16 oz Dirty Little Pig IPA and a shot of Benchmark whiskey. My fault for having him get a whiskey shot on an empty stomach, though HAHA. He did like how smooth the whiskey was at least! We shared a 2-meat BBQ Lunch Combo Plate, and honestly, we should have gotten 3 meats because of how tender and delicious everything was! We got their Tri Tip and Sliced Brisket with their Garlic Mash and server recommended Sweet Potato Tots. Ahhh, everything was so good! Aside from the tender, flavorful meats, the two sides, especially the garlic mash, were sooooo good. We both loved everything! It was definitely a great choice coming during lunch as we were quite full after ordering one of their happy hour shareables of Chips & Queso (kind of pricey even for happy hour in my opinion for chips and cheese). Honestly wished we got their Chili Cheese Fries or their other fries which were the same price than just chips and dip LOL. But it was a good hold over food with us drinking a bit (at least for me). Shoutout to the only server who was working on a late Friday afternoon as she was doing her best to accommodate everyone + trying to clean up the previous tables. It was kind of sad seeing that the other workers didn't help bus the tables in my opinion. Overall, a great place to watch sports and have some good whiskey as this restaurant is known for their whiskey selections! The lunch BBQ exceeded our expectations, and we would definitely come back for another lunch special meal but probably with 3 meats this time!

You cant really find a skewer place with this type of vibe, def a spot i like to take my out of town friends to for a good time I love getting the fried tofu skins, this is my favorite skewer to get. I actually prefer the regular skewers than the mini skewers just because the mini is so small you have to really bite into the metal stick (which can stab your mouth if your not careful, especially if you end up drinking too much) razor clams are bomb here! Yes they add hella chillies in here so you have to pick it out, but its hard to find places with a razor clam dish that is super tasty and flavorful The alcoholic drinks here are super unique and interesting, my method is to go for the cutest branding, and just order it, and suprisingly it ends up working in my favor LOL my favorite part, is the seasoning they use on all the skewers! that classic chinese taste :D

They're all coated with the same seasonings here so it's easy to get tired of so I always order a few of the grilled vermicelli oysters which are so tasty, and I love all the garlic it comes with! Some other good skewers are the chicken skin, pork belly, and corn. Love the drinks here too, most recently noticed they added an alcoholic blind box to the menu and it was so exciting to try 12 different mystery shots. Even though I did not enjoy half of the drinks, this is probably the most fun drinking concept I've seen at a restaurant and I'd absolutely order it again. At many restaurants, that would be a problem. At Henry's, it becomes a reason to test the rest of the grill. We ordered the Porterhouse and the Sirloin, both medium rare. The Porterhouse was solid: balanced seasoning, clean grill flavor, no unnecessary tricks. A lot of restaurants can do a good Porterhouse because the cut already has drama -- bone, fat, tenderness, presentation. But Sirloin is different. Sirloin exposes the kitchen. Especially that strip of fat running along the edge. If the grill work is careless, that fat becomes chewy, greasy, or wasted. Henry's handled it beautifully. The meat stayed true medium rare, while the fat edge was properly rendered, lightly charred, and full of beef aroma. That is real steakhouse skill. Medium rare lean meat plus properly rendered sirloin fat is not automatic. It takes timing, fire control, and experience. The baked potato was simple and correct. The salad was classic old-school steakhouse style. Dark beer still feels like the right companion here. Henry's is not trying to become trendy. It is not chasing presentation. People come here to eat steak, drink beer, and trust the kitchen. Prime Rib is still the ritual. But this visit proved something important: Henry's is not only a Prime Rib place.
