OMG DELICIOUS! I kept seeing Aloha Fresh all over TikTok with their delectable pokenachos among other things and I finally got the opportunity to stop by. I really like how the Japan town area is a very clean with lots of parking in front of Aloha Fresh. The service here is very fast and efficient. As I stood in line the wait went by super fast. Lucky me! Because I've seen videos of the long lines days they sometimes have. lol. If you're buying a lot, you can always pop across the street to Nijiya Market and grab something frozen to help keep the poke cold on the way home. After reading so many reviews about their poke nachos, we had to try them for ourselves -- and they did not disappoint! The location is right on the strip of all the Japantown stores, which makes it a fun stop while walking around. We visited Aloha Fresh in San Jose Japantown after seeing all the hype on TikTok, and when we arrived there was already a long line out the door--about 20 people ahead of us. From start to finish, it took roughly 30 minutes to order and get our food, partly because they ran out of spicy salmon, which slowed things down even more. We came on a Saturday right at opening 11:00 am with only three people in line ahead of us. By the time we ordered, there was a line to do the door. I ordered the poke nachos with spicy salmon. The poke nachos by default come with one scoop of poke and seaweed salad. You can get crab salad or an additional scoop of poke added for an additional fee. They then drizzle sauce on top of everything. I was curious about their other poke options so we also opted for a poke bowl with 2 scoops of poke and 2 sides. It comes with rice (you can also sub it out for greens). We tried the stoyu ahi and the Hawaiian ahi. For the sides we got the crab salad and the mac salad. First up - poke nachos. The wonton chips are crispy and a great vessel. The spicy salmon has good flavor. If you don't like a lot of sauce, you may want to ask them to go light because they do drizzle on a considerable amount. Overall, I liked these poke nachos and would get them again. The poke here is super good and fresh! The sauces for them are great as well. I love that they have the bowls, nachos, and by the pound option. The workers are all super nice and work efficiently. If you're looking for authentic poke that is as close to having it in Hawaii, then you've found the right place!! Aloha Fresh has some of the yummiest poke I have ever tried!!! It's worth the wait if you go - there's normally a line. They PACK the bowl and every bite is delicious and fresh. My only thing is I wish that they allowed more than 2 toppings!!! It would be nice to have more options there but I guess they do serve larger portions than say, Santo Market. All in all would def come back here again. read more

It was a cloudy Tuesday afternoon, when my partner and I decided we wanted poke. There is a fierce debate about where is the best poke in the bay, but I think Aloha Fresh has secured my vote. We got two orders of the poke nachos as well as two additional sides of poke as I really wanted to try some of their various flavors. We got the Smokey Pokey and Spicy Salmon for our nachos and then we tried the Ginger Scallion Ahi as well as the Garlic Mayo Scallops. Everything was delicious and there's nothing I would do differently. The service was also great as the guy helping out gave his recommendations and was super chill. read more

Came here for lunch with some co-workers. We all got the Poke lover bowl. We all ordered different types of fish. I end up going with the ginger scallion. Everyone else got different spicy ones and really enjoyed it. The staff was very friendly, made it really easy to order for the first time. There's no seating so we ended up sitting on the bench across the street near the grocery store. Definitely was very busy for lunchtime, was almost in line out the door after we left. Would definitely recommend to friends and family and looking forward to coming back. read more
