Wandering around the area, I was walking towards Five Guys trying to figure out what to eat for lunch... For whatever reason, I just wasn't feeling it and looked around for other food options. Pulled out my trusty Yelp app and looked around nearby, and then walked a few feet and saw the menus posted on the outside of this place. It looked intriguing.. perhaps a bit of fish instead for lunch. Reviews looked good.. menu looked interesting, and sure.. something battered and fried sounded delicious. The menu was definitely interesting... while I expected most of the seafood offerings, there was a Thai curry thing on the menu too? Thought that was a bit odd.. And then if you're expecting traditional fish and chips, then this isn't the place either. Granted, yes.. I wanted that... but I didn't know where I could go nearby for it.. and wanted to settle on what they had. I've had breaded fish before and even my mom makes it at home on occasion.. Eh, let's just try it out. So yea.. panko fried fish. Crispy as expected.. fish was juicy and cooked well. Flaky and fell apart as it should. The included tartar sauce was good too. Nice bit of tang and sweetness, and what I would assume some spicy element that I could see, but can't really describe it. The chips/fries were these lightly battered and seasoned fries I've seen before but don't recall the name.. Both the fish and the fries retained their crispiness from the short travel from the restaurant to my destination. To be honest ... I was not thrilled with the prices here ... seriously for the amount of food and price you pay for basic or standard meal with no substitute fees or adds was deer in headlights. The flavor was lack luster. I'm all for supporting small businesses which is why I purchased the meal anyways, but the way it tasted, the portion size and price it was all off . Pleasantly surprised by this place and will certainly be back. It's not just fish n chips, it's Hawaiian BBQ too, but nicely executed and with vegetable side options. There's so many tempting fast food restaurants in this plaza that I absolutely love but I've been really trying to stay on a healthier diet. Fish's Wild immediately caught my attention. I realize that there's really not that many affordable specialized seafood restaurants! Glad this place is nearby my workplace since it's absolutely delicious. I got two tacos a la carte - salmon and tilapia at $4.25 each. I was afraid that they would be super small but they were a hefty size. Stopped by here for a quick lunch. What I didn't expect was the mammoth size of the fish & chips that I ordered. It was HUGE! We got a takeout order of a chicken wrap and a mahi mahi wrap. The main complaints are that there's no option of customizing the order by changing ingredients or portion sizes. As a result both of the wraps came with an immense portion of dry rice instead which lacked any flavorful sauce. It's very quiet. That's the first thing that stands out for me about this place. I come here for lunch maybe once a month and it's pretty quiet. The recently added one of those automated order taking systems at the front, so it's even quieter at at times, it almost seems like no one's working there. The food is actually quite good, one of the better counter service Seaford/ Hawaiian restaurants you'll find. The Katsu chicken and pork are my favorites, both are moist and flavorful. The restaurant itself is certainly spacious and provides plenty of seating, especially during the lunch rush. We stopped by for Saturday dinner and found the establishment nearly vacant. For our first try, the hubby decided to get the grilled tilapia plate, with lemon butter sauce, with a side of seasoned fries and steamed vegetables while I got the shrimp burrito. Prices are reasonable and we liked that everything was made fresh to order. The hubby quite liked the grilled tilapia, noting the flakiness of the fish and how buttery it melted on his tongue. The sauce added great depth and the fries were fried to perfection. The steamed vegetables, however, definitely needed some seasoning. As for my shrimp burrito, I loved the texture of the fluffy rice and the creaminess of the house sauce. The shrimp was also grilled well, but I wish the wrap itself was warm. Overall, Fish's Wild made for quite a pleasant dinner. The flavors were mostly on point and the prices were easy on the wallet. Perhaps next time, we will come back to give those curries a try. We purchased our meal here, togo, for the first time. I ordered the two taco combo (one fried fish, one shrimp) and was VERY happy with the sweet mango cream sauce for the tacos and the flavor of the fish and shrimp. The shrimp were a respectable size. The only part of my meal that I didn't enjoy as much was the macaroni salad, which I thought was a little too salty. My husband wouldn't stop raving about his grilled cajun-style barramundi. It was the first time having barramundi and he was pleasantly surprised with how light it tasted and that it was perfectly-cooked. Seriously, he wouldn't shut up about it until I tried a piece. My daughter also enjoyed her grilled salmon plate. She didn't say much, but it definitely looked tasty before she cut into it. The prices were comparable to other seafood places (probably an even better value here, since they don't skimp out on your entrees). We will be back! read more

What a genuine surprise. I didn't have any expectations coming but this place wowed me and just makes delicious food. I ordered the grilled shrimp with Mac salad and grilled zucchini. I choose lemon pepper and they nailed the flavor. The shrimp was really tasty! The flavor from the grill also stands out pleasantly -- definitely accentuated the dish. I also tried the grilled mahi mahi. Flavor was pretty good (got the garlic butter). The sides were fries (which I think they added Cajun seasoning to make it taste even better) and garlic bread. Overall, everything was delicious and it was just such a pleasant meal. I do think the price was a little high. Each grilled set was $15. Even though the shrimp was delicious, I wish they were a bit more generous with the portions. I was still a bit hungry after my meal. read more

This franchise is really good. It is clean, bright and airy. It has a sense of newness. Same center as Panda Express, Premier pizza, Chick Fil A and across the street from Target. It's like half island offerings and half fish offerings. My friend ordered Chicken Katsu with a green salad and garlic bread as sides. (Comes with 2 sides of your choice) My friend said it was the best Katsu ever. It was moist and jouicy and didn't turn rock hard like others before. Green salad was fresh and (sesame/miso) dressing was really good. My friend asked for a second container. Garlic bread was 2 planks of buttered and lightly garlicky flavor. I ordered the grilled salmon with sides of grilled zucchini planks and an awesome island themed macaroni salad. The salad is way better than L&L, Bento box or any Hawaiian bbq place. Creamy and seasoned well. Salmon was grilled to perfection with lovely grill marks. Not dry at all. Equally delish was the fresh zucchini planks. Darn I'm craving it as I type. Fish and chips, however, was not good. A bit over fried, thin and overly salty. Yuck. If I recall fries (chips) were soggy and over Cajun seasoned. Service is friendly. So to order, one walks to register and places order. You are given a number to stand on table and order is brought to your table. They have the modern soda dispenser. To go boxes is next to beverages so no waiting to ask. Condiments and water dispenser with frosted cups are in same area. Their is a couch in front lobby too. Wanted to really like this place as a local go-to spot. It seems like a nice small independent local seafood spot, that features a Hawaiian flair and other Asian options too. The food we had was decent. We got the plate with short rib and chicken as well as the grilled barramundi fish. The meat flavor was not bad but wish there was more char to it. The grilled fish was decent but overall in terms of the cost, I was expecting to be more impressed. Would say the fries were nice though! And they do make everything fresh. So kudos for that!
