Their menu is extremely limited, but AYCE. I got the Fish, Chicken, and Ribs. The fish and the ribs were the standout items. By far the best ribs I've had outside of an actual barbecue restaurant. Unlike a typical Wisconsin boil we did not sit outside for the panoply of sky high flames, instead everything was served buffet style, the fish already cooked and, a plus, deboned. We got the usual,potatoes and boiled onion drenched in butter. No corn on the cob, and disappointingly, no cherry pie at the end. And it's all you can eat! Been coming about 4 years now, although only once or twice a year, Brought up several people in my HOG group, all left with a great impression. Food is phenomenal, staff friendly and engaging. Prices, which we expected to have gone up, are still very reasonable/ It has the feel of an old Wisconsin supper club, almost like you came to Grandmas for a holiday. Our first seafood boil in the Badger state and boy was it tasty and hearty! Come hungry for sure because their menu is all you can eat. They are famous for their cod fish boil but we ordered their ayce (all you can eat) combo of buttery boiled cod, honey bbq chicken and bbq ribs. The meal comes with coleslaw, boiled potatoes, onions and rye bread. The meal is finished off with an apple strudel dessert which we had no room for because we were stuffed! Drinks are purchased a la carte. We visited in February 2023 but I'm sure this place is bustling during the warmer months. Regardless of when you visit, the food and good service will have you visiting year-round. Definitely worth it if you are in the Genoa City/Lake Geneva area. read more

First time visit to this establishment for me. Simple process of prepaying for your meal, and dessert is included. The y have a fully stocked bar and the beer was cold. You could eat outside and watch the boil experts prepare the food. I chose just the fish. Other choices would be fish/chicken, or fish/chicken/ribs. The employees are great to chat with. Menu has COD Chicken and Ribs. Some sides potato, onion, coleslaw. Bread and butter and Cherry Pie for dessert. Not sure if the dessert changes. You have a choice if you want fish only or with chicken or all three. We did all three for $21. It was so good. It this is saying a lot because im not a fish or ribs person. It's the best fish boil I've found and yes, I've been to Door County. No skin, no heads just wonderfully boiled cod and given a bath in butter. Then you get some very tasty Ribs and BBQ chicken. The boiled potatoes and Grilled onions are not to be missed either. Did I mention this is All You Can Eat?!?! Some fantastic rye bread and a slice of apple square top it off. The place is crazy-busy on summer weekends, but an outdoor patio and a quaint upstairs room provide additional seating. True, they do things a bit differently here than we city folks are accustomed to. Don't expect a server to clear away empty plates - get up and do it yourself. And they don't take credit cards (a bank ATM stands incongruously in the waiting area). Drenched in melted butter (optional), the boiled cod really does taste like lobster. "Nearer my cod to thee." We've indulged in many fish boils in Door County, where whitefish (unlike cod, served with skin and bones) is typically used. Fitzgerald's may not be as iconic as, say, the White Gull Inn, but it's pretty darn good and less than 90 minutes from home. read more

Went in at 4 pm when it opened and there was a line already, The price is the draw at 22-24 dollars for An all you can eat experience. Personally i dont care for the process of getting your food but it's not the restaurants fault. Just know This is not an elegant white tablecloth type of restaurant. Father's Day family celebration! We live an hour away and it had been a few years since our last visit. The five of us were so happy to return. Two of us had only fish and the other three added chicken. We all loved everything except for the chicken. Fish was delicious and the potatoes and onions were cooked perfectly. The coleslaw and bread were good. My sister said her thigh was juicy and tasty but my husband and brother-in-law both said their pieces were dry and over-cooked. This was the reason for 4 stars instead of 5. Apple slices were also a nice end to the meal. Please ask diners ahead if they want ice cream - most of us would have passed. Servers and staff were professional and welcoming. We left feeling happy with our choice for this special day and will no doubt return. read more

My first visit to this very recommended fish boil. Service, food and drinks were great. There is indoor and outdoor seating. My only complaint as being someone new to restaurant cash is the only form of payment. Don't worry there is an on-site ATM, but make sure you have enough with you. The full combo dinner fish, chicken and ribs with the sides is $20.00 all the others are $16.00. Most drinks ran about $6.00. My wife and I have been here about 15 times at least and have always promoted this place to friends and family, but this place has deteriorated to the point that it is worth advising. First of all, you have to get all of your drinks directly from the bar and very few places do not have free refills these days, but none of this is new. What HAS changed: They are even more severely understaffed than they have been before. On a Thursday at 5:45 PM, they had no upstairs food service, only downstairs. The person re-filling the serving trays (fish, chicken, ribs, onions, potatoes, coleslaw) is the same person doing the serving. The bartender was distributing the tickets and taking the cash for those arriving, and trying to serve the drink orders. There was one other person shuttling around, but it takes in inexcusable amount of time to get your drink from the bar with one person trying to do everything. On to the food serving: No waitresses at all. The guy behind the serving trays and filling your plates said that they were "out" of onions. Mind you, this is 5:45 PM on a weekday... and they had already admitted they were waiting on a bus of 26 people to arrive. This out of onions contention was soon proven to be bogus, because after being admonished, he left his spot and went in the back and brought out a whole, fresh new tray of onions and potatoes. He was also very slow and was messing up the order once you told him what you wanted or didn't want. We sat upstairs and there was literally zero airflow. It was humid and muggy. Did not help either when I sat down at the table that there was a silverfish crawling across the table, which I hid under a candle on our table, before our family (visiting from out of town) could see it and lose their appetite. The chicken was over-cooked... very dry and chewy. The ribs were good and the fish was good, but rather than being proud to bring out of town family there, we were pretty much embarrassed by the experience. The young people working there were overwhelmed and their stress got in their way of delivering good customer service, as they were irritable by the inability to keep up with everything (due to being understaffed). The wait times are too long anymore... and the customer service is a far cry from what it should be.. and from what it used to be. My sister and brother-in-law would have liked to have gone back to get more food, but the line was so long and the slow service... just was too demoralizing. Rather than being our favorite experience for them to try, this ended up being the worst food experience on their trip. The saddest thing is... this is easily remedied... just that the management needs to ensure proper staffing and there should be at least ONE person tending to tables or at least tending to refilling the server trays. read more

Visited this unique establishment on a Thursday night. The setup is all you can eat based on different meat options. I wanted to try the ribs, so I paid $19 for all you can eat fish, ribs, and chicken. The buffet includes whole red potatoes and onions, home made Cole slaw, and bread. Coffee, tea, and water are also included. Also one piece of apple cake. Don't try to cheat them, they are watching you :) The restaurant is housed in a rehabbed old manor, charming, and vintage decor. There is an indoor dining parlor and lots of outdoor seating. There is also a bar with a wide selection of beers and drinks. The friendly staff man the bar and serve you a full plate of food. They also buss the tables and run around. When you are ready you come up for another plate and they serve you what you want. The money makers are the fish and ribs. The salt boiled cod is boiled fresh over heaping open fires and the ribs are grilled. The fish has a flavor that evokes lobster, I think because of the drawn butter. The flaky, firm texture is very satisfying with some pepper and lemon. It's not too salt either, just right. The ribs have a nice char, easy tenderness and a sweet, mild sauce. Some people might want more seasoning. The chicken legs had a nice smoke to it as well. Their house made slaw is a less creamy version of what people probably are used to.
