This was my first time visiting this restaurant, and unfortunately, it will also be my last. I live locally and was really disappointed by the customer service. I accidentally entered through the side where orders are picked up, and before I had even fully walked in, the cashier asked if I had an order to pick up. I said no and asked where I should order. When I went to the register, the interaction only got worse. I ordered hot dogs and was looking at the menu to see what the options were when the cashier abruptly asked, "What do you want on them?" I said everything. He then asked if I wanted anything else, and I said fries. He asked what size, and the entire ordering process continued with the same rude and impatient tone. It wasn't necessarily what he said--it was the way he spoke to me throughout the interaction. I felt rushed and unwelcome, even though this was my first visit and I was simply trying to understand the menu. The other employee I interacted with was similarly unfriendly. The experience was uncomfortable enough that I seriously considered canceling my order and leaving, but my kids wanted hot dogs, so I stayed. Unfortunately, the poor customer service overshadowed the entire experience. Many years ago we went to one of these in the Central Valley but can't remember why we did not go back but having gone here it must have been the cost. $24 for a cheeseburger, fries and soda; kind of pricey. The fries were really great and lots of them so that's a good value. Service was really good, the place was clean, I really appreciate the peanuts that's fun but as I ate the cheeseburger I realized that if I closed my eyes it tasted like a jack in the box ultimate cheeseburger. Probably would had had that entire meal at Jack's for the prize of just the burger. If I come again it will be just for the fries, I really enjoyed those, needed a little salt but otherwise that's the reason to go here. Much better options for burgers such as in n out. I went to Good Guys this morning to pick up food for my crew. I ordered 10 sandwiches and 7 large fries. When I got back to the office, I realized that order number seven--a bacon cheeseburger--was missing. I really do enjoy the food and the service was friendly, but it's disappointing to drive 7-8 miles, only to find out that an item was left out. At that point, going back isn't an option. A quarter of the bag is usually filled with fries so you definitely get enough fries for the money you spend I would say my favorite items on the menu is the large fries and The little cheeseburger, which is just one patty burger the service at this location is pretty good. It took about 10-15 minutes for the food to be done. Location is clean and they also have peanut there to snack on while you wait for your food. I would recommend trying this place out would give them overall five star rating even when you order of DoorDash usually from this location to my place it takes about 25-30 minutes. I eat at this company all the time but don't often come to Alamo. I came in today and ordered my usual burger, but the experience felt off compared to past visits at other locations. The staff were friendly, which I appreciated, but the quality and setup just didn't seem in order. The burger patties themselves were falling apart--not the toppings or condiments, but the actual meat. It had no cohesion and broke into pieces, which made the burger messy and difficult to manage. I went to get a knife to try to control it better, and that's when I noticed another issue: the utensil station was disorganized. A large pile of forks had been shoved into the knife section, completely covering the knives underneath. At first glance, it looked like there were no knives at all. None of this is the end of the world, but it does point to a lack of attention to detail. The burger didn't taste the same and the disorganization made me feel like things weren't quite running smoothly today. I have not had five guys in about a year and decided to try them again. I ordered online through my phone, so I was able to pick up my order relatively quick. There is no inside dining at the moment and everyone just stood 6 feet apart from one another. All the staff wore masks and had gloves on. I ordered the Little Cheeseburger and Little Cajun Fries and my order came out to be around $11. It was a bit pricey for me, since I just got the junior version of their burger and an order of small fries. I do like that they have a lot of add ins that are free such as grilled mushrooms and grilled onions. The burger itself was pretty good. My bottom bun was a bit soggy, but I managed with it. The fries were a bit too salty for my taste. Could the the season salt, but I had to drink so much water due to the thirst I had. They do pack a ton of fries for you, even in the small size (as shown in picture). Overall, it's a good burger. A bit on the pricey side for me though, but it is something nice to have maybe once in a while. I'll just be sure to have even more water next time I get those fries again, or maybe just go for regular seasoning. read more

How this chain received so many accolades is beyond me. I tried Five Guys for the first time a couple months ago and came away unimpressed. I felt their burgers were sloppily assembled and lacked flavor. But since I believe in giving others second chances (in most cases), I was willing to give Five Guys another shot. Boy, I feel like a fool now. Earlier this evening, my brother and I didn't want to watch the TV coverage of the political equivalent of "Dumb & Dumber" so we decided to go run some errands and grab dinner. After we completed what we had to do, we were somehow in Alamo and right in front of Five Guys. Not wanting to waste more time looking for a restaurant, we walked in with some reluctance. It was about 6:30pm and the place was pretty quiet. There were only a few people eating. I noticed the interior was less than clean. There was a wet spot on the floor next to the ketchup station and I almost slipped on it. Decor was identical to other Five Guys locations. My brother and I each got a cheeseburger (with grilled chopped onion, mushroom, lettuce, and tomato added), regular fries, and a regular drink. The total came out to $30.97. After munching on the complementary peanuts for about 10 minutes, our order was ready. I don't know about you, but a great burger to me is well-assembled which allows every ingredient to be tasted in one bite. But as soon as I picked up my burger, it fell apart! The burger bun had so much moisture in it that it stuck to my fingers. The burger patties were quite greasy and lacked flavor. The Tampa Tribune called it "Heaven on a Bun". Are you kidding me? No wonder you don't exist anymore! The fries were the only saving grace. They were hot and fresh. Overpriced and underwhelming food. Unlike a lot of other commenters, I've had pretty good experiences with them. Doesn't mean that they don't happen, but it isn't as bad as they make it out to be. They've never shied away from giving plenty of fries. The place was always clean and hygienic. Even during COVID times, they did a good job of maintaining the place. And most of all, I think they do a good job with their food. The burgers are good quality, with the grilled veggies great. The prices are excellent too for the amount of food you get. First of all, let me start by addressing some problems I have with other reviews of this Five Guys Burgers And Fries. Many of the reviewers seem to be previously unfamiliar with the Five Guys chain. This location is FAR from typical of standard Five Guys quality or service! Five Guys is generally considered in the same league as In N' Out or Nations. The prices at Five Guys ARE high, but the sizes of their items are also LARGE. While I can easily eat a Double Double at In N' Out, the regular Cheeseburger at Five Guys is really too filling for me, so I normally order the Little Cheeseburger (which ISN'T that little). Also, the fries are always overflowing the cup they serve them in. As far as the peanut issue, seriously? If you have an issue with a place giving away free peanuts, resulting in peanut shells on the floor, what are you doing at a basically fast food restaurant in the first place? Stick to your high end Kobi beef burger restaurant and be happy. (NOTE: This is NOT directed at people with peanut allergies!) HOWEVER... THIS LOCATION has SERIOUS ISSUES! If you want to experience Five Guys, go to the Dublin location, or another location, but I would recommend that you AVOID this location AT ALL COSTS! My housemate texted me tonight (a Wednesday) that she was stopping at this location to pick up dinner. I checked the website just to make sure what I wanted and I NOTE that it indicated an approximate SEVEN MINUTE wait for a pickup order. My housemate placed her order and proceeded to wait. And wait. She texted to me, "All newbies, slow AF". After approximately TWENTY FOUR MINUTES, she went and asked about the status of her order. Apparently, her order had been lost. NO APOLOGY of any kind was offered, she provided her receipt and the order was then prepared off of that. After an additional NINE MINUTES, for a total of THIRTY THREE MINUTES, she finally received her order. When she got home, she found she WAS MISSING one of the two orders of fries she had paid for. Also, my Little Cheeseburger was the LITTLEST CHEESEBURGER I HAVE EVER SEEN, filling approximately HALF of the bun and was also BURNT. I didn't even end up finishing it because it didn't taste very good, despite how abysmally small it was. I WILL be contacting Five Guys Corporation regarding this experience in the hopes that this location will be SHUT DOWN, because it is doing NOTHING BUT HARM to the reputation of Five Guys Burgers And Fries!
