Worse Five Guys fries in the world. Ive eaten Five Guys fries in UK, Europe and USA, and the King Street Five Guys is the worst in the world. For the second time, this week the King Street Five Guys sold me crap fries on Saturday 26 Feb around 6 00. Cold, way to greezy, longest fry was 3/4". Just gross, cold, soggy little remenants. I was already a couple miles away before I first tried to eat a couple, which I immediatly spit out the window and then threw the rest out the window. Makes me naucious now when I think Five Guys, used to make me hungry for great fries. Strongly recomment Five Guy HQ get these workers in Alexandria retrained fast before they loose more formerly good customer. So disappointed with this location. They do not pay attention when preparing orders. I ordered 2 burgers and a large fries, for delivery. It was suppose to be delivered in 30 minutes, it was over an hour. Then when I got the food, one of the burgers were missing and they other was so slopped with mayo it was disgusting and cold, along with the cold fries. I contacted 5 guys spoke to Ruby, the manager, and was told she would refund my money, after I had to explain to her that when you place an order on the restaurant's website then they are responsible for refund, not DoorDash. She said okay and she would refund me my whole meal and she hung up. I called back and asked when I would see the credit for the order and she said 1 week to 2 weeks. Ruby said she printed out the receipt bc she was busy at that moment and would refund the amount when she wasn't. Well it's been over 2 weeks and no refund. Food is expensive and to have food missing and cold and inedible is not right. I thought 5 guys was about quality??? Order a lettuce wrap burger to go. When arrived at home the burger patties looked as though they were left over remnants from another meal; both patties were dried out and missing pieces of the burger. Perhaps someone was hungry? Because of the condition of the burger I threw it out; it was; not edible. Picture of said purchase included (dried out and missing piece hamburger oatties are posted on overall King Street site). Several weeks ago we called this place and the decibel count reached a deafening range making it impossible to place an order. This may be a better location, however, the new operation and management of this establishment has deteriorated significantly! read more

Came here and not sure if they were new but they definitely skimped on the fries which for most people is the only reason they come here. Also wondered why there were so many people back there doing absolutely nothing. The old spot was much better womp womp. read more

what a clusterfuck of a burger joint. It seems like you wait forever. The burgers are very small. A small fry is 3.09 plus tax, come on; 3.09 for 20 cents worth of potato??? The guys cooking the fries can't seem to manage the simple task of filling a basket, dropping it in oil, and removing it from oil very well at all. I waited and waited. They kept running out of fries, and then they gave the fries for my order to a cute girl whose number was three behind me, while my burger sat there; unbelievable. Perhaps if the people working there would spend less time chatting and more time working.... it may well be a management problem; I mean just watch them struggle to put a hamburger together; it is a painfully slow process because they are so unorganized. When robots replace kitchen workers I shall only be too happy to go there again. I mean, come on a robot can surely make a batch of fries and keep them stocked. I should say the restaurant was not at all crowded when I was there, in fact I think there were more people working than eating, no lie. that is why it is probably a management problem. a bottle of sprite that cost 2.00 at 7-11 (expensive) is 2.85 plus tax there... There is a reason their reviews are largely negative...they suck as a burger joint. read more

I ordered delivery from the 5 Guys website, from the King Street VA store. Free delivery for orders over $15. That's for me!! The food never made it to my address (Door Dash). I called the store, explained the situation to which I was told "I cant make the delivery driver come back, come to the store and I will remake your order" If I could have made it to the store, I would have in the first place! Q refund.........4-5 working days they say! 9 days later, no refund. I call the store, same guy I spoke with originally told me that he had received an email from door dash who had issued the refund. I questioned this as why would Door Dash refund me for food that I paid 5 Guys for? but assured him, no refund had been received to my account. He insisted that I call them....so I did. That guy almost laughed when I explained that I had ordered the food from the 5 Guys website. He told me, that Door Dash probably refunded 5 Guys the delivery fee as it was never completed. He redirected me back to 5 Guys as that's who I bought the food from and NOT from a Door Dash account (which makes sense too me). I then call 5 Guys King Street AGAIN, and explain the situation. Same guy, again pretty much sounding like its not his problem. He asks for email and phone details and asks me to give him 24 hours to get this sorted out. 48 HOURS LATER, NO REFUND, NO CONTACT. ITS A $22.72 REFUND!!! It's now been almost 2 weeks since I ordered that food, it appears that I have been liberated of $22.72 by 5 Guys at 725 King St, Alexandria, VA 22314. I like Five Guys and enjoy indulging once in a while. This location has slow service and grilled toppings are super salty. Couldn't figure out what was up with the music -went from "make it stop" punk to bad oldies. Won't bother coming here when I want to indulge. read more

This is probably the worst Five Guys we have been to. I went with my 11yr old son to this Five Guys thinking it would be something nice and filling. The burgers were terrible. Just slabs of insipid meat badly cooked thrown on a bun. They messed up the orders too-we asked for onions and they gave us grilled onions. The burgers were very sloppy and the contents were falling out. Next time we will eat McDonalds instead. Five Guys should close this location down. Management should do a taste test themselves. read more

Extremely negative experience recently at this location. A crew member began to sneeze very loudly, almost comedically, all over the prep station for the sandwiches. (What I mean to say is, they were real sneezes, but he was also "hamming it up," as it were.) There were three or four others working the line and they laughed as he did this repeatedly in view of several customers (including me) waiting for their orders. I obviously lost my appetite, asked for a refund. It was one of the most egregious, dismaying things I have ever seen in a restaurant. I can only describe what I saw as a kind of gleeful hostility to the customer. The former Old Town location had a great crew running it, but whoever owns this new franchise location needs to get some real management in there and get rid of crew members who behave in this way. I had been a regular customer for five years (prior location... they recently moved). These youngsters' apparent disregard for public health standards makes me unlikely to visit the King Street Old Town location again read more
