Burger

Chose to go here over In N Out and regretted it immediately. Came in around 9:15pm and had to wait to order because the kid working was "on his break" and neither of the cooks could take my order I guess? After his break was over, he took my order and when the $32 meal was done he handed it over to me. I mentioned I ordered a strawberry shake to which he said he didn't see it on the ticket. Showed him my receipt and he really replied with "the ice cream isn't cold so it's basically strawberry milk". Mind you these shakes aren't cheap here. At that point just offer me something else maybe? Idk man but getting home to be even more unsatisfied as my melted shake and lousy burger, which was also MADE WRONG, washed down by a small cup of over-priced fries did not hit the spot. Hopefully next time is a better experience. 1.) Have an option to self order at a kiosk I guess since you don't have someone there ready to take orders 2.) Make sure your ice cream is cold? lol

Regular Fries

Went to Five Guys for dinner. Got a regular fry. They now serve them in bags, which was not much bigger than a McDonald's medium fry. But they still charge $7.99. Sad. Swore it was a regular fry.

Hamburger all the way

The service is super friendly n lovely but I must say the burgers are a bit soggy, the bottom bun fell apart. They give you lots of fries on the large though. There's plenty of indoor n outdoor seatings too.

My burger was delicious. First time going to five guys. The cashier was very helpful with us ordering knowing it was our first time. We took our order to go. The restuarant was clean and customer service was friendly. This location is in a busy parking lot. I would definitely come back to this location if I am in the area. The ingredients on my burger was fresh. They have soda machine that has 100+ different drinks. The burgers are big in my opinion. The fries was really good. Not too thick or thin.

Bacon Cheeseburger Keto style!

Five Guys is relatively new to this location in a newly remodeled shopping center. The burgers are pretty good. The Bacon Cheeseburger is my go to favorite. Two beef patties, two slices of cheese, lettuce, tomato, grilled onions, and grilled mushrooms. I am currently on a Keto regiment, so I am ordering the Bacon Cheeseburger without the bun (in a bowl). I didn't have any fries this time around but my son did. He said they were excellent, although the last time I had them they were oily and soft like the were frozen, then thawed, then thrown in the fryer that wasn't hot enough. So they're hit and miss in the potato department. They restaurant is very clean and the restrooms were spotless on this particular visit. I feel the burger is good enough to keep me coming in, but I think next time I will try one of their hot dogs. And although, I can't partake of their Milkshakes while on Keto, they are EXCELLENT! So do try if your eating discipline allows! Cheers!

Soooo...Brooks Burgers in Pismo Beach is apparently now their only venue (the location on Tank Farm…read moreroad in SLO changed a while back to "Petras"). We were sorry to see that location close down and extend our sympathies to Dallas (Owner) at having to close that location down (good help is so hard to find). Regardless, it won't keep us away from Brooks...cause the food is still "bangin". Yesterday's order was to go...we always ate "in" at the SLO location (just a "nicer ambiance") but always "take out" from Pismo (not thrilled with the fact that there is an added "take out fee" for this on your bill). Jaxon was our Order/Cashier associate on this occasion. He was personable in service and knowledgeable with regard to menu offerings. The restaurant wasn't as busy as I expected at 7PM but it took "a bit" to get the order out. Nevertheless..it was "on the money accurate" (exactly what we ordered/wanted) and that in my opinion...is worth waiting for. Our order : 2X Black and Blue Salads (4/5...yummy) and a Crispy Chicken Combo with Tater Tots (5/5...delicious). I had a "Combo Coupon" ($10 Combo instead of regular price), but still the bill was basically $43 dollars. Somewhat of a "value factor" because with a salad each, we were able to share the Crispy Chicken and were completely satisfied with our meal. Dallas (Owner) was already gone for the day, so we missed saying "hi". In this Yelper's opinion...on this "take-out" occasion because the food is still really "bussin", Brooks Burgers in Pismo Beach truly earned this 4 Star review.

He had tried it before, so this was my first time here. As I looked over the menu everything sounded good and pics of the food helped me make my final choice for lunch. The service was excellent, the cashier was friendly and patient with us ordering (since it was my first time here). We decided to sit in the patio area since it was nice day, even though there was a little bit of construction noise next door, it didn't take away from hearing the great music selection. Moments later a server brought out the food, everything smelled and looked delicious. He ordered fish N' chips w/upgraded garlic fries, (we love garlic fries!) some of the best garlic fries we've had, every bite was garlicky & dipped in ranch...mmmmm perfect combo. The fish was tender but crispy bites from the batter. I ordered the Pismo wrap (could be shared), I was not expecting it to be so packed with all the fillings. It was stuffed with sliced tri-tip, curly fries, avocado, pepper jack cheese, and bbq sauce. Every bite was so satisfying, flavorful and had a little bit of everything. Some saltiness from the fries to sweetness from the bbq sauce, well balanced (I did add some cholula sauce because I enjoy some spiciness). Definitely added as a stop when doing a day trip to Pismo. I'll be recommending friends/family to make a stop at Hoagies if they're ever in the area and they're looking for a chomp because a bite isn't enough. So after all the shopping/walking, pick up some Hoagies and head to the beach (which is walking distance), because great food deserves a great view!

I decided to give Hoagie's a try -- I usually go elsewhere for my cod wrap when in the area. I…read morerequested the cabbage and tomato instead of curly French fries inside the wrap -- and fries came on the side, anyway. The counterperson taking my order kept saying lettuce, and I repeated a few times, you mean cabbage, since that's what is written on the menu, and they seemed a bit confused.. But it did come with lettuce, not cabbage (?). Hmm. The fish was okay, but not fried to enough of a crisp, so it was not crunchy. It was also a relatively small amount of cod in the the burrito wrap. I say burrito wrap as the tortilla was pretty thick and barely toasted. I did see other patrons sitting at the tables with much toastier-looking wraps, and it looked like the steak wrap came in a wheat tortilla. So is there more than one kind of tortilla? The tartar sauce was middle of the road and there was not enough of it in the wrap for my tastes - I like sauce. But I could not get more for the side, as the line was out the door by the time I discovered I could use more tartar sauce! So while it was fine, and the fish seemed fresh, I was somewhat disappointed, and did not munch this wrap with the zeal that I do the one from the other locale in town where I typically buy the killer cod wrap. The curly fries were good and well salted. Lots of people sitting outside; tables could've been cleaned better. Maybe staff should come out and wipe them down periodically.

The fries are large enough to split so you have room for the milkshakes . It would also be nice to see the ice cream sundae come back for those who don't want the milkshake. We had a person at the register that made us one anyway and charged for something else that was equal in price. (Thank you, you made my wives day for doing that) The only thing I would suggest is try doing something about the flies . When you sit at the front windows to enjoy the view they drive you crazy. One last thing would be to offer straws that are wrapped so they aren't touching the container that everyone touches. Overall I would say if you want a great burger and shake when you are close to AG definitely stop in here.

The restaurant was empty except us. The regular menu is interesting but pricey for a bar and grill. We settled on sharing a plate with two chili cheese dogs and fries. Felt a bit bad for the staff it was apparent they are not used to having such a crowd all at once. I think it was literally just our 2 bball teams that took up the whole restaurant for a late lunch. I think there was only 1 person working front of house and 1 in the back. The food came out quite slow. I guess good and bad in that we knew they were freshly cooking each order, but it ended up taking over an hour for our food. I gotta say though, the food was quite good and large portions. I had the BBQ chicken sandwich with side salad. It's apparently a new item. It was quite good both the chicken and the salad. My kid had the chicken and shrimp basket. Good ol fashioned fried foods. My wife and other kid had the pesto chicken pasta and the shrimp Alfredo pasta. Also quite yum. And too large for either of them were able to finish. So leftovers for dinner! Overall would def recommend. Just don't bring 2 whole basketball teams with you.
