I am someone who orders burgers with nothing but the cheese and meat (and bacon occasionally) so all I end up tasting is the burger itself, so when I say that you can taste the freshness of the patties here, I mean it. (I am a regular at Garlands in GB and still love the pepper/spice flavor their burgers have, but that doesn't negate the fresh taste of 5 Guys.) They are new to our location and honestly still fairly new to this side of the country so it's entirely understandable that they are busy as heck. Walked in and was greeted instantly. This was the first time for us and our faces must have gave it away. The menu was broken down for us as simple as it was. I ordered the double bacon cheese burger and my husband ordered the double cheese. We ordered fries to share as they advised us. The music and vibe was fun and was exactly what we were looking for after a long night. The food came and was in a bag. Once unveiled we were amazed with how delicious this food looked. Worth every penny and I was thankful they advised us to share fries more than enough. We rated the fries best fast food fries- and the burger was top rated as well. We left very happy. read more

Generally speaking, I love Five Guys. The style of French fries, thicker not the thin ones you get at other fast food joints, and the option for Cajun seasoning is fantastic. I will admit this style of fry seems greasier, but they're totally yummy. And even for two people, I've never needed to order larger than a small fry. Now, for this particular Five Guys, when they get your order right, it's well, awesome. I love how you can choose exactly what you want on your burger. It's a bit more expensive than other fast food joints, or on the higher priced side of fast food joint menus, but I think the burger is worth it. Now, the caveat here is that I've had a few instances where they haven't gotten my order right. I think I've ordered online (to take home) from here 2 or 3 times now, and they've gotten the order mixed up every time. Maybe if you just order a single burger it's fine, but I've ordered for my family and it's all mixed up. Not cool. And when we called to complain, the only option they offered was for me to drive the food all the way back and they'd fix it. Yeah... my family is already sitting down to eat and you want me to drive 15 minutes back to you to fix your mistake. Again, not cool. I'd happily submit a photo as proof and then maybe credit me something for next time so I don't have to go out of my way to fix your damn mistake. Yeah, little frustration here. 0 STARS. WORST Customer Service I have ever received. If I could give 0 stars I would. I never leave reviews, yet I went out of my way to get on here and leave one. The worker was beyond rude. My husband and I were the only 2 who had ordered and sitting waiting for food for over 20 minutes. Specified what we did not want on our food, and the worker added extra of each item. My husband politely took his food back, but stood there for at least 3 minutes before anyone asked if he needed help. He kindly showed his receipt and asked for his burger to be remade. When getting his new burger the worker was a complete smart mouth and in a tone said "here, hope this one's right for you." We walked out to our car and the burger was STILL made incorrectly - after having the receipt to go off. Made as sloppy as can be. Would never come back to this place. Highly disappointed in how the workers talked and treated my husband. My husband was so mad the second time, we decided to just leave and get dinner elsewhere. well i ordered my food at 6:19pm and didn't come out until 6:40pm. there was no one else eating food at the time or any food being grilled when i placed my order. i don't know why my food took so long to be place. i will attach a picture of my receipt and maybe the managers can go back and see how long i was in there. on day 6/4/18 between 6:19pm and 6:50. i'm just tired of lousy service and attitude that's been permeating through the fast food industry lately. read more

As a regular I have had some bad orders (wrong order, burger undercooked, but normally we are happy enough. Tonight was an all around awful experience. The fry cook argued with me about my fries being cajun vs. regular. The burger was soaking in grease to the point when I touched it, the bun ripped from soginess, the fries were cold and soggy. However, finding what appears to be a pubic hair, although I will be extremely generous and say it *could* have been a facial hair in the fry cup (and yes I have photos) has me beyond disappointed and quite angry with this location. Worst burger ever! I'd heard the hype so while visiting the coast I decided to stop at the local 5 Guys and try a burger. What a waste of money. The meat patties were overcooked and tasted like cardboard, no flavor at all. The cook evidently had no knowledge of salt and pepper. The burger as a whole was a bit greasy, but even the grease was tasteless. The toppings were OK, but really did nothing to improve the lack of flavor. The menu does not show it, but a Hamburger is really a double burger, same for cheeseburger, baconburger. If you want a single patty, you order the "Little" version. I also did not see any combo meals offered, so burger, drink and fries, etc. are all charged separately. Pricing is a bit on the high side. I had the Baconburger, $8.69 and a 20oz drink, $2.39 - total almost $12.00. If I had orgered fries, I would be pushing $15.00 So, my curiosity has been quelled and I don't have to wonder about having a 5 Guys burger any longer. It won't happen again. I'll stick with In-and Out. (Even McDonalds is a better choice.) read more

Walked in 4 mins before closing (yes, we were THOSE customers ugh) but the staff was still super friendly and welcoming. Not once did they look annoyed for having to stay later. It's not very often a national chain or new restaurant opens in my area, but when it does, it becomes a fairly significant event. Sometimes that new restaurant is even covered by local media! This time, the new restaurant is Five Guys. I have heard about this place all over the Internet, with people ranting great things about the quality of the burgers and fries, the portion sizes, and on top of all that, peanuts are included with your order. I thought to myself, "This sounds like a magical burger place!" Sadly, until this location opened, the nearest places to try the food were all in Los Angeles or the Bay Area. Now it is open closer to me, so I decided to pay a visit. This particular Five Guys is located in an area that has recently undergone some renovations. It is in a completely new building right next to Chipotle. The interior, while small and with limited seating, is well-lit and contains many articles and punchlines from reviews around the world proclaiming how great the food was. Needless to say, their claims are backed up by the quality of their products. On this visit, I ordered a bacon cheeseburger, a hamburger, and large Cajun fries. The burgers had "all" the toppings too. It was a bit crowded due to the fact it was new, but at least I could eat some peanuts while waiting for my order (which, by the way, were quite fresh and tasty). Apparently all the orders here are prepared to-go by default; every order I saw is placed in a brown bag. After claiming my order, I was quite shocked to see how big the portion sizes were! The regular burger size actually had two beef patties in it (and shapely, compared to a typical fast-food burger), and the large fries was enough to be considered a party size in my view (about 3-4 people could share that size). All of them were cooked fresh, and the burgers were tasty and juicy (if not quite messy to eat). For something that is cooked well-done, I find that very impressive. The fries actually had a nice flavor and complemented the burgers too. I have to admit, the hype is real surrounding this burger chain! For those who decide to try this place, keep in mind that the prices are on the "fast casual" side in comparison to other burger joints in the area. I'm guessing the price reflects the portion sizes and peanuts that are included. That said, if you're looking for a tasty burger that's different from the typical American fast-food experience, give Five Guys a chance. Good luck finding a place to park and sit here though; it does get crowded around lunch time! read more

I do not know why this location doesn't have better reviews. I have ordered a few times here and not had an issue with my mini burger or my fries. My only is wish is they served beer as the last mini burger I ordered "with all the toppings in black" could have used a nice brown ale along side it. I actually like everything served in a paper bag--its easy to clean up & more casual than other burger joints. During my last visit, the seating area was nicely filled and no one had issues with their orders that I saw. Lobby is clean too! read more

I wanted to check this place out since I had heard such rave reviews from everyone. Starting with what was good, the fries, hot and fresh, but I really came for the burger. I ordered the Bacon Burger, fries and a drink - fifteen bucks. OK, if its good, I would not mind the price. The problem the burger was so overcooked and dried out, there was no flavor, no juiciness that I would normally like to see, very disappointing. The reality is I am somewhere between 2 and 3 stars however when I take everything into consideration, I cannot get to three stars. There are so many better places to get a burger in the same price range or less. Very unlikely that I would return here. read more

Burgers are tasty but WAY WAY WAY overpriced. Their bacon cheeseburger is $9 which is pretty high for fast food (though it does contain TWICE the amount of meat than is in an In-n-Out Double Double). The fries are AWFUL AWFUL...greasy, limp and over seasoned and REALLY pricey (a small is over $3). I will say the shakes are GREAT though again very pricey and small ($4.50). I went to five guys after Reading about how terrific they were the number one burger joint in San Luis Obispo. But that's where it ends while putting an order in with some confusion and then the sticker shock for what's on the menu along with a long wait, which why there is no drive thru, only to have a bag of greasy fries that seemed under cooked. The BLT was a bun with mayo a leaf of lettuce two slices of tomatoe and some burnt bits of beacon scrapes. All that with a shake for $15. What knocked me out was a bowl of fries dumped in on top of the order already in the bag to go. Very disappointed in the food service preparation and the final result the BLT sucked. Better off going up the street to IN N OUT Burgers at half the price and wait. read more

I've put this at 3 stars because I am not the target demographic for this restaurant. The food and service are 5 star but if you are over 55 then you may have wandered into the wrong place. the atmosphere is supercharged. At 15-35 5-guys is exciting but if you are over 60 it is loud. For the headphone generation they'll never notice the volume and that's okay this is not your grandma's diner and it's not supposed to be. Five Guys is an after school, after game, friday date night hang-out for the young and young-at-heart...not the old and grouchy. So they get 3 stars which is an average of the 5 stars for the kid I once was and the 1 star from the old grouch in me that barks at the kid in me for being to noisy. read more

OK, now I realize that everybody is entitled to their own opinion, but how can anybody give these guys in less than five stars. First off it's five guys burgers and fries which has a standard to be awesome regardless of the location. Secondly I've been to this location several times and every time they are very accommodating, in a great mood, and willing to adjust the order in anyway that it needs to be. Thirdly everything is fresh, and delicious and clean, and large portions. Fourthly this location has done nothing to deserve 3 stars, they produce pure awesomeness every time. Allow me to offer an example; my wife and I just came into this five guys 15 minutes before they close, which is a kind a messed up on our part. Yet they greeted us with a smile and even though they are almost done for the night they made a fresh batch of bacon just to accommodate order.
