I'm sorry that this is the location that gets to boast of my Five Guys thoughts, but it is the last one I visited - the last two times I've tried this burger joint. The stores boast of their accolades - as they should - but I just do not agree. The burger AND fries are bland to me. Nothing special. Nothing I have ever craved. In all honesty, the best item I've consumed from here is the veggie sandwich (with cheese, no lettuce, add pickles and light A1 Sauce). But I won't return for one unless the group votes to eat here, as was the case today. It smelled clean in this particular location. That makes me happy! Definitely not the best burger & fries chain - but certainly not the worst, either. ____________ I suppose that the prices at Five Guys are a bit higher than what most are accustomed to paying for burgers/fries in a fast casual format. One one hand, the extra cost does come into play when considering that all add-ons (minus cheese & bacon) are factored in to the burger's initial fixed cost. That being said, even the largest burger offered here (The Bacon Cheeseburger) was a bit underwhelming in terms of its size. I was pretty starved during our visit, and decided to order one up with some standard toppings - lettuce, pickles, grilled onions & grilled mushrooms. On our cashier's recommendation, I also went with an experimental combo of Ketchup, Mustard, & BBQ Sauce on my burger. You would think that the combination of these sauces would turn out too sharp & busy, but the tastes worked surprisingly well together. Be forewarned, however - this trinity of sauces made for somewhat of a messy meal! - I agree with other Yelpers who have pointed out that the size of the burger patty itself could be improved. The abundance/variety of add-ons is great & all - but at the end of the day, a delicious burger is best characterized by a juicy, beefy burger patty. Much like the burgers at In & Out (which I similarly find to be lacking in the protein department), the burgers grilled up at Five Guys fall a bit short in terms of their patty-to-everything else ratio. For the price paid (almost $9!), the burger wasn't anything larger than what I'd normally receive at a standard drive-thru. Overall, this burger definitely emphasized quality over quantity. ___________ + The fries at Five Guys are much more tasty & memorable than the burgers served here. We ordered up some Cajun Fries, which were boldly seasoned and had just a slightly spicy kick. The portion sizes on the fries here were a major plus. The container of fries is piled so high that the crisp, freshly-made fries spill out of their paper cup container and begin to stack up inside the paper to-go bag. I went to this location on 10/18/2022 ordered at 12:00p (order #9) and there were three employees and no other customers but myself and my co-worker. We ordered two grilled cheese with patties one small fries and two drinks. Shortly after that there were several customers who walked in and ordered. We waited 28mins for our number to be called and another 2mins to actually get our food. Typically I wouldn't mind waiting that long for my order if the food was worth it and the customer service is on point but in this case it definitely WAS NOT. Food wasn't terrible but at the same time nothing going back for. The customer service was garbage, the dude taking orders didn't know how to operate the register and when we asked if we needed to sign the credit card machine pad he said I don't know what does it say... to top it off the Hispanic lady who was yelling out order numbers looked at me as I grabbed bag order #9 and with a sarcastic smirk on her face she said are you number #9? More Bun Than Burger The food is good but I was left wondering why I had so much bun left over with no meat. I thought it was only me but the person with me also had this dilemma. I visited this location just yesterday. I've driven past this restaurant over the years , I can't actually remember when they opened maybe 5-10 years ago. I've been living in this area since 2007. I decided to give it a chance. I walked in and was immediately confronted by I imagine the manager. She informed me that I needed mask to be served. I informed the young lady that los angels had changed their mask mandates and were no longer being informed. I also mentioned to her that I understand that it's the business discrepancy to enforce their own policy. I mentioned to her that there was a glass shield separating us and the she was also wearing a mask. I asked her if I can just order and have a set since everyone sitting wasn't wearing a mask either and the science has been shown that once you sit on a dinning table , you are safe from Covid. She demanded I get a mask because their policy wouldn't change till the following day. This was clearly her way of showing me that she had the ultimate power of whether I ate her burger or not. Her demands had nothing to do with safety or science. This was a clear show of power. I left , had my burger from my usual go to burger joint (in and out ) and I will continue to drive past 5 guys like I always do. Always a bit of the fatalistic rebel, I went to Five Guys after my doc said I'm doing fine and that whatever I'm doing ,"Keep it up". Though he'd probably choke knowing I went here for one of Five Guys' delicious burgers and awesome fries, my tummy told me I did the right thing. The fries were done perfectly and tasted like...well, potatoes, real potatoes. Fresh, too! The burger looked hand-formed and not pried off a frozen core-sample of patties and skidded across a hot oven top. The veggies were cooked like I like 'em, crunchy but not raw, caramelized juicy brown and full of flavor. I for one, am glad they have this shop along "restaurant row" and will be the good patient by doing what it is that keeps me healthy, even if that means grabbing a burger with fries now and then. This location is pretty consistent. I like that Five Guys gives customers the option of having their burger in a bowl, and that's how I order it to cut down on bread. My order is usually a hamburger with extra veggies: lettuce, tomato, pickle, grilled mushrooms. Is it weird that I like that their burgers are wrapped in foil? it reminds me of olden times. The beef always tastes fresh and well-seasoned, and the veggies are always crisp and cold. I love that they offer grilled mushrooms, onions and green peppers and even bacon! Also, their French fries are made from natural-cut real potatoes and while at first I didn't care for them, now I love them! The one suggestion I might have would be the same for many burger chains and that is to consider offering real cheese instead of processed American cheese. I love cheese, but need to stay away from the processed stuff. There's plenty of parking in the shared lot, but traffic can get heavy on Candlewood so avoid taking a left when leaving this parking lot. TIP: Note that the regular hamburger has two patties, and the little hamburger has one. French fry orders are plentiful, so a large should be shared between 2-3 people. read more

Service was great (at first) since the cashier, being that it was my first time, gave me the run down of how to order and what to order. Now that I think about it that fool lied to me. Dude told me the grilled cheese was popular. I will pray that he gets Lou Gehrig's disease and AIDS (the deadly kind not the one Magic Johnson got). While waiting and eating the complimentary shelled peanuts, a caked-up makeup cholo chick in chuck taylors and atrociously pink girlie socks and her grenade friend came in after us and somehow they got their burgers way before we got ours. We recently came here. The hamburgers are HUGE, they have double patties and they are soaked in flavor. I'm pretty surprised at the other Yelp reviews mentioning the hamburger about not tasting good, I almost believe that they might have posted the review on the wrong business but to each its own. I'd been wanting to try Five Guys for a while now, mainly because I've heard that it was considered "better" than In 'N Out, which is practically sacrilege in my book. We finally made it in yesterday, and I'll admit that I have mixed feelings about it. Food was good, but not worth the hype. First impressions mean a lot, and Five Guys didn't impress me when I walked in the door. The music was way too loud, and I'm not someone who says that often. They had on some classic rock Sirius station, which is good and appropriate, but the volume was so high that it was distracting. Not a good sign. Then we looked around at all the signs on the walls, and noticed that nearly all of them were just quotes taken from newspapers in places that were everywhere but here. Sorry, still not impressing me. The menu was awesome though, simple and straightforward but with a ton of options for you to make your burger yours. Reminded me of Jake's in Pasadena, except you sit at the counter and fill out a little piece of paper that the cooks use to make your food. Becka ordered the bacon burger and I got the bacon cheeseburger (both regular size, since we didn't exactly understand what they meant by a "small" burger"), two drinks, and two small orders of fries, one regular and one cajun. The total came to about $25, which isn't unreasonable, just more than we would've liked to pay. Service was prompt, faster than I expected, and the food was good, if unspectacular. To our surprise, the "regular" size burgers came with two patties, plus all of the extras. That's not a bad thing, just very surprising. If we had known about that in advance, Becka probably would have gotten the smaller size! Overall, we liked it, but comparing it to In 'N Out just doesn't work because they're just too dissimilar. A better comparison would be to The Habit, the tiny franchise out of the Santa Barbara area, except that I'd rather go to The Habit. I like that there is a Five Guys close by because I almost considered driving out to try one out since the place has made a name for itself in Southern Cal. I've been here a couple times for a cheeseburger with toppings of my choice (the grilled mushrooms help out big time).
