I really enjoyed Five Guys in Lakewood. It has an efficient crew and my sandwich was delicious. I requested chopped mushroom and they actually chopped them. It was wonderful and I enjoyed the sandwich next time. I will not ask for cheese. I was able to peel it off. The sandwich was lovely. I don't like the shape of mushrooms, but I can eat them chopped. Yeah it's strange but it's good anyway. The fries were hot and I requested lite salt and everything was wonderful. I can hardly wait to go back.

I came here for the first time with my boyfriend and immediately when we walked in there was a really weird vibe with the two workers and an awful smell in the inside of this place. We ordered and as we were they kept laughing and giggling as we were ordering, felt very unprofessional. Everything feels dirty and just not clean whatsoever. This was my first visit so I didn't get the best first impression. As for the food, not the best not the worst, this wouldn't be my first pick of food choice though. Overall wouldn't recommend coming here as I will do the same thing.

Five Guys is mainly known for their hamburgers, but I tried their hot dog for the first time, and I was impressed. I did not realized that the lowly hot dog is entitled to the same free option of toppings as the burger, and I loaded mine with grilled onion, grilled mushroom, ketchup and mustard. I think pickles would go well with the hot dog too. It took less time for the hot dog to be grilled, and it's sliced in half to expose more surface for the grilling. Everything came together nicely.

I decided to give this place a try after hearing some hype. Normally, I stick with a classic In-N-Out because you really can't go wrong there, but I wanted to see what all the buzz was about. I ordered a junior cheeseburger with the works, including mushrooms, and spent $14. While I'll admit the burger had a good flavor, it definitely didn't live up to my expectations--especially at that price point. If the burger were half the price, maybe I'd consider giving it another shot. But at this price, I don't think I'll be back.

The burgers here are made to order, with your choice of toppings. They are also really good burgers. They don't have shakes, which is a drag. But, as I understand it, they don't have freezers either. While the food is good, the lack of shakes is a drag for the pure burger experience. The place has a 50s burger-diner vibe. The free peanuts and peanut-laden floor is part of the deal, and it's cool. The food is cooked to order. The servers are friendly. The food comes up in a reasonable time, depending on how busy they are. I like 5 Guys. But they're a one trick pony, and shakes aren't part of the trick. That means I can't give them 5 stars. But the burgers and fries are really good.

Little Cheeseburger. They forgot to train the new hire that pickles and lettuce goes inside the Burger, not on top.

So I haven't been to five guys before but my fiancé was always raving about how good it was. We decided to order take-out. Highlight of my burger: *Texture: Massively soggy *Flavor: Average. *Presentation: Pickles and Lettuce were literally on top of the Burger, instead of inside. Even untrained employees could get this right. ‍ *Other / Misc: Considering, I only order one item, the review is based on my only experience. But the order was so bad, I wouldn't waste my time with a second chance. I could just go to Burger King if I wanted a soggy burger. At least they get the lettuce and pickle in the right spot.

JENNIFER made our visit so much more happier. We called in our order ahead of time and her voice was so pleasant and genuine! It made my heart happy! Her service is also the bomb and everything came out in a timely manner hot and fresh! I also have to mention that new combo choice is amazing! We used to only come once in awhile as a treat, but with this new combo price, it makes it more affordable for us to come more often. So I def see us coming more often in the future! Thanx for the experience Jennifer!

Okay well the amount you spend is not worth it but to say you are here and did it yes! Burgers are expensive and everything is an add on. You are better off going to your backyard make homemade burgers for what you spend here. Or going to a charbroiled quality fast food burger place like TaMS or Famous Stars or idk somewhere. But the quality of burger I have to admit yes ****(4) Fries are great also **** (4) Customer Service meh -***(3))

Some of the best burgers i had! I like them better than the rest of the chain burger places! They fry the items in peanut oil. The burgers are straight up delicious. The cajon fries are good also! They put alot of seasoning on them but so good! They only have outside seating. About 4 tables with 4 seats! No inside seating due to covid. I don't eat here as often as i want because 5-guys is pretty expansive! lol. A double burger and small fries almost $20 bucks. That is the only downfall as i would eat here more if it wasn't for the pricy burgers. The online ordering and pickup works great. No problem getting my food and out the store. Parking is no issue here as they share the spot with other vendors in the parking lot across from the lakewood mall on the target side!

Little burger. Little fries. Little drink. Big price $19

Expensive mediocrity. Little cheeseburger, little fries, little coke - big bill: $19. Yep $19. I figured this would be good and well-worth the cost. Nope. The burger patty felt loose - like someone just tossed some ground beef together but didn't press it. A good burger usually has a bit of a chew to them. Meat was overly greasy, but I was told that's kinda their thing. Tomatoes were mushy. Lettuce was fine. The bun tasted like the same low-quality airy buns from the supermarket. So yeah it's mediocre, at best. You're better off at the burger king a block away. The fries were the stars. These were thick fries that were well seasoned and quite tasty. Crispy on the outside yet fluffy inside with generous portions. Great job!

Disgusting toppings I was given
Jen B.

Ordered delivery from here Friday night, absolute garbage. $13 for a "burger in a box", which we already know is WAY overpriced. However, when i order 3 condiments as toppings, and your inept employees only put one in the bag, and then check the photos for the DISGUSTING state of the tomato and lettuce your employees had the gall to put on, it's actually insulting. Yellowing tomatoes, and pale, wilted, wet lettuce. I'll include pics of my OWN veggies I had at home that I had to use, because not only did yours look unappetizing, they looked as if they would make me ill if I ate them. So I paid $13 for a less than mediocre patty because the people that work here don't care that they churn out trash, and based on the reviews the OWNER doesn't care to fix the state of the business either...

The Korean corn dogs are the real star here. Crispy on the outside with that signature crunchy coating, and soft, cheesy goodness on the inside--every bite is insanely satisfying. Whether you go for the classic sausage, the half mozzarella combo, or one of the loaded options rolled in toppings like potatoes or crunchy crumbs, you really can't go wrong. The texture alone is next level. What makes these Korean-style hotdogs stand out is the variety and creativity. They're not just your average corn dogs--they're coated in panko or unique toppings and often filled with gooey cheese, which gives them that iconic stretch and flavor people love . The sauces take everything up another notch. Sweet, spicy, tangy--mix and match to your taste and you've got a flavor combo that hits every time. Hot Dog on a Stick instantly caught my eye after all these years. The classic made-to-order corndogs and the hand-stomped lemonade are hard to resist. I ordered the 2-for-$7.99 corndog deal and a cherry lemonade. I picked one beef and one original turkey corndog. The first bite brought back memories. The cornmeal coating was fried perfectly and hot with a slight crisp. My favorite was the beef corndog, but the turkey is enjoyable as well. The lemonade has a variety to choose from. The cherry lemonade was refreshing and sweet. I noticed the seasonal, limited-time flavor was Dragonfruit, which I hope to try soon. The staff was kind and provided quick service. Order my baby grilled change chicken bowl. Portion was waaay too big for her so we put half aside to take home . The other half she devoured all the chicken and left the veggies and rice lol For my fiancé we ordered: buffalo chicken nuggets. We loved this! Nuggets were crispy and came out piping hot. Chicken shawarma salad, this was ok . I was expecting this check to have a different flavor. For me, the taste of the flavor on the chicken didn't really compliment the salad, and the dressing very well. It wasn't bad it just was not to my liking and probably would not order this salad again :/ Fiancé ordered the bbq bacon ranch bacon burger. He ordered the pattie medium and came out perfectly cooked. Service was great, our server was super friendly and attentive. I forgot that one of the reasons we don't frequent here is because of the strict rules for dogs on the patio. No dogs on your lap, which my dog was not having. She always sits on our lap at every restaurant we go to with the patio. So I ended up having to put her in my purse, and the purse was on my lap. Aside from this our visit was lovely otherwise.

I'm here for the deal. That being said, quality control is definitely on a lunch break sometimes. The silverware is a gamble. Will it be clean? Will there be dried food chunks? It's like a tiny surprise every visit. I've also had shots with mystery floaties, sometimes what looks like pepper, sometimes Tajín hanging out somewhere on the glass or floating in the drink. Do I still drink it..? unfortunately, yes. Should I have to? Probably not. I'd at least like the illusion that everything got a thorough wash before making its way to my table. My biggest pet peeve, though, is the little tubs the hummus comes in. They're almost always chipped, and underneath the white coating it looks... rusty? I don't know if it actually is, but it definitely doesn't inspire confidence. At some point those should probably retire with dignity instead of continuing to serve hummus. The last few times I've sat in the bar seating area, there have also been bar gnats flying around. They're basically unpaid restaurant employees at this point, but I'd rather not spend my meal swatting them away. The food itself is... fine. The chicken bites are inconsistent. Sometimes they're huge pieces, sometimes they're tiny little nuggets, but somehow it all evens out. One visit, our bread came out looking like it had lost a fight with a volcano. I asked about it, and they said that's how it's made. Thankfully, our server offered to bring out another order of bread, and the replacement was much better actually charred instead of cremated (see the picture). Huge credit to the server for handling it well and trying to make things right. If the first batch was actually considered acceptable, though... Idk about all of that. Overall: Food: 3.5/5 Ambiance: 3.5/5 Happy hour pricing: 4.5/5 (the real MVP) Service: Usually really good. I've only had one server who dropped the ball, but it wasn't enough for me to care. At the end of the day, I'm not coming here expecting a five star dining experience. I'm coming because my wallet and Lazy Dog happy hour are in a committed relationship. As long as the prices stay where they are, you'll probably keep seeing me here.

It was simple back then because they did not served sushi or any tempura stuff. It was strictly teriyaki chicken or beef on the grill with steamed rice and a little vegetables added on to make it sound like a healthy choice. I think she sold the business more than 10 years ago. I don't speculate what happened. After all, she was much older when I was a tiny lad. Anyways, things change dramatically as new ownerships took over. I don't know how many times it changed hand, but I could tell how many times they had changed their menu and selections. As the first reviewer pointed out in her review, they have added a few sushi rolls and a few tempura items on the menu list. They also got bold by adding certain types of Japanese noodle bowl and cutlet items along with shrimp items. The teriyaki chicken and beef are still there after all these years. My rules of thumb has always been that if you are offering too many choices, make sure you are good at all of them or you're just throwing too many things out there. My impressions of coming here over the years and many times in the past year had always garnered the thoughts of inconsistency. It would not let me complete my order so that all I have to do is pick it up, so I was forced to go in and fall in the long line that I anticipated. When I got to the register I inquired if the cinnamon sugar was eligible he said no, only the original. I was ok with that. I asked if I can get one with no salt because I have to cut back on my sodium intake. The guy said, no it's only good on the salted one because that's all we have. He was definitely not accommodating nor friendly about it. It was like it's free, get what you get.
