What can I say about 5- Guys in Lakewood it used to be my favorite place to have lunch. Again I said used to be. With new management it has gone down hill fast. In my opinion a bit too expensive best bet is stick to Inn N Out or The Habit. I've admittedly been kind of ambivalent about Five Guys since I first tried it by my old place in Orange County. It's not a life changing hamburger, but it's not terrible either. The fries were the highlight. They were hot, fresh, tasty, and plentiful. The price was too high in my opinion. Today was my first time at this location and my experience was great. Danny the cashier was so friendly and had a smile on his face the whole time. Which is appreciated. My order took a really long time because I was told my ticket didn't print for whatever reason. I admit I got frustrated and I let it show. But, AMBER! Oh my goodness. My husband loves this place. I personally think it's a little over priced, but I had such a great experience that I don't mind coming here for special treats. The staff was pleasant and helpful. Nicolas and Elizabeth really stood out for us. They were both kind and patient. My husband and I go here often. Service has always been great and the food has yet to let us down. I enjoy this place as it is one of the last few burger places that are considered fast food but doesn't have that mass-produced taste like the bigger name chains do. The proportions are pretty LARGE for me since I've downgraded from their regular burgers to a little burger. I recently discovered their grilled cheese and I really love it!
