This was my first visit and I was impressed. I love how the burger comes with a bun, meat (and cheese if you're getting a cheeseburger) and you tell them what else you want on it. I find that much easier than saying what I don't want (as I'm pretty picky when it comes to burgers). The servers were friendly and the food was fast. I love Five Guys. I've eaten at both locations and I feel like for the $ you cannot get a better burger in this town. No meal combo options so if you buy a cheeseburger fries and drink, expect about a $10 price point. My friend works at this location and I was excited to try it after he told me that nothing they serve is ever frozen. They don't even HAVE freezers in this store. Fresh meat delivered every 3 days. They cut and season their own cajun fries and drop them to cook per order. Cannot speak a single ill word of this place. Call in orders are welcome. read more

I love a good burger and while visiting Lubbock yesterday I had to go try five guys. I got the double meat double cheese with grilled onions and jalapenos and an order of fries. The place was clean and well lit and the staff was friendly. The fries were great, hot and just right on the crispy side. They were obviously fresh potatoes and hand cut, the kind I like the best. The burger was good made from fresh beef and cooked just right, but it lacked a little seasoning. I had to do a salt-and-pepper job on it myself. It was a little bit messy and I wish that I had a fork and knife to finish it off I had to do a lot of finger licking before I was through. I would definitely eat there again and I think it deserves more than four stars, but I cannot give it five. read more

Come to find out the sewer smell came from rainwater backing up the city sewer system, the entire shopping center stinks when this occurs. Not sure who's problem this is. So now, we just go to a different Five Guys when it rains. read more

This chain might as well forget the online ordering option because it is ignored anyway. The burgers are mediocre and the fries are well known for being terrible. One would assume they would focus on customer service when their food is sub par in a city with many burger options. Online order was placed with a projected pick up time. I arrived 5 minutes after the pickup time at which time they trumpeted my name around the kitchen as to say "we should start cooking his order now". The problem is, they didn't. I politely moved to the side and waited. I watched as 5 orders were filled. Then I continued to watch as the three groups that walked in behind me walked to the counter and received their order. At this point I went back to the counter and asked if they had lost my order. They had. My prepaid order, they had not begun to cook, was forgotten after their little choir session when I first walked to the counter. This was 25 minutes after my arrival at the restaurant. When my order was finally handed to me, by the person who was clearly the manager, there was no apology. This should be an embarrassment to your organization. read more

Awesome burgers and even better fries. Ordered a single patty burger with all toppings and added bacon. Got a small order of seasoned fries as well. Couldnt even come close to finishing all of the fries, as there were tons of them in the bottom of the bag as well as the cup they put them in. Nothing to complain about here. read more

Normally the service and quality of food at this five guys is great but the last few times I've been the service and quality both were sub par. During my most recent visit the cashier got my order wrong twice and I could tell she was new so I wasn't upset and remained patient but she had no interest in correcting my order. Not only was she not concerned with the quality of her service she couldn't comprehend what I wanted and it took two employees to fix a minor issue in my order. The burgers here are the best fast food burgers you can find. They are always made to order, and you have a huge array of toppings to choose from. Some folks think the burgers are overpriced, but given the quality and the sheer quantity of toppings you can get for the price, the burgers are a great value. The buns stick to the roof of the mouth, burgers were not hot, and the Fries are exhausting at best , just trying to find long ones while discarding the stubs. Not worth the effort, or the time. Better elsewhere, that's for sure. This was the 3rd try - never again. read more

My family and I were dining at the Lubbock location at Milwaukee Ave and the Marsha Sharp Freeway. A security gueard came in and, unknown to us, his pepper spray went off accidentally. A cloud of the pepper spray spread throughout the restaurant and all the diners ran out, leaving their food unfinished. I am not upset about what happened or the quality of the food. What we are upset about and humiliated by was the reaction of the staff and manager. As we were standing outside the restaurant trying to figure out why were were all gasping with irritated throats, the staff stood inside laughing at us. When we went back in to discuss it with the manager, she reacted as though were were all over reacting. DONT GO TO THIS LOCATION in Lubbock. Thankfully we have another one to pick from. read more
