    TWENTY-SEVEN bucks at FIVE Guys!
    Tom U.

There are better places for a good burger. This one was excessively fatty and sloppy to eat. The fries were all way overcooked and tasted like expired fryolator oil. I was really looking forward to a good burger; did not happen this time, and i shan't return. ~T

I've had five guys many times but don't come to this one... well hardly ever. The burger here fell quite flat for me sadly. I splurged on a bacon burger but there was not much bacon and the bun was quite soggy by the time I got it. Not sure if it steamed in the bag but I got it right after they called our number... the toppings were the same so the location is the only difference I can think of! Free peanuts is a bonus at any Five Guys and I was sad they don't have soda water here! Pros: People are nice and the space is huuuuuuuuge! If you're coming with a big group there's a TON of space!

Visit: 3/19/21 I don't know why I don't come to Five Guys more often - it's actually my preferred hamburger joints! Allen and I came here after an evening of playing tennis nearby. We ordered the classics/our usuals: 1) Double patties with bacon + everything 2) Large fries -1 The one downside of Five Guys is that their buns are too soggy...I think it's because they wrap the burger in aluminum. How can a girl get a not-soggy burger bun?! +1 Fries always overflowing in the bag...the best ones are at the bottom, right?! Overall, not a meal I can have often since I need to savor it. Price is pretty reasonable for the amount of food you get? PS: no peanuts during COVID :(

Before I begin, I just have to say that I worked at a Five Guys back home YEARS ago (before they released the milkshakes), so all Five Guys hold a special place in my heart. There's something about hearing/yelling out "2 patties," smelling like peanut oil after a closing shift, and listening to classic rock that makes me feel at home. Other than the shrinkflation with the little fries, I was very satisfied with the food. Everything looked like your typical Five Guys, with all the prep and cook stations. The dining room itself is small, but hey I'll take the super fancy soda fountain station!

    Drink selection

I love five guys fries. I think their cooking method, double fried in peanut oil, is the good standard for fries. I enjoy the soda selection and the burgers are surprisingly juicy for something cooked well-done, and the customization is off the charts, though you do pay for all that goodness. I wanted a snack and had some time to kill so I figured I'd get a drink and fries at this Five guys which happened to be close to where I was. This isn't my normal Five guys. I wasn't that hungry, so I skipped the burger today. This particular restaurant, maybe I ran into a bad day. I ordered fries well-done as I always do. She repeated my order, but I didn't look at the receipt where *special instructions* didn't show up. The fries were not well done, and a bit floppy. Good news, when I pointed this out to them, they made me up another batch. Most of the drinks aren't available (see pics), and these are some heavy hitters: Diet Coke and Coke Zero. Coke only available on one machine. They did have a guy changing the cartridges, but he said they were out of them. Only one machine was dispensing ice. They don't have the peanuts out (most other five guys in the area do have the peanuts out), but when I asked for some, the lady behind the counter was able to get some, so, if you want peanuts, just check. That said they peanuts seemed stale. Maybe because they don't put them out.

Every time I come to Five Guys (five muchachos is what I call them) I'm greeted with friendly people. After ordering and as I'm watching them make the food, I see they are using all the necessary protectives per the covid rules. Must be uncomfortable to wear a mask all day in the hot areas of the kitchen. I don't even like wearing mine for the 5 minutes I shop at Sprouts. So imagine 8 hours in a kitchen! That takes skills. They always get my order right and share extra fries. I'm thankful Five Guys is here so I can satisfy my burger cravings whenever they are here. Thank you!

Good burgers & hot dogs. Good service. The prices have been going up & as a result seems like they are not as busy as they used to be.

(Underrated luxury.) Now, the hotel itself? Visually... a moment. It looked like someone invested serious money into it, but the design felt a little space-meets-startup-meets-what's-happening-here. Some elements felt elevated, others felt a bit makeshift. I genuinely couldn't tell what the theme was -- futuristic? celestial? boutique-on-a-budget? I'm still processing. The front desk team was clearly well-trained and knowledgeable -- they had every answer, every stat, every rate breakdown ready. But the warmth? Missing. I was hoping for a little storytelling since I'd never heard of the hotel before, and instead got a very matter-of-fact "we've been here five years" energy. Efficient, yes. Inviting, not quite. But let's talk about why you're really here: the coffee shop. Completely different vibe. Two people working, both genuinely happy, welcoming, and quick. We ordered a latte and a matcha to go -- total was about $22, which made me blink for a second -- but then I tasted the matcha. Oh. This wasn't the overly sweet, dusty-green situation you sometimes get. It tasted clean. Real. High-quality. The kind of matcha that feels intentional. I love Firehouse in Marin, but this? This was closer to serious coffee roaster-level quality. Smooth, organic-tasting, beautifully balanced. You could tell they care about what they're serving. Branding was strong, the space was cute, and I could absolutely see myself sitting there with my laptop pretending I'm writing something important. We grabbed ours to go, but it had that easy, airy, "stay awhile" energy. Would I book the hotel? Jury's still out. They don't have an in-house spa and mentioned bringing in third-party services for certain amenities, which made it feel a little less full-service than I expected. Would I go back for the coffee shop? Without hesitation. Delicious drinks, easy parking, quick service, and a vibe that actually makes you want to come back. Sometimes the side character steals the show -- and in this case, it's 100% the matcha.

Because, once again, I was distracted by the quality of the food, and there would be no way for me to do anything else, but to eat! Today, I was in the mood for something more than a salad (much as I wanted to preset what I had the first time coming here, I made a concerted effort to order something else...), thus I chose the Forager Flatbread. It took less time to make this time (roughly about five minutes after ordering), and when it came out, I marveled at how it looked like a work of art! Just beautiful! Each piece of herbed formage blanc flatbread had a nice, crunchy bottom (but not blackened) and a slightly tanginess, with a a good amount of "hen-of-the-wood" mushrooms, sweet roasted garlic and a bed of arugula. My, oh, my! My first bite was a multi-level extravaganza! The crunch of the bread, followed by the aroma of the herbs and arugula, then the saltiness of the cheese, the sweetness of the roasted garlic, the earthiness of the mushrooms - all came together as just a wonderful work of culinary art! This being my first time eating today, my saliva glands just fired off at first bite, causing a bit of intense pain from too much saliva shooting out. But, seriously, this was a very delicious entree, that I enjoyed from start to finish! Bravo for this second joyous experience!
