Fantastic! Wonderful service and great food! Have never been disappointed when eating at any five guys, but the service here was probably the best yet. My flight back from Nashville was cancelled due to the blizzard and it was already about 8pm. I wanted some decent food before I hit the highway for an only-stop-for-gas 12 hour drive in fair weather and who knows how long as I was heading towards the teeth of the storm. I tried 2 BBQ joints--both closed. I drove down West End Av. Every crappy fast food I don't eat seemed to be representing--KFC, McD's, BK, Wendy's, Jack In The Box, Taco Bell, Checkers. One hideous logo after another representing everything wrong with America. Ugh--I resigned myself to grabbing a bag of jerky and some nuts at a rest stop. First class burgers, and unbelievable fries, although the hot dogs leave something to be desired. Like above, the place is so clean, you could eat off the bathroom floors and not worry about any sanitary issues. I suppose some people would say others but this place puts Fat Mo's, a Nashville staple, to shame. The burgers are first rate, really really good. I've had burgers in several places and there is truly nothing like them. And their fries are cut onsite, and fried the same day. The portion of fries is amazing. At first you think the regular fries are going to be only a styrofoam cup's worth, but when you get your bag, it is the bottom is covered with fries, and that's not even counting the cup of fries you already saw. I don't normally review chain restaurants, but I wanted to give my two cents on this one! First of all, I am mostly vegetarian, but sometimes I get these intense cravings for steak or burgers and say "screw it" to eating healthy. This past Sunday was one of those times and I decided to sate my desire for juicy meat at Five Guys since I'd heard such glowing reviews about it. Since I rarely eat meat, I suppose I don't have much to compare to Five Guys burgers, but I was let down. Don't get me wrong... it was good and I felt satisfied, but I expected it to be mind-blowing and it definitely wasn't. Just a regular ol' cheeseburger that was only a few rungs above a McDonald's burger. The fries were pretty darn good, although the regular size order was massive and my partner and I weren't able to finish it between the two of us! I will probably be back, however, because it's pretty cheap and still better than something from a fast food joint. read more

Five Guys has good burgers. Selection is quite sparse and simple: there is the default burger, a cheese burger, a small burger, and some grilled cheese sandwiches and other things that no one ever orders here, because their specialty is burgers. The default burgers come with two beef patties and tomatoes, lettuce for below $6. Other toppings are possible and free, including my favorite combination, mushrooms, bell peppers, jalapenos and hot sauce. The burgers are fried in oil made from peanuts, which fills boxes all around the store and are free snacks while waiting for your meal. The burgers come freshly made, piping hot in aluminum foil. They are greasy as heck. Consume quickly, or the bun will soon get soggy. The fries are also fried in peanut oil and are freshly made, crisp and delicious. The Cajun have a great additional spice kick, but at $3.50 are one of the most expensive order of fries I have ever seen. Together, a meal costs around $10. It is a nice place to visit on that rare occasion where you say, "oh bugger to my arteries", and need to consume something to knock a few months off your life expectancy. read more

Drawbacks include shared parking with the nearby businesses, but there is a lot under the building which has a good chance of having at least one spot open for you. Otherwise, you might have a difficult time finding a spot on the street, or having to pay to park. Overall, they deliver to expectation on the burgers and fries. read more

This was my first time at a Five Guys. I was super surprised how tasty it was!! I was actually skeptical it would be any good since I came in 45 minutes before closing. Sometimes fast food-type joints don't serve hot, quality food that close to closing time. Anyway- I was super hungry, so I stopped in. Not only were the fries fresh and hot, the burger was great too! So if you come from the West Coast, you probably have heard of In-n-Out. They are basically the most amazing hamburgers. We heard that this place was pretty close to having the best burgers out there so we checked it out. Order at the counter, pretty simple menu with options of a Small Burger or Cheeseburger or a Larger version. Fries and fountain drink. I have gone a few times and get the small cheeseburger. It's plenty of food for me and can get very messy so get lots of napkins. They serve pretty good fries and they are not shy on giving you extra fries. All in all, the food is great. We will be going back there for when we are craving a burger! read more

I've already trashed the other Green Hills location but this one I love. I've never had a bad experience with the food here. The only bad experience I've had is with the parking garage. It seems to be under control now, but when they first opened I got stuck down there for 45 minutes. With having a gated garage open onto a one-way street that immediately hits a stop light the line could get pretty backed up. This caused me, and countless others, to sit, with our vehicles running, in line for that stretch of time. If you come and the gate is down, signallying that you'll have to pay to park - remember that Five Guys does validate. Back to the food though: they've always gotten my order right at this location and their fries are always hot out of the fryer. The perfect hangover food. Every time I've been to this location it has been a pleasant and delicious experience. In fact, now that I think about it, the location in Atlanta and the one in Cool Springs were also populated with super-friendly employees. I don't know if it's because I'm a chick or because I'm obviously pregnant or because they're just really nice. I love that the burgers are made to order. They're always all misshapen and you can tell that they were hand-pattied. The ingredients taste nice and fresh - if you get a burger with mayo and tomato, for example, the beef is hot and the condiments are fresh and cold and crisp. That's one thing that I definitely miss when I have exactly two minutes to eat and am forced into FastFoodLand for a burger - they always taste like they were made an hour or two ago. Taking ingredients away to ensure a fresh patty doesn't ever seem to do the trick either! Five Guys tastes like a delicious burger that your husband or friend (or anyone but you) just cooked on the grill outside and served up just the way you like it. Because you know food made by someone else is always better than something you had to do yourself. The only thing I really don't like about Five Guys so far is the excess. I know that we Americans are all about MORE MORE MORE and FAT FAT FAT, but seriously, no one needs a minimum of two patties on a burger. And when you order fries, they're like $3 and they fill the freaking bag to the brim with them - jumping and leaping joyously out of their little cardboard container. Seriously, could I pay half the amount and get half the fries (or less!)?? I crave Five Guys every couple of months (more during pregnancy when I'm jonesin' for red meat like a FIEND!), and when I go I always ask them to please not give me two million french fries. Because honestly, I will eat. them. all. And then I will complain all day about feeling "fat" and "ugly" like a typical woman and no one wants that. Overall, I dig Five Guys. My friend and I were driving around Nashville when we passed by Five Guys. She was so excited and said we have to go there for dinner. Her family ate at a Five Guys in FL, and she said it was really good. She totally hyped it up for me and I was really looking forward to dinner. We came in just right before a line had started for placing orders. The restaurant was very clean, and there's a lot of room inside. I ordered my small cheeseburger with onions. I thought it was cool that they listed where their potatoes for french fries came from that day. My cheeseburger was fine. I've definitely had waay better burgers. Cali= In-n-Out & NY= Shake Shack. I was disappointed. Seeing all the press that they have had over the years, I thought this burger would be just as good as In-n-Out and Shake Shack- but it was a dud. They definitely do give you a lot of french fries, but I wasn't in a french fry eating mood that night so no extra points there. There's also a self serving peanut station. You can grab some peanuts while you wait for your burger to be cooked. Please be courteous and don't make a mess on the floor/table because someone does have to pick it up. read more

We came in here during a recent business trip to Nashville and while the food was excellent, the service was shit. I'll start with the good stuff first...the food. The hamburgers in Five Guys are some of the best that I have ever had and well worth the price. You pay a little more but you get A LOT of food. We got a very generous amount of fries with our order and all of the peanuts that we could eat while we were waiting on the food. Now for the bad...I had heard that the customer service at Five Guys was always really great so we must have caught these guys on a bad night. One guy in particular stood out.....This guy named "Zachary" who acted like he was doing a favor by taking my order and spoke like he had a mouthful of marbles. I kept having to ask him to repeat himself because I couldn't understand what he was saying. He was real surly and we weren't the only ones who noticed. When we were eating he came back to where we were sitting and snapped at a table full of people that were sitting near us and told them not to use the back door to come in and then went and locked the door so other people couldn't come in. He was real hateful about it. We can't wait to go to another Five Guys here in the ATL, but we would never go back to this one. read more

The bacon cheeseburger here is my favorite fast food burger in Nashville. Also, they always have great customer service. If you're going for the first time -- you'll probably find that the "Little" burgers are plenty for an average person, and you can easily split a regular order of fries (which are generally overflowing from the cup) with a couple people. read more

One manager (Sam) is one of the most friendly and helpful employees, you will EVER encounter ! The burgers are among the best and are double meat. Not a fan of this place. The burgers are good but not great, and the fries are pretty decent. I wouldn't dislike it so much except for two things. First, these are the messiest burgers I've ever eaten. I'm not a fan of a burger that I have to eat with a knife and fork. You can find them sprinkled all over town, and they offer the same fast and friendly service. You can decide what you want or don't want on your burger and BOOM its done. Have it your way but a whole lot less gross. A clean, almost clinical eating space but this isn't the kind of place where you linger. I don't understand the frenzy about this chain. The burgers are ok, but way expensive for what they are. One cheeseburger, small fries and a drink came to over 10 dollars. It's fast food, it's a chain, it's not fabulous so I don't understand the price point. My order was prepared pretty quickly, despite the fact the place was packed. My favorite was the fries....but my goodness there were way to many fries to eat, and I threw away alot! I won't go back probably, just because I thought it was way too expensive and the quality wasn't mind blowing. Dear Lord Nashville needs a good burger, but kids, don't be fooled...this is NOT it. It may, however, be that place you go to when you are drunk beyond belief and THINK its amazing. Sadly, having only been there sober, I can tell you its a big old greasy burger in an atmosphere reviled only by McDonalds in over the top bright lighting. Coming from CA, In-and-Out Burgers are the standard. Five Guys comes as close as I have found in Nashville, TN. I try to stay away from chains but I will come here again.
