In Nashville for a few days and we were hungry upon arrival. Didn't want to walk far and this was close to our hotel. First time to this chain...it was nice to choose whatever toppings you want on your burger. The little burger is one patty, the regular is two. I went with one and shared a little fries with my husband. There were tons of fries for both of us. I really enjoyed them...hot and delicious. Super quick if you're in a hurry or close to "hangry" as we were! Also had hot dogs on the menu...something I don't see often at a burger place. read more

I've eaten here a lot and have been to many of the other locations all over the South and it's cosistantly good. However, I agree with another reviewer that it is a little overrated. The burger is solid for a fast food style burger but nothing to get too excited about. The reason I keep coming back is for the Cajun fries. Damn you FIVE GUYS!!! You really need to change you name to "FIVE GALS"... For as often as I grab a Bacon Cheese Burger with mayo, lettuce, onions, jalapenos, and hot sauce and a whole bag of cajun fries.... Sorry my mouth started watering again... But my love is starting to question me on why I'm always with Five Guys... The location is great... yeah the parking for cars are in the back, so what! I got a Bonneville, and I love swinging her to the front parking toll and advertise your burgers as I unfold the foil to reveal it's goodness. Really you can't beat their burgers for the price. Overall you got a welcoming cashier and crew in the back flipping burgers, wide range of tables, two ketchup dispensers (important if your a ketchup lover like myself), free peanuts, free refills (MISTA PIB!)... Simple food properly prepared and served. Fresh, tasty hamburger patty on the Little Hamburger (1 patty) or Hamburger (2 patties) with all the toppings you want, and no extra charge for extra toppings except cheese and/or bacon. Fries come in a cup, but with so many extra ones in the bag that a small order can easily be shared between 2 adults. We order Light salt and then season to taste. Fries come hot, fresh and tasty; take out a few at a time from the bag to keep them hot. Drinks are from a machine with a 100 choices, and refills are free. Water is free from the machine if you ask for a cup at the counter. Service is fast, as they begin to cook the number of patties immediately upon you placing your order. Bun is a little soft so sandwich wrap or 2 hands are needed to hold it together while eating. Peanuts are available from a large box and you can eat all you want while seated and waiting for your order. The made to order burgers are ready in about 5 minutes and you need to listen for your order number to be called out. Prices of sandwiches are good for a fresh, tasty made to order burger, Good for drinks with the free refill, and a bargain for the huge order of fries. Haven't tried the milkshakes yet. Be,levue Tennessee five guys....once in a blue moon I wanta burger....they are soggy, tasteless hunks of cow....all totaly tasteless...almost green tomato..wilted lettuce ...blindfolded I would never have guessed there were onions or cheese or evn pickles! No grilled taste...just tasteless overlooked and gray....fries over salted greasy mess.. Same for the. Bacon and cheese..totally tasteless waste of calories...fast food devil McDonalds next door...at least has flavor ..great fries and burger does not require a fork! 3.5 stars So my friends and I were starving on a late Friday night and we were trying to decide where to go to feed the hunger. We wanted something unhealthy, potentially greasy, and something that would satisfy this emptiness in our stomach. And all at once, we agreed, "FIVE GUYS". I ordered a Little Cheeseburger. But, don't be deceived by the title, the Little Burgers would be more than enough to fill you up--the difference between the Regular and the Little is just an extra meat patty. And I enjoy a little more balanced meat to vegetable ratio in my burger anyway. After ordering, they give you a number and you can wait until your number is called. In the mean time, while my stomach was about to implode upon itself, we helped ourselves to the complimentary peanuts. Yes, peanuts. Huge tubs of peanuts and bags of peanuts line the restaurant and you are welcome to take as many peanuts as you like. We each quickly devoured a basket of peanuts. After a few minutes, they called my number and my lovely cheeseburger came out. The patties are always juicy (slightly greasy) but yummy. What I love about Five Guys though are the plethora of topping options and the detail to which you can customize them. For someone as picky as me, I really appreciate being able to customize every topping that is placed on the burger without getting weird judgmental looks from the guy behind the register as I describe that I want a cheeseburger with "only onions" meaning no ketchup, no mustard, no mayo. And I love being able to pile on grilled mushrooms and green peppers. Overall, great flavors, my only complaint was the sogginess of the burger. By the time I opened my burger (in the restaurant, no less), my hamburger buns seemed limp and lifeless, barely holding together the burger itself. I really wish they toasted their buns or somehow solved this problem so that they would really stand up to all of the toppings they cram inside. Their fries are pretty good too. They remind me a lot of Boardwalk Fries. You can get them cajun style or normal style. The cajun style kind has a cool paprika-filled seasoning sprinkled over the fries that reminds me of Old Bay seasoning. Also, like with the Little Burgers, a "Regular Fries" will more than fill you and your dining partner up. Use caution if you want to order a "Large Fries" because it really is a heck of a lot of fries. Even after coming in so hungry, we couldn't finish off the Large Fries we ordered. Again, my only complaint with the fries, if I had to make one, is that they seemed a little limp and soggy. Or some of them did. Suffice it to say, we left Five Guys plenty full and I would definitely return again when the craving for a cheeseburger becomes unbearable. Another word of warning: greasy floors. One of my pet peeves. Wear shoes with traction, lest you slip and fall. Also, free 2-hour restaurant parking behind the building. Although, you unfortunately cannot enter the restaurant from the back entrance for "security reasons". Which, by the way, we found out the hard way as one of my friends let in someone who wanted to come in from the back and was then publicly admonished over the loud speaker that the back door is locked for security purposes. If you are looking for good fries, you found it. If you're looking for great burgers go down the street to Ted's. The only issue I have with the burgers is that they get extra soggy from the expo line to my bag. I don't know how they accomplish that, it's like some kind of super power. They should call it steamy burgerz, cause I don't know what the five guys is all about. There were only 3 guys when I went and you can definitely fit more than 5 people in the restaurant. Finally after going to three restaurants we finally find a restaurant that actually wants our business. We come in was greeted with smiling faces and a hello. I really like this place, however, it is a little pricey for a burger. I think I paid something like 11-12 bucks for a burger and fries.

Parking is a hassle but the fresh cut fries are worth it. The burgers are good as they are at other identical 5 Guys Burgers and Fries restaurants in this big chain. I like the way the guys and girls say hello as soon as I walk in the door. Tip: pull around building down driveway to the right for free rear parking. read more

I just don't get all the hype... the burgers are small (even the double), BLAND (I can't understand one reviewer who said they're "salty") and just not worth the money.... I can get a much better, satisfying burger at Wendy's. The fries, on the other hand, are up there with the best. I was recently in the restaurant and over heard several employees talking about spitting in my food that I and my wife ordered.... we are here Nashville due to our son being in the children's hospital at Vanderbilt... we are from Cookeville and will not return to this place of business, the manager was at facility and must have heard the remark made by the employees, due to his remark, "This not happening here" in which he made to the employees, my wife demanded a refund, in which we received and left.... Five Guys burgers are fine, but they're a little too thin for my liking. It's tough to get a nice, juicy patty when they're probably only 2-3 oz. in weight. A clear upgrade over McDonalds and other fast-food joints, but nothing special. That being said, their hand-cut fries cooked in peanut oil are awesome. read more
