Kosher Style Hot Dog and Regular Fries
    Annie W.

Five Guys never disappoints! Their portions are huge and their food is high quality. This time I tried the kosher hot dog and it is my new favorite menu item. It reminds me of Costco Hot Dogs in a way. The fries are enough for 3 people and the free peanuts are always a plus. The service and staff is great. They are super quick and efficient at providing your food and polite too. Pretty clean and has a great atmosphere and plentiful indoor seating!

How is it possible for a burger to have "everything on it" and still have no flavor? I got the single with no cheese and no mayo for a pricy $8, which is a double patty burger that looks pretty good. Although the bun got soggy after being wrapped for just 15 minutes, I was still expecting at least a little flavor for my investment. Now I am not a burger connoisseur but I have had some darn good burgers and it astonished me how a popular chain like this could completely fall to the bottom of the barrel of my burger experiences. Basically it was like eating a tofu burger with no seasoning. On the bright side, the establishment was very clean, there was lots of seating, and the service was prompt. This was a true testiment to the adage "looks can be deceiving." So would I EAT here again though? Nope.

Love. This. Place! It's so hard to not wanting to eat here! When I do decide to have it, I simply place my order online and pick it up when it's convenient for me. What I usually have is: - double cheeseburger with bacon, jalapeño and mushrooms...no bread. - small cajun fries (not pictured) The service is really fast, and my food is made on point so I have no complaints about this place! I recommend coming here. Try using the app or ordering online. It'll save you some time.

It is true I am a big fan of five guys burgers. This location is no different delicious food cooked fresh. As with most New York City places there is usually a line. I recommend waiting if there is a line. The food is worth a wait. I love the little cajun fries. They are just delicious and nothing so little about them. This location is in a great area and open late.

Five guys always make me happy. They serve enough quantity of meal. I always order double patty, tomato, lettuce and onion. It's already beyond franchise, we feels always same tasty. Little oily fries but not bad.

I had been to other Five Guys and though t I wrote review, but perhaps not. When you come in, you are greeted by piles of peanuts I never really understood--is it to chase away people with allergies? They have really good burgers. I like mine with BBQ sauce, grilled onions, and grilled mushrooms. I am not as big a fan of their fries, but they are OK. I like the machines that have sodas. Ordering is quick, but it can take awhile to get tour food. Definitely worth a visit.

Is it better than In-N-Out? I don't think so. But they still serve up a darn good burger and fries. But besides the great tasting, juicy burgers and hot golden fries, what I like about Five Guys is the menu. You can choose between their regular hamburger, cheeseburger, bacon burger, or bacon cheeseburger, or a "little" version of each. Toppings are free - lettuce, pickles, tomatoes, grilled onions, grilled mushrooms, ketchuip, mustard - and if you want all of these toppings, just say "everything" or "all the say". A note on their fries - they are famous not only giving you their serving cup of fries, but they'll dump another scoop full into the bag, so just keep that in mind when you're deciding between a regular and large size. The regular size is sufficient for two regular appetites. I prefer Five Guys over Shake Shack, but In-N-Out reigns supreme in my book.

All the way burger 5 guys midtown

When I'm in the mood for a quick good burger. I come to 5 guys. In NY there are so many food options. Today was cheat day. For a change I just wanted something really simple. I also had to bring a burger back to my x who was at her place. I have been to a bunch of the locations across the country. In my opinion 5 guys is simple done right. Consistency is the name of the game here. Pretty much every location I have been too. For $7 you get a cheeseburger. At 5 guys a cheeseburger consists of 2 patties. A little cheeseburger is just a single burger. You can get a unlimited amount of toppings on your burgers. They hand cut the fries. You can get them in regular or Cajun. The peanuts are unlimited. The shakes are really good. Inside the location in midtown. There was a good amount of seating. Other locations like the one upstate. defiantly have more tables and space to eat. But your in the city. I placed my order online. The online on the app. Would not let me select toppings. I don't know why. So I went on my computer and was able to select everything. Paid online and selected my pick up time. I arrived at the location. The girl was like hey your josh right. It was kinda funny and slightly weird. She handed me the food I said merry Christmas and headed back. Really easy and efficient service. I know 5 guys can get really crowded around lunch time. I usually go at odd hrs to adjust for this issue. I went 2pm. Overall. I like 5 guys. It's not a place you come to eat healthy. But the food is super good. I would recommend 5 guys to anyone. Order online for the easiest service. Get in get out.

No gloves and handling a bucket with frozen fries.

Not the best 5 Guys I've been in. Bun was stale. And no place to sit. Burger was poorly constructed.

We were thrilled to find two seats at the end of the bar when we arrived. As luck would have it, the two gentlemen next to us eventually left, allowing us to slide over and enjoy an even better view of the TV for the rest of the game. I started with a Tito's and club soda, but unfortunately, something seemed off--perhaps the club soda was flat. The drink just wasn't good. To their credit, the bartender took it back without hesitation and was very accommodating. I then ordered a Negroni after the woman sitting next to us highly recommended it. I don't usually drink gin, but this cocktail was absolutely delicious and changed my mind. Since we were there for several hours, we shared an order of zucchini and eggplant chips and happily snacked on them throughout the game. The atmosphere was comfortable and welcoming, with a nice mix of ages and people enjoying the evening. We made sure to leave our bartender a generous tip since we occupied our seats for the entire game. Even though the Knicks didn't pull out a win that night, we certainly didn't leave defeated. I'd happily return for another game, cocktail, and fun evening out. And maybe even get dinner there. Little did I know there was another big room in the ack once you past the restrooms. They were having a thriving business there!

He was constantly busy zippin around but maintained a nice demeanor and made everyone feel welcome! Must orders of mine: the burger! Although small, it comes out piping hot and the fresh white onion between the bottom bun and burger is awesome because it doesn't make the bottom bun soggy and catches all the juices from the actual meat. Love subbing the fries for a Caesar salad! Standout appetizer is the fried zucchini and eggplant with tzatziki-- crispy, hot, juicy and I get it every time!

Reservations open 2 weeks in advance around 10am and they go super fest so I recommend you try for the day you need as for me I could only have gotten brunch on a Sunday. Those people spam the crap out of their buttons for the dinner spots and when I went I can see why. The place is brimming with old school New York charm and it's completely overwhelmingly beautiful and has an old jazzy vibe to it. It's large and spacious and they sat us in the middle of the entire restaurant. (I had a group of 6) The vibe was so good you don't really want to leave and they also don't really kick you out. I think we were the last ones to exit for brunch but they were so nice they didn't kick us out. Their espresso martinis are ok. It wasn't as amazing as a regular cocktail bar but it is just ok. We started off with a shrimp cocktail, smoked whitefish Caesar salad and the two plates of truffle monkey bread which was soooo good. I really enjoyed this as it's the main reason we came here. It's almost like a honey dinner roll with truffle. We got everything next which some people got their own and some shared. Some people got their own American breakfast platter which was some overdone eggs and a meat with gigantic toast and if you only order scrambled eggs it comes in a bowl but I would much rather order their classics like steak sandwich and the spicy shrimp was pretty good! Fries are top tier! I can see why people just come here for dinner. I would give it mostly 5 stars for the overall ambiance and environment and a few classics. I think their old fashioned is better than their espresso martinis though even though it looks so good in this type of setting! It's hard to get a reservation though so next time I'll need to try some new things if I score another!

Two-part, proper settle, tight dome, no rushing it. That's rarer than it should be in Midtown where half the bars treat a stout like a lager. Whoever's behind the bar here has been trained or grew up around it. Food's better than a second-floor pub between 5th and 6th has any right to be. The JRB burger comes on a house-ground patty (they grind in-house, and you can tell, loose texture, actual seasoning), caramelized onions cooked down all the way, not just softened, good cheese pull. Fried pickles on the side had a crisp cornmeal shell and stayed crunchy under the burger juices, which never happens. Buttermilk chicken salad was the surprise. Chicken actually brined, crust stayed on, greens weren't an afterthought. Only real knock: music was loud. Not sports-bar loud, more like the bartender's playlist got away from him. Fine at the bar, harder at a table if you want to talk. Room's got real bones. Reclaimed barn wood, old rail track as a foot rest, that big 45-star flag on the wall. Been here almost 20 years and it's aged into itself. For the neighborhood the pricing's fair. Beats P.J. Clarke's on the burger, loses on quiet. Go for a beer and a burger, not a date.
