This was just ok. The meat was really fresh I liked it. Other than that, way overpriced & every time I go they mess up my order.

This no frills burger joints whips out some of the juiciest most delicious burgers and fries this guy has ever had the gastronomical pleasure of eating. I can see why they have done so well. Quick tip: Share the fries...I mean seriously, they overload the cup by a magnitude of 2. This is my second time going to Five Guys, and my first time trying the burgers. I am a hot dog fan, so I had to try the dog the first time. The burger was great-- hand-formed patty and not too greasy but enough for flavor. I like that the grilled mushrooms and grilled onions come with the burger price when you ask for "everything on it;" but I felt that the mushrooms were overpowered by the pickles... so next time I would either do everything without mushrooms, or mushrooms with the works except pickles. Hopefully that makes sense. The fries are the nice dark home-style fries... you'll want to share a regular-sized fry with three people! Love the roasted in-shell peanuts available for everyone dining-in. It is not a very large burger on its own, but that is why you can add another patty! The hotdogs are very good and that is probably what I will order next time I go! read more

My cousin, children and I stopped by for lunch. Everyone working there was super friendly and outgoing. My questions about the menu choices were answered promptly. I had to make some changes to my order it was handled with ease. The burgers were delicious and the fries were plentiful! This is a great place to bring kids. There is not a play scape, but there is plenty to keep them occupied. We will definitely go back again. read more

I ordered online. There were two people in line when I arrived. I walked up to the counter next to the sign for online orders (I'm supposed to be able to skip the line). Then, two more customers walked in. All of the walk-in customers were helped before I was. The employee who helped me did not make sure the other employees knew I was there. I waited 15 min. after I arrived and I already got there after the website said my food would be ready. The manager paid more attention to the fry guy who was already busting his behind than the guy at the counter not doing anything. Unacceptable. I've had a few experiences like this at this location. The food's always delicious. I just wish they would put the fries in a separate bag if they're just going to dump them in. I know it's a trademark thing, but I hate it. read more

Unfortunately, the Whataburger app wasn't functioning properly to order online or scan for rewards, so decided to order Five Guys online. It gave me the time my order would be ready. Unfortunately, they don't have curbside pickup, so had to go inside for pick-up, which I didn't really mind. The one guy handling pick-up was taking care of another customer at the time I got there and when my food would be ready. That one guy was also putting the orders in the bags and could see the people at pick-up increasing and social distancing decreasing. Also, that guy handling pick-up didn't acknowledge me until I spoke up. He continued to get other people's orders that came in after me, which was mind-boggling. After waiting at pick-up for 10 min after my order was supposed to be ready, I spoke up for the second time and clearly stated and spelled out my name loud enough for everyone to hear after employees could not hear me the second time. The guy at pick-up finally got my $16 order, gave it to me, and said have a nice day, no apology about the lack of decent customer service. The biggest problem was their pick-up process/service because it was so understaffed (only one guy) and disorganized which led to improper social distancing for customers. Boujee burgers and fries, even though they are good, are overpriced and not worth my money, awful pick-up process, and terrible customer service. Would rather call-in order for Whataburger, burgers are better and meals are cheaper, and receive curbside pick-up, than deal with this mess again. They definitely need more than one guy handling pick-up...maybe five guys would do. read more

My brother turned me onto Five Guys Burgers in Washington, DC a few months ago and then I found it in San Antonio. I love this place. They only make like 4 things. Hamburger, cheese burger, fries and, I think, grilled cheese. But they make the best frigging burgers I've ever eaten! The burgers are made when you order, you can watch them throw them down on the grill. The are big, fat, thick, meaty burgers that tasty wonderful. They have like 16 different toppings, pick as many as you want for no extra cost. The fires are just like the burgers. Fresh, big and tasty. The fries are cut fresh from real potatoes and fried in peanut oil. If they make a few too many fries, they just throw the extras in your bag. Nothing is ever kept warm ,reheated or processed. The good, its tasty, its relatively cheap. Way better than something from a fast food burger barn. read more

Now that I have their menu figured out I like 5 Guys. The first time I came I ordered the hamburger because I thought the little burger was just a junior burger. I didn't know the hamburger was doublemeat. Now I order the little burger with all the fixings & fries. It's outstanding . I just wish they would make the burgers & buns a little bigger to accommodate all those fixings.Service has always been great the times I've gone there. read more

I've eating at a few 5 guy burgers and they are pretty consistent at me a bland and mediocre and dark heavily fried fries are terrible not to mention that on average. I spend $13 !!! On the combo meal no that's actually not worth $5 so I've giving up on them just not good . Just to be clear this is not a reflection of the employees or this location just the brand . read more

This one is located by loop 410 and 151, store ID TX-1047, went there today at 11:45 AM and was very disappointed the burger was cold as if it had been stored pre-cooked. My milkshake was not prepared and I had to ask for it when the burger was done. I hope they are not getting sloppy. read more

Atmosphere great, music great, get your own free refills on drinks. Fun retro place, paperbags, fries in a cup, sandwiches wrapped. This is my second visit to Five Guys. It has been several years since I've been to one. I got a cheeseburger, small fry and drink. The first thing I didn't like was the fact they have no meal deals. Everything is separate. So, when it was time to pay I'm almost at $15. To me that is quite a bit for a simple cheeseburger, fries and drink. I got the Cajun seasoned fries and they were good and they dump plenty of them in your bag. Oh yeah, everything is served in a brown paper bag whether you're taking it to go or eating it there. If you don't like spicy then don't order the Cajun fries, just get regular. The burger was good but didn't have a lot of flavor. The veggies on it seemed fresh and crisp. I had to add salt and pepper. All in all it was a good meal. I'll say this. I could have gotten the same thing at Whataburger for $5 less. It was good food, I just feel $15 is too much. read more

You people I watch on YouTube named Ty moss and Grayson burger always are saying how good and fresh and tasty these burgers are. Everything they eat one in a video my mouth waters. Anyways, I came to San Antonio for vacation this year and I figured I'd check to see if they had a five guys! Sure enough, they did! I ordered the bacon cheeseburger and 4 people shared the large fry. The burger was fresh and delicious, I asked for a little mayo, and there was only a little on it. They didn't mess anything up and it was just great. The place was clean and nothing really that made me loose my appetite. The burgers and fries are actually good priced for all you get. You get loads of fries and the burger is very big and filling. I give this place a 5/5 and I wish they would put one in my town Knox,IN lol. Anyways, go here! read more

Stopped by Five Guys today to let my kids try a different burger. While everything was excellently made, the up-front shock of paying probably will keep me from returning. All told, three little cheeseburgers, one regular cheeseburger (double), a large bag of fries, and three regular drinks - $38. I mean, we could've eaten at Whataburger twice for just as much for basically a comparable meal. While it's true that Five Guys' burgers are outstanding, I don't agree they're worth the cost for treating family. Even Smashburger is a more reasonable option, and they happen to sell beer...not for the kids :) Since this review covers everything, the restaurant itself was well kept and the staff was attentive and friendly. I liked the cool Coke machines that crank out 40+ soda varieties. Meanwhile, the peanuts are just a novelty - good luck having your kids keep things clean while destroying them all over the place. Decided to try something new with my better 1/2. The burger was very good, tasty. Fries remind me of home fries not like fake fries that taste like the oil they were fried in. They say "if the music is too loud, then you're too old!" I guess I'm too old. I couldn't hear myself think, worst of all the guy barking out that the orders were ready had to repeat this 5 times no one could hear what he was saying....I guess it fits 5 guys!!! The young lady orienting us to the menu, ran through the menu and it was hard to hear what the Hell she was saying. I would recommend if you don't mind coming out of the place with your ears ringing, then eat in, if you decide to take home, go to Whataburger. read more

My first time. Had heard it was highly recommended. Placed an order by phone to go for a cheese burger with bacon, grilled onions, jalapeños, tomatoes, lettuce and fries on the side, plenty of fries. Next time I will order the small fries. It`s just home cooked burgers and fries basically. So tastes a little better than fast food burgers. Cost too much. But I like a home cooked burger. read more
