We saw a video hyping this place up and decided to try it. We ordered a variety including cheeseburger, double cheeseburger, fries, onion rings, chili cheese dog, sweet tea and a chocolate milkshake. The lady at the counter was nice and when we ordered the burgers she asked if we wanted everything on it. I always appreciate when they ask that because sometimes I forget to say I don't want mustard or pickles. The food was alright, almost down right bad. Not at all close to good. The fries and onion rings were a let down, the fries had a weird after taste and it wasn't seasoning because they weren't seasoned or salted at all. The onion rings weren't season or salted at all, basically fried onions but no salt. The milkshake was not good. Did not taste like typical chocolate, not sure what they could've used because it doesn't take like a syrup or ice cream I've had before. Lastly, the sweet tea was so strong that all the ratios were wrong. Tea,water and sugar all wrong proportions because it tasted like very strong black tea with little amount of sugar. The only saving grace was the chili cheese dog, but nothing special about it, literally hot dug bun, hotdog, chili and very little cheese. Will not be coming back unfortunately. We live close to this fast food burger place so it's become convenient when we feel like having a pretty good burger. We go through the drive through and end up eating in the car. It is very casual and a come as you are establishment. The service is friendly and the burgers are good. It is fast food so don't expect a fancy burger. You will get good food at a decent price. I really wanted to give this place Five stars but the French fries kept me from doing so. I'll explain. If your going to do hamburgers this well then by all means do a good French fry. To begin with. Yes this place is sketchy as hell. Yes you could likely get robbed at late night. But with all being said. This hamburgers here are outstanding. Old fashioned burgers that are ripped straight from my youth. I also ordered the fish and shrimp plus a polish dog. They also were good. The polish is a little on the expensive side at $2.95 for just the dog and no fries. In Chi town you can get fries with all your dogs complimentary. Also ordered shake and it was liked as well. Got this suggestion based on that little lunch time yelp message, I decided to take yelps sugestion and try this place out. I am definetly not used to this style of "dining" It is a outdoor restaurant basically. The kitchen where the burgers are grilled are a one man kitchen with a service window. Very mom and pop concept, they definetly cook to order so come with some time to wait, I can see that it is a fresh food and not fast food mentality here and I don't completely hate it. It pays off to wait for the fresh burger. There is also a drive through, however by no means it will be much faster, just convenient really. They take cards and that is great cause I never carry cash. The prices are mixed, the burgers are not cheap but all the sides and drinks are pretty well priced therefore makes the overall price of the meal somewhat in the same range of any indoor fast food joint, to me this place seems to be aboit the flavor and the novelty of having a out of the norm style dining. I looked at the menu and was sold by the coconut milkshake right away I knew i needed to try one. And I was not totally disappointed. Tasted good enough for me to want to finish it but it was nothing special really, but for the price it was good enough . For the food I got the bacon cheeseburger not the meal just the burger and what a good choice I would have 2 more if I could. The burgers taste very good and fresh. I live on the East Side and regardless of the name this will always be Pinky's. It's not the best but they are consistent and they do what it do. They have an extensive menu but it's the Texas Burger company so if you order the shrimp and you aren't happy it's your fault. stick to the burger. Their wings aren't bad and iv also had a Polish sausage and was not upset. They can be annoying at times because they will try to get you to spend cash but it's not posted any where. read more

So, we sat down and waited for our order. As we were sitting there, we noticed that the drive thru cars were getting their meals a lot quicker than us. So, word of advice...use the drive thru because we waited in the cold and IT SUCKED! Anyhoo, we got the food and took it back to our place since it was so cold to eat outside. Yes, they only have outdoor seating. I have to say that the catfish is probably the best seasoned catfish that I've had in San Antonio. It had a nice crisp to it and I really didn't even need tartar sauce. I SMOTHER my fish in tarter sauce normally. My hubby's burger was juicy, delicious, and well seasoned. My husband wanted a milkshake so I ended up here because their menu said "Old Fashioned Milkshakes". I'm a bit disappointed because that's not the case. It made me pay for it's company, my goodness, another word on their restaurant name!! This place was surrounded by construction on the road, I almost passed it up. I came around the time it had opened. Now this hole in the wall, it has a drive thru. You know me, I get the bacon cheeseburger. This was one of the most authentic burgers I've tasted in a while, it was perfectly grilled, it was fresh, it was tasty, it was a perfect burger and WAIT. Hold on... Crinkle cut fries. Say WHAT. You know what I don't understand about burger places? What's the DEAL with not having crinkle cut fries!? I used to get this shit in like 4th grade and I loved it then, still love it now. But now all these burger joints are cutting out the crinkle cut fries and ruining my chance on ever tasting them again. It was a nice touch. This was by far the best burger I have had in many many years. If it wasn't for it being on the other side of town I would go get one right now, but alas that will have to wait till Monday after class. The fries were quite tasty too, no super complicated seasoning on it, just salt but cooked to perfection too. got an oreo milkshake as well and it was freakin awesome! I could tell real ice cream was used, not soft serve and real milk was used. pretty much had the flavor I would expect from what I can make at home. Very competent and solid burgers, but not quite the heaven-sent gift from the Burger Gods that some people describe. Fries were very mediocre and not really worth it. Intriguingly, their fountain Coke was incredible - I don't know if they just messed with the ratio of syrup:water or what, but it was genuinely one of the tastiest, most flavorful Cokes I've ever had, and I consider myself to be a bit of a soda snob.
