Extremely disappointed with Fix Auto Irvine. My insurance company contacted them after my car suffered a few scratches, and we made the appointment that they'll estimate the cost for car repairing after 2 weeks. Once time's up, I brought my car in there and they took the photos of the damaged area and promised that they'd have the estimate ready in 2 to 3 days, which unfortunately didn't happen. To my disappointment, I called them on Thursday asking for estimate report and they told me that they would give me the estimate hours later. Called again on Friday morning and they promised to get it done within the day, didn't happen. Called again next Monday, still didn't happen. On Thursday when I drove to the body shop, the receptionist announced that they have nothing to offer. Instead, they suggested me to leave my car with them to start proceeding repairing, meanwhile I was asked to sign a paperwork in which they stated that they'll "Perform Diagnostic Scan, Disassemble and Inspect to Prepare Estimate" for $500. I was tired of waiting and signed the agreement, and the next day I was texted that my car was in the process of repairing. Finally I got my car back while spending 40% more than another shop's estimate and still dissatisfied about the end result. I'll never do business with them again. read more

Dishonest and shoddy. Zach Serhal gave me a competitive quote to get the business but didnt do all the work he said he would, it was an immediately obvious eyesore when picking up the car. He then said he hadnt agreed to do that part in the same area which was untruthful. He then said no issue with the rain he would paint it and put it in the oven , returned the car a second time with a botched paint job saying "maybe the rain washed it off". The driver left me a bottle of paint to "touch it up myself". I was told there was a lifetime warranty on paint and labor - didn't last long did it? I hope Discover can get some money back. Another collision shop gave me a quote for $282 to fix what he didnt do, saying that they should have suggested to replace and paint the $80 part. Many other 1 star reviews on here, I wish I had checked first. read more

Referred to this shop by StateFarm Insurance who insures the person who regrettably hit my car. Clearly this is never a fun situation for anyone who is involved especially due to the fact that within 30 days I had planned on starting a new position at work, moving apartments, and then going on vacation for my birthday. Fix Auto made this situation easy due to the fact that they communicated efficiently and thoroughly. There was also a large paint scratch on the front left fender that they also buffed out for me during the buffing & waxing period during the repair. Keep in mind the actual work they were doing for me was on the back bumper. Therefore, there was no need for them to even touch this area and in that case most auto shops would never want to do that since they do not want to be responsible if this does not come out fully. They took the chance and I am glad they did because my car looks great. Will bring my vehicle back for any further body damage (hopefully none occurs). read more

I got hit in a parking lot back in February. I have a busy schedule so I didn't exactly have time for something like this. So I decided to select the closest body shop on the list provided to me by my insurance. My rental car was with Enterprise whom I have used on several other occasions. I'm used to handling that portion myself. I was pleasantly surprised to find their system was linked with Enterprise. I almost didn't believe it so had to verify myself. My car was also done in 1 day! It looked better than brand new. They also gave a life time guarantee and told me to come back in a few months to check the work. I have yet to get back in there, but Lexi at the front made it such a seamless process and Scott really cared about my satisfaction of the service. I highly recommend and is now my go to shop. I chose this place because they partner with AAA, which is my insurance carrier. The facilities seemed clean and the staff were generally friendly. They were able to get me an estimate quickly and told me that they could order the part for my car that needed to be replaced and notify me when the part came in. This would save me time and money from not having to use a rental car. I received the estimate via email and replied back to move forward. No response. I finally called in and was told that the part would be ordered and that they would call to let me know when it arrived. Again, no response. About a month went by without a call, so I called them. A lady answered and checked with the parts department. She called me back to let me know that they would contact me once the part arrived. This tells me that they forgot and did not order the part when I originally called a month prior. A few days later they called me to tell me that the part came in. I scheduled to bring my car in. They had not included my tire damage in the estimate even though I told them about it during the original inspection. Now I have to call my insurance company again to have the damages reassessed. I asked about my ride situation since I couldn't arrange to have a friend take me to and pick me up from work. They told me that someone could drive me to work and that, once the work was done, someone could either drop off my car or pick me up to bring me back to my car. I get the call later the afternoon only to be told that someone could come at 4:30pm. Most people work until 5pm don't they? I told him I got off of work at 5pm and he said that there wouldn't be anyone working that late but that they could leave the car unlocked for me to pick up later. Had my fiance not been able to pick me up from work, I would have been stranded. I didn't have a choice so I asked him to leave it unlocked with the keys under the mat. Thankfully my car was there in the lot, but whoever parked it had jammed my parking break. After struggling with it for several minutes, I had to call my fiance to come back to help me unjam it. When I had called previously, their "hold music" tells you that they care about customer service and that someone calls you after to ask you about your experience. No call, worst experience ever. read more

The employees at this business are not only incompetent, they are rude whilst being incompetent. They've told me SEVERAL times that they would call to update me on the status of my repairs, only for me to have to call THEM every time to try to get an idea of a) what is going on with my car, and b) how long it will take to repair. They ordered new parts for the repair without notifying me, decided to create a full new repair estimate without telling me, and still have not informed me of any kind of timeframe for the repairs. Essentially, they've taken my car hostage and have decided to do whatever they want with it without acknowledging that people often need their cars for daily life. DO NOT bring your car here for repairs. No one seems to know what is going on with any of the cars they are working on at any given moment. Completely dissatisfied. read more

That being said, the glass guy was late as hell getting to the shop. Apparently traffic was a issue. Maybe he was from Mississippi and wasnt privy to our traffic here. When I called to schedule an appointment, Katie was extremely kind and helpful when I told her it was my first time going through the process of having a car fixed following an accident. When I came in the morning of the accident both Lindsey and Deanna were kind and welcoming. Deanna walked me through the process and made it super easy and painless for me! Alberto kept me updated on the progress of my car, and even let me know that they had pushed me to the front of the line since they knew I would be going out of town the following weekend. My car was ready the same night I brought it in, and I picked it back up the next morning. Bumper looked as good as new! After I was rear ended, my family was worried that our family car would never look the same. The bumper was falling off, the trunk wouldn't close properly, and it looked like parts of the frame were bent. State Farm recommended Fix Auto to us and we're so glad they did. Even my boyfriend says the car looks as if it had never been in an accident. A few days after we got the car back, we discovered the trunk lid would slam shut. We called Fix Auto in the evening and they offered to make the repair the next day. My only gripe about this place is how long it took for them to give an estimate and finish the repair. The car was towed to Fix Auto on 7/16/14. It took them a week to give us a quote for the work and they told us the car wouldn't be finished until 8/15/14. Needless to say, we maxed our rental car insurance. All in all, we'd definitely come back if we need another repair. read more

AAA recommended this shop to me after getting into a minor accident. Before heading into the shop I browsed their Yelp reviews, and was at first deterred by the amount of low ratings. The first appointment to take the estimate of the damage lasted more than an hour, for a job that should have only taken at most 30 minutes. Somehow they mixed up who was next in line for an estimate; I was thoroughly annoyed with them. The saving grace, however, was the lady with the dark hair at the front desk, who was very apologetic and made it appear that this type of mix up did not happen often. The estimator told me she would email me with the approximate estimate, and inform my insurance as well. I never got the email, nor did my insurance. The following Monday I dropped my car off, and an Enterprise worker came to pick me up, which was nice. They told me the car would be done earliest on Friday, and they would contact me asking for authorization to remove the bumper and such. I never got the notification either, nor did I ever get a follow up regarding the status of my car. I had to call on Friday to ask if my car was ready that day, and they told me it was in the wash now and would be done in an hour. By then it was already 4 pm, and so I could not pick up my car that day. I got it on Saturday morning, and my car was as good as new, and washed as well. Long story short: their repair work was done in a timely manner, but their communication is REALLY lacking. I would change my review to 4 stars if they had better communication with their staff and customers. More initiation on my part to determine the status of my car. read more

Fix Auto literally blew my mind with their customer service. I was in a pretty serious car accident with a lot of rear and front end damage. The car was in the shop for 2.5 weeks, as a lot of the parts took a while to arrive - completely out of their control. They completed repairs on my car sooner than promised and always kept me in the loop. I am work in sales and their communication really was above and beyond. They called me twice every week to give me status updates, even if there wasn't much to say. I had such a peace of mind because I never once wondered what was going on with my car repair. My car was brand new (2013) when it came in, and my main concern was that the car looked just as good as new. Well, they did it and you could never tell that my car was in a major accident ($11k in repairs). They are not the cheapest shop in town, but you get what you pay for. I value service and professionalism, and they topped the charts with that. If service, professionalism, quality work and communication, they are worth a little more than a discount shop. If all you care about is the cheapest repairs possible and don't care if your body shop doesn't answer the phones, doesn't call you back, doesn't repair quickly or doesn't honor their word, then you could save a few bucks elsewhere. To me, it's no question, I would take my car back to Fix Auto if I ever needed body work done again. Hopefully though, I will never need to. There were a couple issues after the repairs were completed, but I am really, REALLY picky. They were quick to apologize and got on top of the repairs right away. They covered the rental car while they fixed a few things. Their professionalism and service through the process more than made up for the things they needed to fix, and I would give them a top recommendation to anyone needing repairs! read more

I was very happy with my service at Fix Auto today. Went to them through my insurance, Geico. In addition to fixing my front bumper (why I went in), they removed a pinstripe that was painted on by the dealer when I purchased my car. I liked the stripe, but it was always getting in the way of repairs and had to be repainted every time. I told them to call me with an estimate on removing it (since most of it was nowhere near the damage I needed repaired). They just went ahead and did it for free. What's more, since they had the paint out they went ahead and painted nicks all over my car! They even brushed out some rust that had developed on a dent on the complete opposite side of the car, and repainted that, too. And - no extra charge to me. I checked the itemized repair receipt, and there was no sign of extra charges or anything for the extra work. The front desk was helpful, too (my only note is that I always hate it when I am asked to sign paper work before I see the repairs - not a good practice). Overall, good experience. I will definitely be back if I need more repairs. read more

Got into an accident and my insurance recommended this place to me. Got there and dropped off my car after an initial inspection from the one of the adjusters. They said they would get me a quote in 2 days (more like 3 days) and they stated that the repairs would be done in 2 weeks. I have no complaints about the work they did to my car. My bumper was repaired and looks good as new. They have a lifetime warranty in case something is wrong or the paint is chipped or whatever which is awesome. You can even have them update you on the status of your vehicle via text or phone which was convenient. They stuck to their timeline of 2 weeks. (which was long for me since I was hoping it wouldn't take that long, but they are a busy place.. so if you need your car done quickly, I probably would not recommend this place.. that's probably the only reason I give them 4 stars) Otherwise, everyone there is pretty friendly and they seem to know what they're doing. I was recently rear ended in my truck which was devastating because it is my baby and I have put a lot of custom aftermarket parts and work into it. I was dreading taking my truck in because my roommate had gotten his truck fixed at a Caliber Collision and the extremely poor quality job that they did left his truck worse then before. So I knew I would NOT be going to a Caliber Collision. After shopping around and reading tons of reviews I decided to go to Fix Auto in Irvine and I am so thankful I did! Scott Thompson was my repair planner and he went above and beyond to make sure that the repairs were done properly. I am thoroughly impressed by the level of service and professionalism I experienced. I was provided an accurate estimate by Scott; with Lexi and Destinee keeping me up to date the entire time on what was happening and how long it was going to take. When I picked up my truck it looked brand new and you could not tell that it had been in an accident. I pray that I am never in another accident but if I am I will make sure to take my vehicle here! These guys were the autoshop that my insurance company said I needed to go to. Given it was not my fault and I had zero liability, I decided to check them out. The first thing you notice is just how professional the operation is. A proper reception desk and area, everything clean, a coffee area with a k-cup machine, etc. They did an excellent job on my 2014 Lexus GS. They fixed the damage and even rebuffed an area that wasn't a part of the damaged area to make the paint look like new (it was previously faded looking) at no extra charge!
