We arrived what was super early for us for dinner on Saturday, 5pm and the place was already packed. Luckily we were seated right away. The horrible weather and new location could have something to do with it. The new restaurant is gorgeous. Service was impeccable. I had the drunken fish and shrimp...I ate every bite. My husband had the skirt steak...Be prepared for a huge portion. He loved it. Refills were brought without asking, the servers engaged and asked about us. My only negative was the nasty snowbird snapping her fingers for more wine and complaining for no reason. Her husband finally told her to relax. It's absolutely the best chili releno I have EVER eaten in my life, & I've had many in my Texas, Chicago, California, and Colorado days. We arrived with a large party and were told they would set a table up for us no problem. Then they proceeded to sit another party at our table. When we questioned the hostess her reply was, "they aren't with you?" The manager/owner came out and he told us we would have to wait until those people had finished and they had just sat down. Went on Tuesday night and were delighted to see a brisk business going. Staff were very attentive,but we were not sure who was our waitperson as 3 different servers came to ask us the same questions,then we realized they must all work as a team. The owner outdid himself with this move! The place is immaculate and so modern. The food is incredible tasting and the so is the presentation. The guacamole is homemade and comes in a tortilla bowl that you can eat when your finished. I highly recommend one of the combos that includes the chili relleno, it is the best Mexican I ever had. Flacos is back open!!! After the loonngg 3 month wait for my favorite Mexican restaurant, I have been twice. Same faces, same decor, same menus, and same taste!! Ceilings are high and the noise carries throughtout the whole restaurant but did not hinder my experience there. We ordered the red sangria, los nachos (beef) a side beef enchilada, #11 combination platter (chicken, beef & cheese enchiladas) and 2 fried ice creams. Second visit we were there for drinks and apps. We ordered red sangria, house margarita, guacamole and shrimp tacos. Everything tasted great and exactly how I hoped it would. You can't be "trying your best" during covid and let an elderly lady with a walker stand at the hostess stand for an extended amount of time. Drink order, chips and salsa etc... wife ordered the chimmichanga's and I ordered the grouper taco's (mistake) they were so fishy I could not eat them. I made them take them away. Easy place to grab typically good Mexican. Staff is courteous, but know that some of the people who help keep waters full and tables clean do not speak much English. They will send someone over if they don't understand. It's just classic, good Mexican where most dishes come with rice and beans. Two for one drinks (wine, beer) earlier in the evening. read more

We having been eating at Flaco's since they opened many years ago. It is one of our all time favorite places to eat. The service is always excellent and the food is as well. My favorites are the tacos al pastor and the steak chipotle. The steak chipotle is no longer on the menu, however they have made it for me upon request and it's delicious! We moved away three years ago, but when we come back and visit, Flaco's is number one on our list of places to eat. Excellent food and friendly wait staff that are always happy to see us! read more

How can you go wrong with margaritas in water glasses served with straws? You can't. We shared a pitcher made with Cuervo, and enjoyed every drop. I don't usually order fajitas. To be honest, I hate the fact that the smell follows you out the door. That and the fact that you have to actually assemble your food at the table. But these steak fajitas were worth it. The meat was tasty and the fixings were just how I like them (lots of tomatoes). The chips were also fresh and clearly homemade. We also ordered a combo plate of chicken enchilada, beef burrito (which was really more like a taco) and a guacamole tostada with lettuce. It was a lot of food, and a great way to get lots of good guac without paying $8 for the guac appetizer. Service was different... The servers kept changing, which was neat. Never seen that before so it was fresh. Service was really good at the start then faded towards the end of the night. I had to flag someone down for a refill that I had waited about 5 minutes for. I would certainly go back, at least one more time. My next visit will decide if I like this restaurant or not. Great Mexican food. The wait staff was attentive and provided wonderful service. The only complaint is the air conditioning. It was 84 degrees outside (2/23/19) and hotter inside the restaurant. When I mentioned this to the waiter he said it was because of the amount of customers however it was only 1/4 full. Will not return until they address this issue. read more

We have been regulars for years when they were at the old location. Unfortunately after the move and the dramatic rise in prices, it's just not worth it. To the owner if you are reading this, maybe you should reevaluate your pricing especially when there are so many other options now. Classic Mexican in the heart of Naples north. We came here late on a Thursday evening and had no problem getting seated. The chips and salsa were plentiful we and had quite the kick. While the food was OK, the problem occurred with the bill. I like to tip on the value of the service. At this restaurant at the end of the meal I was given their electronic device where I could tap a tip of 18-20-22% if I was paying by credit card. I don't like to be told what to tip. The salsa they bring to the table is good, nothing spectacular. I have been here three times and the service is always below average, usually very slow especially to get your drinks. I have ordered the chicken chimichangas, which were pretty good but the chicken inside wasn't that good something about it was off. The last two times dining at Flaco's I have ordered the vegetarian fajitas which were good but it is pretty hard to mess up veggie fajitas. If you're reading this review I honestly wouldn't waste my time going here as there are better Mexican restaurants in the area. read more

The food is good enough. Nice selection of liqours and full bar. Definitely on the higher end. It wasn't busy and the large bar had one male bartender. Just not appealing for a single guy to go sit at the bar. Otherwise probably a good place to bring a date. Just be prepared to drop some coin. Worth another try. read more

Mexican Specialties & Steakhouse Flaco's has been here for as long as I can remember & I've lived here for 25 years. R & I hadn't been here for years but I wanted to try it again. We were pleasantly surprised. It was quite good. They were not very crowded but there were a good amount of full tables despite it being summer time. The decor is that of a typical Mexican restaurant with lots of dark wood, red chairs & colorful Mexican items displayed as decoration. Mariachi music played in the softly background. Mariachi music is fine by me as long as it isn't blasted. We started with El Guacamole & chips. We really enjoyed the guacamole because it was very fresh. It was not spicy at all which some of you might really like or really dislike. R isn't into spicy so he gobbled it down almost as fast as I did. For other dishes, the menu clearly states that you can request "light, medium or hot" spiciness. Yes, there as tons of enchiladas, tacos, tamales, fajitas, etc. It's a steakhouse, too, so there are a number of good beef cuts from which to choose. We didn't have any but I have heard that the beef is excellent. There are three seafood entrees. The Vegetarian menu includes seven choices. For $6.95 there are four selections on the Children's Menu. R had the taco salad. This is not standard fare for R but he thoroughly enjoyed it. The salad bowl is a fried flour tortilla which was obviously freshly made. I'm lucky R didn't smack my hand away for all the times I popped a bit of that crispy crust into my mouth. ;-) I had the Tacos al Pastor. Despite the soft taco, I didn't find that this entree screamed Mexican. It was delightful, tender marinated pork with a blended sauce of pineapple & avocado. Wonderful! As you might expect for this style of eatery, prices are very reasonable. The most expensive is the filet mignon at $24.95. For that price, we're going to have to go back & try it. The Mexican specialties range from $10.25 to $20.95. The Combo dishes start at 10.95 & go up only to $12.95. read more
