My friend and I went to Flamant for Sunday brunch and when we got there around 11am it was still pretty empty but quickly started to pick up. We sat inside with a great view of the outdoor area. I got the fried chicken sandwich that was absolutely massive and with the hot sauce on the side (highly recommend). Instead of fries, I asked for a side of artichoke instead which was also quite tasty. I tried the Salt & Pepperoncini which ended up being a very unique cocktail. If you don't like the pickle-like taste of pepperoncinis, stay clear of this drink. The frosé is made with Mezcal which makes it super unique and was actually delicious. A lovely brunch experience overall.

We snagged a last minute Saturday 7pm patio reservation, instead of driving into Dallas for dinner. We are so glad we did! Flamant was a pleasant surprise that left us smiling after dinner. We tried several appetizers and cocktails before selecting dinner plates. The grilled bread was our favorite appetizer, esp with the butter and salt toppings. The cocktails were unique and tasty- esp the cocktail with the grilled octopus! The service was amazing! Everyone was super attentive and kept the pace of the meal delightful so we never had a stack of dishes on the table at once. Since we were seated on the patio we didn't get to enjoy the interior of the restaurant until we went to the restroom and noticed the interior is cozy. On our way out we noticed signage promoting their all you can taste amazing brunch special, which we are planning to return and try one day soon!

Tried out this new spot. Very nice decor although the tables are a little small. My friend and I had the muhammara appetizer. Very unique and quite good. 7.5/10 We also got the ragu bianco. This one was very disappointing considering how much some influencers were hyping it up. Unique? Sure but not in a good way. The "ragu" was some sort of green sauce. It was very runny/watery and lacked any depth. Very bland and did not complement the other aspects of the dish well. Almost like a mild green sauce for tacos in a bad way... the pork was not to my liking in this dish either. The gnocci did not have a good chew and was kind of pasty. I would not order this here but other people seem to enjoy it so maybe it was just a bad day. 2/10 The ocean trout in contrast was quite well done. Very flaky and the fish was tender and balanced. With the lime and the grain accompaniment it was a good dish. 8/10. Go for this instead of the ragu. I'd try this place again but not in the near future

Flamant in Plano is a hidden gem! The atmosphere is beautiful, upscale but still relaxed and welcoming. I ordered the scallops and octopus, and both were absolutely delicious. octopus was smoky, tender, and beautifully seasoned. The cocktails were creative, and the service was attentive without being overwhelming. Overall, an amazing dining experience -- I can't wait to come back and try more dishes!

I was excited to try this place after I found out it's the same restaurant group as Rye, so a few friends and I came for brunch on a Saturday. They're located at the Boardwalk, but they only have an entrance on the boardwalk side, which can make it a bit difficult to find. They are walk-in only for parties under 9 people, and I was surprised to see that there were only 1-2 other tables dining when we arrived around 11:30 am. For brunch, they offer an all-you-can-eat menu for $40 per person, as well as $20 bottomless mimosas. Our group basically ordered one of each item on the menu so we could try out everything. The portions are pretty small, however, so we did end up ordering some dishes multiple times once we decided on the few that we really enjoyed. The dishes that we enjoyed the most were the muhammara toast, croissant benedict, skillet pancake, farro salad, the wood fired wagyu burger, and the grilled chicken sandwich. There were a couple of dishes, including the patatas bravas avocados, frittata, and the shakshuka, that were overly salted and made it difficult to eat. Overall, I feel that there is some room for improvement when it comes to making sure the food is seasoned appropriately for all dishes, especially since I had high expectations of this place. Their cocktails do sound unique and interesting, though, so I would probably come back to try those out.

Got the mussels which were really good and would get again! The sauce was great and dipped in bread so good. Also there espresso martini flight comes with full sized drinks. They are all pretty strong but great flavor. Overall nice place and would try other items.

Came back to Flamant this weekend to check out their dinner menu this time. The restaurant was busy this time around, the atmosphere and ambience was cozy and lively - great vibes for our date night! We ordered quite a few dishes in order to try out a healthy sampling of their menu offerings. Each dish and drink we ordered came out really quickly and efficiently. Here's what we ordered: Appetizers: -Beef tartare 10/10 Soft, creamy, and seasoned well. -Greens & Artichoke dip 8/10 Unique in having fried artichoke fritters as "chips" for the dip. Dip itself was cheesy, good amount of artichoke flavor. -Whipped Croquettes 9/10 Lovely fried mashed potato croquettes with the most delicious and interesting dipping sauce ("dirty martini sauce"). Highlight was the sauce. Refreshing and savory, perfect and unique flavor combo with the croquettes. -Wood Fired Bread 10/10 Husband loved this! Something so simple but done so well. Bread was grilled/slightly charred but still soft. The butter that it was served with was unique and delicious. We were told it had onion and paprika mixed in amongst some other spices which gave the butter its slightly smoky flavor. Entrees: -Grilled Caesar 10/10 This was a delicious take on a Caesar salad. Shaved egg on top and candied bacon really added a smoky and umami flavor to the salad. Smoked butter croutons were small but plentiful and added good crunch. Husband enjoyed this a lot! -Mussels 7/10 The broth was delicious and smoky with bits of chorizo and you can taste a hint of the Portuguese white wine. Mussels themselves were decent. I had a few that wouldn't open up but otherwise the dish itself was good. Used some of the beef tartare leftover toast points to dip in the broth. Would be better if the dish came with its own bread for dipping. -Wood Fired Wagyu Ribeye + mushrooms 10/10 Keep in mind this does not look like your typical rib eye steak from steakhouses. The steak is thinner than what you'd expect a ribeye to look like but was incredibly tender and the butter sauce it came with (beurre rouge) was delicate and creamy and was a good compliment. Steak was well seasoned so the creaminess of the sauce was nice. The mushrooms were meaty and very smoky. The smokiness was a bit much for me but Husband loved it! Service was great, very attentive, quick, and friendly. Cocktails were unique and generous. I ordered the menorca martini which is probably not for everyone since it has an anchovy skewered in the glass but I loved it. I love a good dirty martini and this one was balanced nicely. Husband ordered the Jamon Rye and it came with its own smoke show and had a slight hint of savoriness jamon washed rye. I also ended the night with the 24 carrots cocktail - their take on an aperol spritz. I love aperol and it always reminds me of when we were in Spain. I would have liked the drink to have had more of the carrot juice flavor since that's what drew my interest in ordering it but I didn't really taste much of the carrot. Overall, our second try at Flamant was a great experience all around. They have rectified their seasoning issue that I encountered at brunch when they first opened. Everything we tried at dinner was balanced and had great and unique flavors. This is what I expected from the group that owns Rye & Apothecary!

Flamant is easily one of our favorite date nights! The cocktails are unique, well-balanced and the best in the area! As far as food goes, everything is amazing. We are obsessed with the caesar, ribeye and fries. The atmosphere is fun and cozy. The service is always great too!

Went for a birthday dinner and will not be going back for many reasons. 1) Lack of flavor in food 2) Service seemed rush 3) They were going to charge a cake cutting fee for $5 a person For being opened by the Rye and Apothecary team...I'm highly disappointed as those two places are very well known with great service and over the top dishes. We spent a total of $215 for two people with tax and gratuity for 4 appetizers, two entrees and 2 cocktails. I was really hoping that all of the dishes we chose would be packed of flavors and profiles but it sure wasn't for majority of them. We got: Flamant '76 Cocktail ($14) B4 Cocktal ($13) Scallop Crudo ($24) Beef Tartare ($19) Socca Street Bread ($8) Octopus ($19) Mussels ($21) Wood Fired Wagyu Ribeye comes with one side and we opted for fries and upgraded to truffle fries ($41) The only dishes that we liked were the beef tartare and the octopus. Unsure how you mess up mussels and a ribeye. Mussels were made with a Portuguese white wine and chorizo but really the dish had no flavor, no spices and tasted completely bland. The most disappointing dish was the steak. $41 for a steak and came out at room temperature and also with no flavor profile. We make way better steaks at home and can go somewhere else for a cheaper price point and still be 10x better. As for the service, we felt like we were rushed and asked if we were done with dishes. Clearly there's still food and I'm still eating?? I get large parties can be difficult but the way you show service is how it presents your restaurant as a whole. We definitely gave them their most business for the day. If you're not okay with large parties then set a process for it. When food and service are both below for me then I typically will not return and not recommend to people.

Loved my experience! This place is perfect for a date night or girls night and the decor is so perfect I want my house to look like this. Trinity was my bartender and was so accommodating and knowledgeable about the menu. I got her recommendations and loved the food. You can never go wrong with a truffle fry or pasta. The soft serve marg was also a highlight of my night. Will definitely be back!

I took my girlfriend here for brunch for her birthday on Sunday. The brunch is an amazing deal. $40 and it's all you can eat. They bring everything to your table and it's small bite so you can share with your dining companion. The food and the service were fantastic along with the craft made cocktails. We will definitely be back.

The Heirloom Tomato Burrata was okay however, the tomatoes didn't seem ripe and were hard and chewy. The Lobster in a Jar was tasty - on the pricey side if you ask me though... One of my favorite things about this spot is the ambiance.
