This location sucks. I have gone there 3 times, and each time, it has been closed, but the hours say that it is open on their website, on Google, and infact on their store door too! Even 30 minutes before the closing time, they will have chairs up inside the restaurant and the door locked. Rude management will yell from inside that it's closed. I have been to other locations but since this place open until 9:30 i came here for a pick up order and i was so surprised by the attitude! Right when we walked in the lady ruled her eyes! Seriously we are customers and we walked in at 8:45 so they are not closed yet! I would never come back here, if she is not happy with her job she shouldn't be there . The manager should do something. The lady didn't even smile. I just got the food we haven't ate yet but the person who made the food his name is max he was really nice he actually treated us nicely. Do not go to this store. I arrived 11 am as stated on their hours of operation and their open sign was lit, yet when I walked in the place was dirty. I was just looking at the menu not trying to rush them then one of the ladies said they were still closed. I told them I walked in cause 1. Their door was open and 2. Their open sign was lit. I couldn't wait til they were ready to serve cause from the looks of things they needed another hour to open their store properly. If I owned that store I would be very concern about all these reviews complaining about their employees. All 3 of them (2 ladies and the old guy who cooked) already looked like they had a bad day and just wanted to leave. I like Flame Broiler, but I would avoid going to this store altogether. Its very apparent the owner doesn't care and so his employees have the same attitude. I mean, they don't even care to open the store on time. This business is neglected. I was surprised at all the negative comments on this one. I've eaten here a lot and never had an issue. I'm always in an out really fast and my food always tastes good. It is a small store so I always get it to go so I've never used their tables but the little bar with the utensils is always clean and stocked and even though there are only a few employees working the grill/register they are always nice and efficient. I even accidentally dropped my whole bowl outside in the parking lot once and they replaced it for me free of charge. read more

Standard flame broiler food which is good- chicken and rice. Will never go to this location again. The service here sucks something fierce. Normally I can deal with crappy service, I mean u are paid minimum wage to put chicken and rice in a bowl. Went there today, literally stood there for 3 minutes with wife waiting to order. Two employees, one making a bowl, one cooking chicken. Both looked at us multiple times and just keep doing what they were doing. Not even a "be right with u" or acknowledgment we were there. I normally am a big fan of Flame Broiler. I live in the Aliso area and that location I would give 4-5 stars. Because school is here and I have an hour break between my class I decided "why not"? Big mistake. Unfortunately because I am an average white girl, I know VERY minimal Spanish, and Im not mad because they're Mexican and that is their first language Im guessing, but Im mad because Im standing "in line" (Im the only one waiting to order) and the lady behind the cash register and the man at the "grill" are looking at me while talking in Spanish. Hello?! Yo soy aquí. Im not here to just hang out, but rather order my food and leave. After taking my order the man throws the chicken on the grill and brushes it with what looks like a Home Depot painters paint brush... And not the cleanest either. Im a college student obviously with a college student budget, but not only is this cheap food, but cheap quality and cheap service to match it. I have been coming here for years. Sadly to say today was so disappointing. I ordered brown rice with chicken. Specifically asked for my chicken to be well done. Not only did I receive a bowl with 95% rice and 5% chicken.. I also received a bowl with lots of fatty chicken. When I had went up to the cashier to ask if I could please get another bowl with not so much fatty chicken her reponse was not pleasing to the ear. Her response "Well all our chicken is like that. We get it sent to us." Mmmm no sweetheart! 1. You never start a sentence with "well" when speaking to a customer. An you certainly never question the customer. You try to please them. I get it.. It is not a 5star restraunt. At least throw common sense into it. Hope thats not to brutal sounding. read more

Let me first start of by writing that the food is okay...but you will find an occasional bone. Yuck. Customer service over at this location is terrible, every time i either deal with one of the two ladies at the register, i feel like storming out in complete frustration. Also it is gross that the lady serving your food is eating her "Takis" while your food is exposed over where by the onions are. The bathroom was filthy and had a dirty water bucket with a mop propped up against the kitchen sink where you and the employees wash their hands. When my wife went to get ice tea from the dispenser small chunks of black mold fell into her cup, probably from the lines not being cleaned at night. We'll never go back. read more

It is what it is- white rice in a bowl with some meat, veggies and sause. It's not bad nor is it particuarly good. It's rice in a bowl with stuff on top. I liked it. I've eaten at a couple different Flame Broiler type places and this Flame Broiler has by far been the best. My fiance and I eat here rather frequently, it's a great go to meal. The customer service has always been great, we will be returning customers as long as we are in the area. read more

This establishment has very short sighted management that is so busy squeezing pennies that the dollars are walking out the door. Every Flame Broiler I have frequented permits unlimited access to the teriyaki sauce, however this CHEAP establishment will only permit you to receive 4 TINY cups of teriyaki for each order and then refused to provide any more upon request. The place is lacking in cleanliness in the dining area and the employees act as if it is a major inconvenience to wipe the tables for patrons. I will never frequent this establishment again. i've come here a couple of times and the girl who works nights her name is maria has a serious attitude. she is very rude and complacient. last time i came there January 17th. i order a brocoli chicken bowl. it came out wrong and i requested it be made again. my request got a response with an eye roll a check of the reciept and then it was made again. about an hour later i prceeded to get the wrost food poisioning i have ever had. i was actually hostpitlized. i have not doubt in my mind it was done intentionally. do not go to this location ever read more

Just left with my jerky chicken that tasted like rubber and a mix of other chemicals. I am no stranger to flame broiler. In fact I eat it often, but this was one of the absolute worst flame broilers I've ever been to, and eaten from. The guy at the front counter was too busy texting to look up at me while I was standing at counter. They had been open for 20 minutes according to their sign but when he did look up at me, he let me know they wouldn't be open for 10 more minutes. I waited for 10 minutes, went back inside to order a chicken veggie bowl. The punk kid couldn't have acted more irritated. I said thank you, he handed me the receipt with no acknowledgement or eye contact. I waited for my food while he got back on his phone. When they gave me my food to go, I was eager to chow down as I had just finished a workout. I bit into the most disgusting piece of chicken one could eat. It tasted like a mix of rubber and other cleaning chemicals. Maybe because I was the first to order? I just threw the entire thing out after a couple more bites to see if it was just an odd piece. Waste of $10. Save your money. Go to Waba Grill down the street. Cheaper and better. I wouldn't give this disgusting and, most likely, harmful food to my family or myself. read more

Just got done going to this hole in the wall of a place. My initial thought was dark, dingy and noticed the 2 people working there hardly smiled but Hey my daughter was hungry so we ordered. I asked for a chicken mini bowl initially with white rice but right before I paid, told the cashier to change it to Brown rice instead. When she called my order I noticed there was white rice...no big deal... I just went up to the front and asked her to switch it out for Brown. She gave me a total attitude , opened the rice cooker and slammed it shut, threw the bowl in front of the cook and then gave it to me without even making eye contact. I then proceeded to ask her if she was mad or in a bad mood. She didn't seem to care about having a positive attitude. Why is she giving me attitude or getting mad in the first place when I'm not the one who messed up the order? Rude Hispanic older lad(the cashier).
