We spent $67.28 for our meals which included 5 drinks. When I asked for a refill on a drink, the first employee said there are no refills due to Covid policies and they cannot take my cup back over the counter (I understand). Nowhere in the restaurant does it indicate there are no refills on the drinks. The second employee said the same thing regarding the Covid policies. When I asked the employee to fill a clean cup and pour it into my cup, the employee did not have an answer and repeated it was a Covid policy and suggested I purchase more drinks. I was planning on spending about $20 more dollars on dessert but decided against it since I felt I was being "nickeled and dimed." The food was good and the cashier who initially took our order was nice. I was very glad that a Drive-in type of restaurant that makes it's own Freshly Brewed Tea. Yesterday Sunday 4/11/22 and I walked in and the gal was sitting on her laurels, so she finally gets up I ordered an Unsweetened Tea, and she got my money $1.94, then she said "Oh I am sorry we are out of Unsweetened Tea, I said OK, can you give me water, I had to take some medicine, so she gave me the water, and said can you sign this receipt that I may get an Iced Tea later, she said No She Can NOT that she would have to charge me for the water," I said $1.94 for water really she said I am sorry we have too, I said screw you, and walked out with my cup of ice and water. On 9/13/21I placed an order through the drive-thru for 2 Flame Jr Dbl meals with cheese and a Philly cheese sandwich (I reside out of town but work close). When I got home to eat with my family my burger was not what I ordered. It was completely plain (meat and bun only = dry as heck!). I called and spoke to Sandra who apologized and said when I go back to take my receipt and the "meal" would be replaced. She took my name so we can avoid any issues. I'm in town today and decided to claim my replacement meal. I placed my order, drove to the window, explained to the cashier the situation and proving her with my receipt. The cashier closed the window and consulted with the young man making the food. The cashier returns to tell me the meal wouldn't be replaced because 1. Sandra should've never told me that i.e. replacing the meal (even though that is good customer service and for the inconvenience) and 2. They no longer offer the Flame Jr Dbl. I said well its still displayed on the side window facing L St and she said yeah it hasn't been taken down. Ok, well that's false advertisement. The cashier said they could replace the burger or refund my money for the burger. I said I will take my receipt and return the next time I'm in town so I can speak with Sandra. The cashier said No, I talked to the owner/manager and thats what he said. Of course the owner/manager never came to the window to address the situation and he was actually the person making the food. I told the cashier it was an inconvenience and she said well your order was a long time ago. I reiterated I live out of town and currently working from home due to covid. She basically looked at me like she didn't care and said the owner said it can be replaced or refunded. I was annoyed with the lack of the customer service, professionalism and refused to argue about how the situation should be handled (since I've worked in a customer service environment for years and a free meal is nothing compared to having a loyal customer for years to come) that I requested a refund. My refund was $3.14 and I'm pretty sure that was not correct but the cashier did not return my receipt or the refund receipt and then closed the window. Sadly, I do enjoy their food when my order is made correctly but I will not be returning to F&F and will take my money elsewhere where its appreciated. Note- the first team of employees who worked at F&F pre pandemic were AMAZING but this new crew (over the past year) lacks customer service including the so-called owner/manager. My order has been messed up in the past but the older Hispanic lady who now works there has always been so sweet, apologetic and takes responsibility that I continue to return until now. read more

The food is so good. The burger was cooked perfectly, the fries had a lot of flavor. The sauce they give you is so good on your burger. Cant forget about dessert, i got a dipped cone, with the swirl ice cream (chocolate and vanilla). I just have to say it was so creamy, like how ice cream should be. Each one have their each little niche, I have yet to find the one here at Flame N Freeze but I've also been here only 2-3 times. I grew up on burger establishments like this in Delano so they remind me of my high school years, I can't lie either, I love these burgers and fries spots like I love fried chicken and pork chops. They don't skimp on the meat for their burgers, the meat is always juicy and well-seasoned but just make sure you bring your appetite, they are not small, and not even the kid's meal burgers are small. If you are not trying to clog up your arteries, do not come here, I love the food but after eating it you definitely feel your health drop a few points down. One thing that does stand out is their customer service, the few times I've been here are during rush hour and the girls taking the orders do not show any signs of stress. You often see that in fast food establishments that get crazy busy but they are upbeat and calm. The place was recently remodeled and the name changed but I cannot remember from what. The inside is super clean and the menus are modernized utilizing LED TVs, which is what a lot of places have transitioned to with their menu setup. And I cannot forget to mention that the ice for their fountain drinks are pellets, I could order Pepsi's for days just cause of the ice. Everything sounds really good right, well the last time I ordered a double bacon cheeseburger and fries which I took back to work. I was super hungry cause I didn't eat breakfast and ate slightly faster than I normally do. The burger felt more greasy than I've had here, the fries too and about 20 minutes after eating I felt queasy....lets just say I didn't hold down the whole meal I finished. I had the Asada Fries. These are not your usual Asada Fries from Fresco, Super Taco, Dos Tacos etc. These are extremely over priced for the amount you receive. They use a nacho cheese sauce which is not very tasty. Instead of Pico De Gallo, they use a lettuce, tomato mixture, pickled jalapeños, sour cream, maybe some watery guacamole, not sure. I couldn't taste it, only saw a green mixture. The meat is more of a thick steak, similar tasting to a philly cheese steak. It does not go well with the cheese. I went there with my family and cousins after a softball game on a peaceful Sunday. We came in a large group and let me tell you the staff there didn't blink with worry. I ordered last in my group and received my San Joaquin Burger hot and fresh! You can tell it was freshly made and wrapped neatly.
