The eggplant rollintini here is the best I've had. The sauce is amazing. (Kind of reminds me of the macaroni and cheese balls from Cheesecake Factory sauce). They have a nice crunch to them as well. Highly recommend. Cheapest bottle of wine we could find was $65 and it was very good. Ambiance is fancy, very quiet. Would not be able to bring my rowdy family here lol Calamari was also good, sauce had a little spicy kick to it. Servers were able to accommodate us by making our steak for two half medium and half medium rare. Our waiter was kind and personable. Steak was delicious. Broccoli rabe was also good. The mashed potatoes and Caesar salad were just okay. Wish it was better for the price we are paying. Disappointed by the crime brûlée, as it did not have a crunchy shell on top. Just custard with sugar on top. Again, wish it was better for the price we are paying.

We were trying to find a place midway between Danbury and Haverstraw for a dinner with friends and Flames popped up on the radar. Based on the reviews, we thought it was worth a shot. We arrived, dropped our cars with the valet and were promptly seated. We ordered drinks and then bread arrived. We started with a shrimp cocktail, which was pricey but good. We could have probably had two. I ordered the rib eye, which was great. The portion was generous and I took half of it home for the next day! Other sides for the table included brussels sprouts and onion rings, both good. The cheesecake I had for dessert was the lightest and creamiest I'd ever had! Service was nice, the place was lively and we had a wonderful time.

    Owner's response

Review was hidden on google but I'll put it here AWFUL OWNER! Ruined a birthday, got served rancid beef and not at all worth the price. The bread didn't taste good to start off the night before even ordering. Waters were brought out and tasted like pool water. Ordered the t-bone and it tasted completely rancid, told the waiter and when he picked up the plate his noise completely turned up and he made a face from the smell alone. We were told it was just the dry age. The other member of the party ordered the filet medium rare and medium, the filets came out still completely raw in the center. The salmon was completely dry. Everyone in the party felt sick following. Responding to the owners lying comments that he has now deleted. The dining room was nearly empty on a Saturday night at dinner hour. We did not try a free meal and still tipped well after everything. The meal was mostly eaten because of the high prices and not wanting to be disrespectful to the couple paying but the steak was so egregiously bad that something had to be said eventually. Learn how to spell and to take criticism. Also the stuffed clams had a few hard grainy pieces in them. And there are several other comments about the quality of steak and bread. He also has not responded to other reviews claiming him to be an alcoholic who destroyed his family but chose to respond to this and then delete it. I guess this review was more impactful. Will never return.

Absolutely amazing! Came here with my boyfriend for his birthday on a Friday night, and we could not stop praising the good and the service. Every waiter in the restaurant was incredibly attentive and personable. The busboy was great, and also helped us out so much. We got the salad with bacon which was a great starter. My boyfriend got the T-Bone and it was a great size and delicious. I got the Surf and Turf, and was blown away by how phenomenal it was. For dessert, we got the cheesecake and the apple tart, both were great! Again, service was phenomenal, we talked everyone's ear off and the food was amazing. Definitely going back very soon!!!

Chicken Parmigiana was delicious and the calamari with linguine is the best.

Food was delicious, hospitality was great. Wine list is good. Plenty of parking. Great atmosphere to be in.

Does really look pink or bloody for rare?

I am vegetarian and while they have a bunch of veggie appetizers I was disappointed in the complete lack of any vegetarian entree. It's 2026. They have some creative cocktails, GF tried the margarita and liked it enough that she ordered a second. I ordered something with a cheeky name that I believe had vodka and something citrusy/floraly that I also enjoyed. Something kind of strange though, maybe 5-10 minutes after ordering our drinks, another person came over and said "the person who took your drinks didn't get the last 2 so what did you order?" People make mistakes, I get it. Idk how anyone remembers shit anyway but maybe write it down? Either way, it felt strange that someone else came over to say that. It just felt odd. Fortunately our drinks came but we had to flag someone down to order that second margarita later. I ordered the cauliflower and kale soup and the cauliflower fritters mainly because they were 2 of the very limited things I could order but the waiter was a little judge judy (cauliflower soup AND cauliflower fritters?) yes, my guy. The cauliflower and kale soup was under salted which I actually appreciate. I hate when anything is over-salted to the point of drowning out the other flavors. I am impressed by their confidence in the soup to NOT do that but it didn't really stand on its own and was a touch bland. The fritters, on the other hand, were sensational. That roasted beet aioli was delicious and the crispness of the outside of the fritters was a lovely texture. 3/4 of us got our food at least 5 minutes before the last person which is not ideal. Portions were also surprisingly small for the prices.

We also got the tuna tartare, which was just ok. I wish there was a sauce that went with it. The burrata crostinis were also just ok, there wasn't enough burrata and too much fig. My husband got the braised short rib and again that was just okay. We ended with the banana bread pudding which was amazing.

Brisket was also tender and juicy The sausage was spicy but flavorful Crab cakes was decent, it wasn't overly seasoned so you won't have to worry about that. The sauce was kind of lemony, I would'nt recommend the sauce, The buffalo wings was unique, definetly not your average buffalo sauce, I would recommend eating them here and not to go in my opinion Charred broccoli was tasty Roasted potatoes was about what you would expect. But I enjoyed them, Corn bread was meh in my opinion, it could of been more moist, it wasn't dry but it felt like it was close to being dry especially the way it crumbled, but it was good just not great The lobster and shrimp pasta was a thin spaghetti: it wasn't bad but it was decent The Mac and cheese was cheesey a high 9/10 The cake was delicious and moist, ice cream was regular, enjoyed the graham cracker crumbs, and marshmallows as it complimented the flavors

I found myself at Freddy's to celebrate my dad's birthday. He was in the mood for a burger and…read moreafter searching the Westchester area we ultimately landed here. The pics, reviews, and menu all seemed to point towards a yes - so off we went. Freddy's is located within the main commercial hub of Pleasantville. It's not a large restaurant, but holds a decent amount of seating with tasteful and laid-back decor. We were there right at opening at 4:30p, so it wasn't crowded but started filling up as time progressed. The menu is mostly American - arranged by apps, salads, entrees, sides, and desserts. I decided to start with the burrata which was served with diced butternut squash, brown butter, and grilled bread. This was...not what I was expecting. Burrata usually comes as an intact sphere that you cut open to reveal the soft cheese inside. This was already broken, and served in an almost deconstructed way. It honestly looks like a way to cut corners as it was definitely not a whole burrata. That, and the lack of flavor do not make it worth the $17 they charge. My main was better - I ordered the smoked chicken which was a breast on the bone and came with grits, spinach, and honey au jus. This was tasty - the chicken was juicy with crispy skin, and the au jus added a welcome sweetness to the grits and spinach. We opted for dessert because birthday - I chose the carrot cake which was just okay. No nuts, raisins, or noticeable carrots - so, a spice cake? As a side note, we were there during HV Restaurant week, however in lieu of a dedicated menu they offered a prix fixe app/entree/dessert off their menu. It sounded great at face value, but then we were told the portions would be smaller - and for items they couldn't shrink they up-charged if we ordered off the regular menu. IMO, not the best way to do restaurant week - either have a dedicated menu for it or don't participate at all. That being said, we decided to order off the regular menu. Service was good, everyone was friendly and food came out at a good pace. Overall, Freddy's sent me mixed signals - the food wasn't bad, but this isn't a place I would go out of way to try again - it's more of a local spot in my perspective. If circumstances found me here again, though, I wouldn't be mad.

Food just wasn't that good. The table ordered a variety of dishes--mid at best…read more Service was also 2 stars, not friendly at all. Tell my friends to pass or go at your own risk
