I got me a bacon breakfast burrito. It was less than whatever's. The potatoes weren't good & it had little bacon. Also got me a ranch & it was hard. I told the guy (possible) owner if I can get a different ranch cuz mine was hard. He said no it's the same thing. Are you serious. You could have just gave me another ranch. Smh was told bad things about this spot & I wanted to be my own critic & well I won't be coming back here again. I would do half a star if I could on this review. Food & service sucked. read more

First off, when ordering over the phone 2 of the 3 prices had been changed, I told too bad that's the old menu ?? , so I said ok ? I went ahead and ordered got the food home,patty melt was as hard as a rock !! Customer from the cook was horrible! I asked to sample the chili before ordering the chili cheese fries & the cook was like "NO"! Thank god somebody in front of ordered the chili cheese fries and the chili looked watery & had BEANS!!!! I ordered a JR. Cheeseburger combo, the fries were fresh but bland no salt or seasoning. I have been ordering at flames since I was a teenager, roughly about 15-20 years now. The fries are always great, and they have the GOOD ranch. Onion rings are also always good. I have been ordering the chili cheese fries since I was in 7th grade and I'm 35 now. Prices have definitely increased though (prior to the current inflation) which is kind of a bummer. I have never had an issue with the food. Sometimes I try to call and nobody answers or the line is busy. Another issue I've encountered is the drive through- sometimes the person working doesn't have them on so they don't hear you and you're just sitting like wtf. Lol read more

This place has been here since I moved to the neighborhood over twenty years ago. From what I remember its sign used to have a 3D burger sticking out of it back then. I kind of wish they would bring that back but that won't affect this review at all, I swear. I've read through some of the reviews and honestly am baffled by people ordering something that isn't a burger, fries, or breakfast. A place with a menu that has expanded to be this big isn't going to have great offerings all around. If you want a pastrami sandwich you probably should go to The Hat instead. If you wanted to order nachos there's plenty of restaurants that specialize in Mexican food a couple blocks away. The place has a burger on their sign. You probably should order a burger. Anyway, rant aside I'll go through what's worth getting from what I've had recently. *Fries* The fries of Flame's seems to have gone through many different iterations. The fries went from excellent 15 years ago, to awful and mushy just 5 or so years ago, and back to excellent currently. Thank goodness they're crunchy and well-salted again. *Double Cheeseburger* While the fries have been going through a roller coaster of quality control over the years I'm glad that their burgers have remained consistent. It's a healthy (or unhealthy depending on your calorie needs) portion that will definitely satiate most appetites. Nothing really to complain about flavor. *Bacon Cheeseburger* Just read the double cheeseburger review while subtracting a patty and adding slices of bacon. There's many other items I've ordered from here over the years but knowing how the fries have changed over time it's best that I keep this to only what I've had this year. Is this place perfect? Not by any means. Do I think it deserves all the 1 star reviews that I've been reading? Definitely not. However, if you give this place a try please stick to ordering a damn burger. read more

Seriously these people not giving Flame's at least a 4 star rating are being disingenuous! Their burgers a excellent, as are their fries, onion rings and mushrooms! Are they Red Robin? Of course not, but they aren't charging Red Robin prices either. We are satisfied, repeat, customers!!! read more

This place is delicious I love the burger specials when they costed 6$ I would always buy 2 cheeseburgers and with some of their delicious horchata juice. I love their burger it is such a juicy burger. The bacon is delicious and I recommend chili cheese fries with a bacon cheeseburger. read more

Love this place. Great burgers and their Thousand Island dressing/spread is great. Portion sizes are very large and I love all of their burgers. The wet burrito and chicken fajita plate is really good too. Their breakfast burritos are really big and delicious. You can see them grilling while you wait inside and know the food is fresh. Tried to call in an order and the lady that answered the phone was super rude. She answers the phone I tell her what I want then she proceeds to have a conversation with an employee... comes back to me ok what do you want... I tell her again... she starts to talk to the employee again... comes back to me... what was that... I repeat it again and then she goes back to talking to someone else again... I go HELLO?!?! Her response... what can I get you... I hung up... I used to order from here at least once a week... I don't know if it's under new management or ownership but they need to get it together... Have been here several time for the best chicken teriyaki in town. The servings are generous and they come with a salad. But, the pastrami here is divine! Hardly any fat with perfect mustard and pickle combination! Wow what a way to end our 2021 with a delicious meal. To the reviews that say they have to wait. So I go here all the time. I get a plain breakfast burrito. Egg potatoes and cheese and salsa. I have to be to work by a certain time. I had to wait for Bianca to come out the bathroom only to find out prices went up and I had to pay another extra $1 for cheese?!? Where's the Asian guy that I usually see working there. That's crazy. And I had to wait 10 minutes for her to get out the damn bathroom to ring up my order and then be forced to leave without the food I waited for because I bought in just the right amount of money?!? Not expecting to pay $7 for a breakfast burrito with NO MEAT!!! Not coming back. read more

I have been coming here for the longest time and Flame's has been my go to spot. This place has awesome food, its a shame to write a review this low but what i just dealt with was the worst form of customer service and handling an incorrect order i have ever dealt with. I came to the drive through to order where the woman on the other end seemed annoyed. She asked twice what kind of drinks and having to be corrected. After finally getting to open up the order everything was wrong and clearly she charged and gave the wrong order. I called to see how this could be fixed. I asked do i need to bring back the food to which i was told "no". I work at a restaurant have worked take out and understand things happen and mistakes are made which is OKAY we are all human. But NOWHERE DO THEY TELL YOU "Im not giving you a replacement order unless you give me the wrong order back because thats like giving you free food". which once again i had ALREADY ASKED DO I NEED TO BRING THE ORDER BACK. which she just "didn't remember saying that" okay? Rebecca was the most difficult person I have ever had to deal with for a mistake that she had made. I really just wont be coming back for a while which i know doesn't mean much, but if an apathetic woman with star tattoo on her face gives you your food double check it and check your receipt. its a shame because i know the people that work there try their hardest but that was insane how poorly that was handled. read more

We forgot to add Asada Fries to our order when we were at the speaker. The lady at the window told us to drive around the corner and get in line again because she cant add to our order at the window.. When we got back to the speaker to order she tells us to pull to the window so she can take our order. No one was in line. We get to the window and the lady is rude and not apologetic for being rude. I asked for the manager. Her comment was he comes and goes as he pleases. So im posting. And guess what? They messesd up our order on top of it. read more

A friend of mine is a Cerritos local, and this was our second visit. First and foremost, the staff was amazing. The gentleman working the front door was incredibly polite and welcomed us with a smile, even wishing us a great time as we walked in. The two bartenders were outstanding. Unfortunately, I didn't catch both of their names, but their level of customer service was exceptional. They were friendly, attentive, and made us feel genuinely welcome throughout the night. For food, we ordered the lumpia and the pepperoni flatbread pizza. Both were absolutely delicious, and I highly recommend trying them. We also enjoyed a couple of ice-cold beers. I ordered a glass of water as well, and my water was refilled almost immediately every time it was empty--a small detail that really stood out. The DJ kept the atmosphere fun and lively, and we were able to catch the MMA fights on their multiple flat-screen TVs, which made the experience even better. My buddy Jason says this is the best dive bar in Cerritos. After this visit, I'd have to agree. In fact, the customer service we received here was better than what I've experienced at many upscale, "bougie" establishments. The staff did an excellent job throughout the event--friendly, attentive, and impressively fast despite the crowd. I also appreciated that they limited the number of guests, which kept the atmosphere lively without feeling overcrowded. It was nice that this wasn't strictly an adults-only environment, as we were able to bring our child along and still enjoy the experience. The food was good, the service was great, and the overall setup made for an enjoyable afternoon of soccer. We'll definitely be back during football season to catch a few games.

So I wanted to give 5 stars but there are two negatives for me. 1. Service (whether it's walk-in or drive-thru) is slow. 2. Most of their burritos and burgers are dry or lacking in flavor. The POSITIVES however. 1. The fries are made fresh (everything is) but the fries taste THE best. Also, if you order a Large, you will get a HUGE serving. Although the downside to this is that they give you so much, you can't finish it in one sitting and these taste amazing fresh but aren't the best when they get cold. 2. Although I love the food here and have been going here for years, I just realized how run down and unappealing this place has become. The weeds all around the parking lot are almost two feet tall, the building looks used and abused, like it's had dozens of temporary fixes that became permanent unsightly repairs. As I waited forever in the drive through I began to wonder what the cooking area inside looks like If this is how they maintain their appearance on the outside. This place is absolutely terrible. The owner/manager Sean is incredibly racist. I have friends who work there and they've told me that he up charges African American customers. They have also told me he speaks on African American customers after they have left making numerous racist comments towards them.He also owns/manages another business called Fantastics Cafe in Cerritos. So if you are African American I strongly suggest you to stay far away from both places because you never know what they can be doing to the food they are serving you. read more

So we go through the drive thru last night with a large order, get home and we're missing two burgers which are not cheap. Go back with the receipt mind you and he makes us pay for the burgers AGAIN because he couldn't confirm not giving us the two burgers. Upon trying to redeem the dining credit via Toast Local app, the beer was denied several times. I asked if my beer could be comped, and told she couldn't. She should have, because it was her mistake, but she did not. I then asked if perhaps the promo isn't valid for beer, and she said that might be the case. So, I decided to order a $5 carne asada taco. Carne asada taco- Tough, old, not hot. The carne asada taco was a terrible excuse for a street taco. Not even worth half the $5 price tag. No bueno. Upon redeeming the promo via Toast Local app for my taco, I was again met with several denials. Porque? What can I redeem the promo on? The employee again explained she was new, and unaccustomed to the birthday redemption. She then took pics of my Toast Local account number & QR code. Paying the $5 plus tax, I was ready to be on my way. Second year, I'm out. Again, I had issues redeeming my birthday month promo, and I've had my fill of Alas Toxicas. I should've been comped for the pint of Blue Moon, seeing how it was no fault of my own the employee didn't know how to input things. It's a very veggie forward pizza, which I was fine with. I was full after two slices. I thought his pizza would be super heavy, but is was not! The base was chili that tasted a LOT like Tommy's, so we were happy with it. There is a layer of cheddar cheese, some pastrami, and lots of pickles. I picked up on the chili flavor more than anything. Lunch was $40 for the two pizzas, a beer, and an iced tea. If we lived closer I am sure we would have them again, but it wasn't great enough to make a trip out to Cerritos again.

The best thing we had from here was the fried zucchini. Everyone was so disappointed with the new flavors, that we had SO much of the garlic bread left and it only got eaten after I'd toasted, seasoned, and added cheese to it. Would I come back? Not sure. Maybe if I'm in the area, and craving some good fried zucchini, but to make a 30+ minute drive out here...I don't think so.
