I took my team here for lunch, and nearly everyone cleaned their plates. Our waiter, Sean, was an absolute gem. Incredibly kind, professional, attentive, and gentlemanly! I can't recall when I last had such a great waiter. The hostess, who I think was actually the manager, caused some confusion for two members of our party who arrived later than the rest of us. They asked her about our party, and she told them she hadn't sat a party of five that afternoon. Well, the two people explained that since they had arrived, NOW the party had reached five members, but before she would have only sat three people. She did not help them find us but instead instructed them to look around the dining room if it pleased them. What? This is the lady who sat us and gave us five menus not five minutes earlier. We all laughed about it when they found us, and later the same lady came over to ask us how our meals were. She probably promptly forgot about us again, but that's okay! We had Sean. I ordered the chicken pesto panini. It was very well proportioned as far as meat, bread, and cheese go. I could have used some more actual pesto. It had just enough that the sandwich wasn't dry but not enough for there to be the amount of flavor I was looking for. I had to add a few sprinkles of salt to amp up the flavor as well. After that, it was good. I wouldn't mind eating it again. One of my coworkers ordered a salad, which looked very green and delicious. No complaints of wilted lettuce. Another had a burger, which, despite being piled very high, didn't make as much of a mess as we'd thought! The interior is pretty nice. It reminded me of a Bonefish (or a "poor man's" Fleming's). Definitely nicer than, say, a sports bar. I found the lunch prices reasonable. Most things were around $12, with some salads and sandwiches going to $15. Entrees were more expensive. For five lunches (no apps, desserts, or drinks besides water), the bill came to $65 plus tip, which I think is acceptable. I will likely return here, and next time, I'm having WAFFLES! read more

Nice restaurant much better than I expected, by the looks from the outside. It was not chain like at all. For Florida, it was pretty fancy. We wore long pants. Had a big group and were seated on time and had great service. The table side guacamole was a fun treat, though my favorite part of the meal was my ribeye steak. It was perfect. Service terrible, prices higher. I noticed that the cuts of meat these past 6 months are getting worse and worse. Now the service has deteriorated as well. 5 weeks ago I sat at the bar for 14 minutes without a server even acknowledging me so I left. I mentioned this to the Manager on the way out. Today the same thing happened. The staff do not understand what "service" means so again I left. Once again, the very same manager was there so I explained that the staff seems to run around everywhere except serve the customer so what exactly are they doing. The bar top was a mess and dirty, the bartender/server seemed incapable of delivering timely service and interacting with customers. I suggest you avoid this place. Disappointing experience. Drink was made wrong, then rang me up for $116 for a steak and two drinks. When I pointed out the error it took 20 minutes to correct and no sign of a manager at any point. On a REALLY slow night for them. Hate to stop going to this local place because the food is always good, and it was again tonight, but management really handled this poorly. read more

Holy cow, the table side guacamole did not disappoint! So delicious!!!! I could just sit and eat that for dinner and be happy! This place is very busy. Even with a reservation on Saturday night, we still had to wait about 10 minutes while they could find a table and clean it for us. The red sangria is yummy. I wish I would have tried the white because I think the menu said it was pineapple. Their burgers are very flavorful. The Flamestone Chicken was tasty. It's a juicy chicken breast smothered in artichokes, sun dried tomatoes, spinach, and feta. The mashed potatoes it came with were really dense but also good. I was initially excited about visiting this restaurant. When I review restaurants, I do not just review about food, but also cleanliness, service, and management. I made a reservation on OpenTable.com on Saturday 9/4 for Labor Day (9/6) which also happened to be my wedding anniversary, after checking reviews and menus as I normally do. This included visiting the website and doing my due diligence. I even checked how long it was going to take to drive from home. I received the confirmation e-mail from OpenTable, and even got their "Hey, let the restaurant know you're still coming" e-mail and text message. Here's where it goes south... I went to check the travel time as it got close to the original leave time I had calculated. A quick visit to the website to grab the address to put into Google maps and a popup appeared stating that the restaurant was closed for Labor Day. Thinking (and hoping that this restaurant didn't just screw up my wedding anniversary dinner) that it may have been the other location, I went to my desktop computer to check the website to ensure. Of course, par with my luck and to my horror, the popup was there and I was left scrambling to find a new dinner reservation at the extreme last minute. If you're going to be closed for a holiday, and you know well in advance, and you continue to use a third party reservation site, please MANAGE your restaurant correctly and make your schedule changes in enough time to not completely throw your customer's plans into chaos. Heard so much of this place's brunch finally got to try it out today. The bottless mimosa/bloody mary for $13.99 is real. And the great thing about it is that you can switch at any time! They have a self serve table with all the stuff such as candied bacon to add in your bloody mary, all kinds of infused vodka and different kind of juices for mimosa. That's total worth going. The atmosphere is dark, intimate, and nice too. I would consider going on a nice date there fo dinner. The food is not bad but not amazed by it. The steak skirllet is tasty but the bottle is full of sliced potatoes, and the french toast is a bit on the sweet side. My only disappointment was that they charged $5 for a latte and the 2nd shot of espresso is extra.. and mind you it's the smallest cup for iced coffee i've seen. Def not worth it.. read more

Whenever I come to town on business, this place is a must stop! The other night my wife and I, and a colleague had a wonderful meal. The food was exceptional...it tasted great, the chef took the time to make sure it presented well, and everyone was very accommodating to requests. Besides the server going out of his way to he there, the manager on duty made it a point to stop by several times to check on things, and also gave a hand in serving. This Team executes well, and their service to you will reflect that. Worth every cent we spent on the meal, and the seafood we ate was better than some seafood we drove an hour away to sample. Third time is not the charm. First visit was dine in. We ordered pizza, calamari, tuna, burger. Calamari and pizza were great. The other items were not worth the price. Our server was wonderful. It is about 3.5 stars restaurant. Since no half stars 4 stars is given. This restaurant is very far from New Tampa. If I have to make a trip to here, I probably will not. Since I am on a assignment to the area, I decided to knock the book mark I have. I have order the wood planks salmon. Is is grilled salmon with some spice on it. If they know how to make the edge crispy will be good. The side are chopped Brussels Sprouts and mash sweet potatoes. I don't like the the stir fry Brussels Sprouts that much. I prefer it to cut in half and grilled in extra virgin olive oil. Because stir fry with chopped up Brussels sprouts taste like stir fry cabbage which did not bring out the goodness of this type of veggies. The sweet potatoes is good. Service is attentive but need a bit more attention to the customers since it is lunch time. I live out of the area, but whenever I am in town to visit family, this is one of my go-tos. The food is amazing, and the cocktails are great. It's a little on the pricier side, but the food is never disappointing. Some of my favorite things here: -The Flamestone 21 cocktail is a fantastic, smoky (literally!) take on the bourbon old fashioned. I've seen the gimmick of capturing smoke in a glass and preparing it tableside elsewhere, but this was the first place I experienced it years ago. -Flamestone Salad (with your choice of meat, I prefer rare steak) is a delectable mix of greens with sweet cranberries and walnuts and that kick of Bleu cheese. You can't go wrong with this one. It all just plays so well together. Guacamole prepared tableside. This ensures freshness, a key ingredient for guac. What makes this one slightly different from most places is that they use jalapenos instead of cumin. Different, but delicious. All together, the food and ambience is great. It's a classy, upscale casual joint. read more

Had a really nice dinner with my husband a few weeks ago at Flamestone in Odessa. After some initial confusion at the host/hostess stand and fumbling around trying to get us seated, the rest of the night was great. My husband had a grouper sandwich that was hot and crispy and I had a shrimp and scallop dish with fettuccini that was delicious. Nice ambiance and not too pricey. We went here for our anniversary dinner and was not disappointed. We started with the spinach dip that was cheesy deliciousness. I got the Chef special which was Blackberry Pinot noir reduction over sea scallops, white cheddar polenta,spinach and mint. I have never had that flavor combo before and it was an explosion. My husband got the prime rib sandwich which he said that the meat was so tender and the au jus was a great accompaniment. The fries were crispy. The server was very attentive and even took our photo. So, ordered through Uber Eats but it's highly unlikely that anyone will see the write I left there. Ordered the Chicken Flamestone, substitute potatoes for creamed spinach. What did I get? Potatoes and 1/2 an ear of corn (which I do not like...at all). The restaurant didn't bother calling advising they can't substitute... Also order the Prime Rib sandwhich..more bread than meat, sea salt fries were cold, au jus...ice cold. We live across the street and down one block from the restaurant, you'd think it would be hot...nope!! For $78.00+ for dinner, a sandwich and 2 desserts...I could have fed a small village from McDonalds and the food would have been better. So disappointed. read more

A nice place for dinner or brunch! We came for my moms birthday in November and had a pretty good meal. My mom had the skirt steak cooked medium well and it was perfectly cooked and tasted fantastic! My husbands meatloaf was pretty tasty as well. I had the steak flatbread and have to say that i was truly disappointed and it was flavorless. So much potential too. I asked the waiter to please take it away and he graciously did. But other than that the meal and ambiance were good. I then went for brunch to check out the bloody Mary and mimosa bar and totally worth the 13.90! Especially the candied bacon for the bloody's. The bar had all the fixings you could ask for! The filet Benedict was soft and flavorful. The crabcake Benedict lacked a bit of flavor but was still tasty. Will definitely be back read more

On Sunday, April 28, I made an online order for my son. This place has great reviews and he loves steak. I ordered the Porterhouse steak(medium rare), double mash with fries and the mushroom medley. He received a text his order has been received n they'll text when it's ready. 40 minutes go by with no text to pick up. I told him to go and check. It was sitting. His Porterhouse Steak was so Rare it was Mooing!! He said the best was his soggy fries! We went to this eatery on the eve of Valentine's Day to beat the usual Tampa Bay crowd & this restaurant's (& virtually all casual/fine dining establishments) "Special Holiday Menu"...meaning limited offerings at inflated prices. We had $30 worth of freebies in my wallet, i.e. $10 coupon emailed to me for being a e-club member (anniversary) & $20 worth of credit from buying their gift cards at Costco's ($100 value for $79.95). Our appetizer, Macaroni n' Cheese w/ large chunks of Crab sprinkled on top, was awesome. My wife's Scallops & Shrimp Linguine was typically top drawer, & my Flamestone salad w/ chunks of Filet Mignon was huge & delicious. We finished off our starter & brought half of our entrées home. Our dishes as well as everything I saw carried by our table looked incredible. Presentation has become a focal point & it shows through in every dish. Our waiter, Chris, was most engaging, cordial, attentive, & efficient. Contrary to most of our old favorite pre-pandemic haunts this place has improved both the quality & presentation of its food. Places like this that feel I don't deserve a table, but instead are "offered" to sit at the bar, a community table high-chair like a child, or some godforsaken rear grill bar or whatever the hell it is can go to hell.
