Another buffet review. 3rd one we've gone to in a week's time. Second time at a Flaming Buffet, 1st time at this Chino location. The picture of short ribs is very misleading bc there were NO short ribs at the Whittier location nor this one!! I'm glad I know now for sure that Flaming Buffets don't serve short ribs. [I'm trying to see if there is another buffet that can match Asia Buffet in Lake Forest] However, if you love seafood then this place is definitely for you! My sweetheart and I had early dinner here. The hubby sure knows how to make my heart happy by spoiling me w food :) Thank you bebi ko!! I did enjoy the hibachi steak grill. Got 3 thin steaks w jalapeños and all sauces. It was very flavorful. Hubby says the sushi is good as well as the mussels. They had ice cream in a cup which was good too! I enjoyed the food here, despite there being a prodigious amount of seafood and the fact that there were no short ribs. Service here stands out bc our server was charming and smiling everytime she refilled our drinks and collected dirty plates. I would've given 4 stars since they don't serve what I was mainly looking for (the food was very good, overall), but then the server's pleasant smile was very uplifting and that's enough to add 1 more star, rating this place 5 stars.

Very affordable and decent buffet when you're in a pinch, don't want to cook, and are hungry. Even on weekdays, they serve sashimi, grilled meats and noodle to your liking, and variety of food items. I love their cocktail shrimp and their crab legs. Sashimi are fresh, sushi is decent, and seafood is not bad. Wait staff are friendly and they help clear your table after every plate you clear. They'll also check in on your party once a in a while to get refill for beverages. The ambiance is casual, they can easily accommodate larger party as well.

I love the service here and honestly this location is underrated and super legit! We go to this buffet whenever we have all the cravings! It's always packed here too. I always bring my own Tabasco sauce though. They have cold crab legs. Don't expect too much it's basic for buffet but I like it here.

Had dinner with my sweetheart. Not crowded, quiet and relaxing. Warm welcome and super good service. Learned a couple of chinese words from our server. Ni hao ma, xeixei for how are you and thank you. Food was good. Went for my crabs and shrimps as usual. Mushrooms was so delicious. Had fresh pineapples and papayas after and finish with cookies and cakes. Nice enjoyable dining experience.

AYCE favorite seafood Buffett! Great price and love the teppan mangolian food option included in the price. I loved all the different shrimp options. Garlic shrimp, coconut shrimp, deep fried shrimp. Shrimp with cocktail sauce and crab legs. Lots of side and all Chinese dishes are basically available. My favorite garlic and onion friend shrimps! Dinner For 2 $45 can't beat it!

This buffet is located in the Chino Promenade. It was a treat from cousin from Chino and I was so delighted to see fried crabs. Very busy on a Friday night but got seated at table for 6. We were famished and so we head straight to the buffet line. Got a plateful of crabs and another plate for my other dishes. All dishes are flavorful. Servers are constantly picking up empty plates and sanitizing tables after customers leave.

(Not sure if he's the manager now or a different person, but every server here is polite and efficient). We get the kickin combo #1, kickin style, mild with shrimp and mussels; fried oysters; garlic noodles. I feel like the sausages at this location are bigger compared to CH. Food comes out reasonably fast. Restrooms are always clean. There are sinks outside to wash your hands as well.

First time visiting this seafood boil spot and I'll be honest I was pretty skeptical. Typically I…read morevisit seafood boil places that aren't connected to a chain , and are standalone establishments. This place has only inside seating (about 30-40 tables roughly , with 10-15ish of them being booths). I would have preferred and option for outside seating , but this spot didn't have that. Staff is friendly and very attentive. We were seated almost as soon as we walked in , this was on a Saturday around 3:00pm. Menu was simple to read and provided many different options for however you wanted your boil without any confusion. Menu options were fairly priced , I'd say. Shrimp was $19.99 per pound and there were options for head on or head off (additional $2). For the snow crab, it's always market price and that day it was on the pricier side of $51 per pound (ouch) , but makes sense. We didn't get any other types of seafood but there were bundles that are offered with smaller seafood types (mussels, crawfish, shrimp and clams (I think), lol. The staff provided bibs, gloves and necessary tools for crab cutting. Food: we purchased fries as an appetizer and they were freaking delicious ! Hands down, the best fries I've had in a long time . I pretty much ate the whole basket smh, before my boil even got to me. I believe they use the mild Cajun spice for the fries and also they are crispy and soft , providing fry lovers with something to talk about for sure. And also not that expensive and a huge portion served for $7 (this a deal for deals). For my boil I ate the shrimp , added corn , potatoes and andouille sausage, with Cajun spicy flavor. I had no complaints , the flavor was there and complimented my purchased food items very well. My daughter opted for all the flavors , as she doesn't like spicy and it also tasted great with her shrimp , crab and corn. No complaints there. Entertainment : the tartar btw does have several tvs around , and also music is up to date playing hits from 90's and up. It was a little too loud , as you had to pretty much talk over the music to hear whomever from across the table, but again, I like to choose outside seating to avoid this lol. Bathroom is clean and shared , with individual restrooms with doors (no stalls). Parking: lot is connected with other establishments and there were plenty of spaces to park. I personally had a good experience , however if others don't, I can understand because I did witness a few folks who were getting seated after us and it did take a while for staff to get to them, so organization/communication would be better with that, but that's about it.

Food was fine, but the service needs a lot of work…read more It was our first time coming here, so I had no idea how anything worked. When we first arrived, the front was completely disorganized, and there were no lines at all. People were just crowding around the hostess table, so I had no idea how to add my name to the waitlist. There were no signs that showed where the line starts, and no line was being formed at all. The hostess kept having to walk people to their table, so it was nearly impossible to grab her attention. When I did manage to do so, she was very rude and prioritized other people before us. She obviously saw us come in before other people, but ignored that fact and just added other people to the waitlist first. Ridiculous. Their waitlist system is through Yelp, which sends you a text when your table is ready. Based on the app, it said that our table wouldn't be ready for about 1.5 hours, so we decided to walk around the outlet in the meantime. After nearly 1.5 hours, I saw that we were 2nd in line and decided to have our family walk back to the restaurant. While we were waiting outside for me to receive the text, we heard the host call my name and say that our table was ready. We met with him, and I said that it was odd since I hadn't received the text yet. He said, "Oh no, the hostess told me about you guys. You said that your phone was dead, so you'd hang around the restaurant and wait for us to call your name." No. We never said that. They have us confused with a different party. This means that if I hadn't checked the waitlist regularly and had just waited for that text, it never would've come, and we never would've gotten seated. What a messy system. Also, I've never been to a seafood boil restaurant where we have to ask for the bibs. Normally, they're given to us right when we're seated, so it was weird. We noticed other people were given bibs right when they're seated, so we're not sure why this happened. Other Kickin' Crab locations also give you an entire bottle of ketchup, whereas this place only gives small plastic cups. Weird. I think the employees and other customers would agree with me when I say that the entire place is completely disorganized because multiple orders around us were being messed up. The table to our left was missing its piece of corn and sausage in its bag of shrimp, while the table to our right was missing crawfish in their bag. The workers were obviously trying their best to straighten things out, but it didn't seem to be working. The menu is consistent with their other locations, but the market prices are a bit higher than what we're used to. Compared to the location that we always go to, this place offers bigger frozen crawfish, but the bags were mainly just the claws, so it seemed like a big ripoff. * Cajun Fries: 8/10 - nice cook, but there was only cajun seasoning on the top * Shrimp (Head-On): 9/10 - good flavor * Crawfish (Frozen): 6/10 - big crawfish, but the bag was mostly just claws and not enough garlic The place is located at the Shoppes of Chino Hills outlet, so parking is relatively easy. After being seated, the servers were nice, but it was difficult to enjoy the experience because of everything that had already happened. Overall, the service was a huge letdown, and we did not feel comfortable eating here. Places like this are why tipping is optional. The workers at the Kickin' Crab location we usually go to are way more laidback and friendlier, yet still maintain impeccable service. Would not return.
