I am giving 2 stars only because they had a good buffet spread but apart from that there is nothing good I can talk about the buffet. We as a family went there for buffet as other preferred restaurants in the locality, late noon, were getting closed. It was OK, I found the best time to go is Friday dinner time. The food moves faster, much fresher. They only have snow crab legs on Friday night. It is typical Chinese buffet. Today was not like any other time I go to the flaming buffet restaurant. I was enjoying a meal with my wife and through out the course of us being there. There were different people who came by our table and made sure we got refills on our drinks and took away plates we were finished with. The service was slower due to the wife and I going doing lunch rush. However, this particular waitress who only came by once and drop a drink and my plates twice that she was taking away. Asked for a tip and stood next to me while I decided how much I was going to tip her for nearly 5 minutes. I was taken back by the boldness she had to ask for a tip . At first I told her I did not have cash then she insisted that I write it on the crumbled up receipt that was the customer copy and not the merchant copy. Food wasn't fresh. They do not refresh food often. I had to ask them few times to refill several items. I felt like they didn't want to refill unless someone ask them too. Most of the people feel embarrassed asking to refill items they would actually want to eat. Terrible flavors too. Very disappointed compared to other Chinese buffets. read more

Not a good buffet choice. The service was not attentive and the food was cold and flavorless. Typically at a buffet, if one thing doesn't taste quite right you have many options of choosing something else with higher hopes, but everything seemed cold, flavorless and just gross. Ive never really had a disappointing buffet experience up to this point, so the price of the food and the experience really threw me off. Rude people work here..they have a lot of options but the one in garland is better. I just come here bc it's close to my job and the food is not the best. Plus we have the FiveStars app and the main guy at the front kept grilling me on how I got the points and me and my friend go I often. We ate here regularly until we moved away 2 years ago. The food and the service were top notch. Went back yesterday and didn't recognize anyone. They must have changed hands. The food was not good. All chicken dishes tasted like they were old and reheated. Even the rice was just so so. Service was terrible. Server brought drinks and disappeared. We never saw her again. After waiting for our check to no avail we headed for the cashier. Another server chased us down with the check. This place is horrible! If your looking for a late night Chinese buffet this is NOT the place! No more fresh food comes out during the last hour. No hibachi and no sushi. There is no warning about this either. They let you think your getting a full dinner buffet and then don't. Then they wanna charge full dinner price. Guy at Register is sooo rude. Won't hesitate to call cops on you. Waitresses seem like your a bother to them. 20 min into "dinner" they started clearing out a row of food limiting the already short options even more. We went for dinner last night and it was SO good, we went back for take out tonight! The sushi chef is superb! I tried several different varieties and all were fresh, fresh, fresh and delicious. Together we tried the battered shrimp, peel and eat shrimp, fresh noodles, green beans, orange chicken, sweet and sour chicken, chicken sticks, broccoli beef and broccoli chicken and their delectable, fresh (I think it was fresh) baked salmon. Almond cookies were fresh and delicious. I'd take a pass on the cream puffs but my husband liked them. Fresh fruit and red stuff on bananas while not as sweet as I like my desserts were a refreshing end to a great meal. Very nice, clean surroundings and very pleasant, helpful staff. read more

Not bad for lunch at $7.75, and a water. Friendly staff and a huge selection. Lots of really fresh fruit and a decent salad bar with standard offerings. The sushi was low quality, I would avoid that. Did not do the Hibachi. Rice and noodle offerings, decent dumplings, the egg rolls were tough, fabulous green beans, lots of broccoli and protein dishes that we tasty, I avoided anything seafood - again low quality, if I was in the area I would probably visit again. Very clean and lots of offerings but I went at 11 when they had just opened. There was a sausage, pepper and onion dish I did not care for at all, I ate the peppers and onions and left the sausage. I love the fresh food on the buffet at Flaming Buffet. There was a Golden Corral located on Plano Road in Richardson near the intersection of Campbell road. In This part of town there is NO Good quality chinese/asian buffet; It would be great if Flaming Buffet could Open a location here. The staff is fast and efficient. It looked clean inside. That was the good part. The fried food is standard Chinese buffet fare. The fresh seafood looked sketch. I got a half plate of crawfish and discarded every one because it looked gray. I discarded the salmon sushi, which looked dry and pale pink. The fresh oysters, well, I probably shouldn't have sampled one so I'll be nervously awaiting the effects from consuming sketch fresh seafood at a sketch Chinese buffet. First time. I eat at a Chinese Buffet once a week - easy for me to eat healthy for $10 - as offers more substance in veggie options than a salad (lettuce blends). The pattern is similar to most buffets. Has the honey chicken (weird off pineapple taste), spicy shrimp, & jalepeno pork (breading was soft underdone) options that most don't. All 3 are average at best. Place is very clean (it's new) and service is fine. It's a buffet, dirty plate busing & drinks is buffet service IMO. They do that just fine. They do have Hibachi & Sushi bar options. I didn't try either - I typically don't like buffet sushi - so I can't say how that is. read more

My husband and I have been here many times, the food is usually okay, but today was the first time we came on a weekday and for some reason the food is extremely below par, it looks like it's been sitting out at day it's disgusting. We stopped in tonight to try them out and was very impressed! All the food was fresh and hot. The waitresses polite and friendly. The place was clean and well decorated. The shrimp, along with oysters and mussels on the half shell tasted great and were fresh. The salad bar had all fresh crisp lettuce. Probably one of the best chinese buffets around. Always a crowd. Hot food. They are always bringing out new food. This used to be a Mr.Gattis pizza place. Great fish and great soup. The sesame chicken is delicious. I highly recommend the pineapple chicken. You wont be dissapointed. read more
