Of you are looking for middle-of-the-road Chinese food, this is the place in Dallas. The buffet is not expensive ($10.49), the place is clean, and the staff efficient. You can have hibachi cooked meat, chicken, and vegetables cooked to order, reasonable sushi, fresh oysters on the half-shell, and all the other usual suspects on a Chinese buffet, like sweet and sour chicken, sesame chicken, teriyaki chicken, beef and broccoli, etc. Not outstanding taste, but it is what to expect in a place like this. This place was the best I've had in years! I went there last night with my husband. First, we couldn't decide on what to eat then thought we'd try a Chinese buffet because we haven't been to one in a while. Every time we try a new buffet, we're actually really disappointed overall, however this place was exceptional! Firstly, the location is hard to miss. It's in the middle of the shopping center and has the biggest, brightest signs. The interior is decorated very nicely too. The place is huge and bright with lots of lights!! The TV's we're on very low and the music playing in the background was great. We walked in and were immediately greeted and seated. When seated, our drink orders were taken and brought out within seconds! When we came in, there was only one other couple inside this huge place. It was about 9ish, but within 30 minutes, the entire place was packed! I noted that every employee was always greeting, smiling, and staying busy. The place was spotless! So clean! I started with a salad, which was pretty delicious given its a chinese buffet, then worked my way into all other items. The food was fresh, good quality, and oh so yummy!!! We couldn't stop eating! Our waiter was Brian and hands down to the best customer service I've received in a while! Drink refills came when we were only halfway done with our current drinks! I asked if they had any ketchup and instead of him just redirecting me to the bar, he said "Yes, we do. Ill bring it". I saw him walk in the food area and pour me ketchup in a little container. The buffet was only $9.99 and drinks 1.99. For the food and service we received, this was a bargain! If you're thinking about going, don't think twice! Spoiled food. The odor was ridiculous, the shrimp and chicken should be avoided at all cost. The lettuce is not real & neither is the rice. They claim no msg but the tingling tongue definitely says different. I gave it a 1 because gross and unedible is not an option. I will be reporting this restaurant. You never see those that open these awful places dining there. The rib most definitely wasn't beef nor pork! It's at best canned seafood, and other scientifically nurtured/created items. We've been in texas for about 6 months now and going to a chinese buffet isnt an every other weekend event since it's not the healthiest. So when we first moved here we tried a chinese buffet that was closer to us (Lin's) and a couple months later, we tried New New. Even though New New was better than Lin's, it still wasn't what we were used to. Then we came across Flaming and it was awsome! We came in around 7:45pm (on a Sunday) and the food was fresh and not overcooked as if it had been sitting there all day. The service was friendly and we never had to go play hide and seek just to get more to drink. And the price... cheap!!! So would we go again?? Definitely! read more

Coming from a picky Chinese food person, Flaming buffet had some excellent options on their buffet. Whether you want Chinese food, sushi, or fresh seafood... They always have DELICIOUS options. Whenever my family wants Chinese food now, this is the only place we go. They have some of the best cocktail shrimp in sauce, and even half shell Oyster (FRESH)!!#! I'm amazed at the quality they provide for such an economical price. Lunch buffets go in till 3:30 p.m. and they are $7.99 for adults. I just ate there today for the umpteenth time. I give this place zero stars of I could...not because their food was horrible, but because apparently "kid prices" don't apply if your child is tall?!?! I was told my daughter would have to adult buffet prices because she is tall! this is the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard! they have fine print under the price list that states due to height and size some children will be charged as an adult. Got a coupon in the mail for this recently-opened restaurant. I'm a vegetarian, and I know these Chinese-style buffets usually don't have a lot of veggie dishes, so I even went in to check it out the day before I was going to eat there. They have a guy who does nothing but make sushi, and I love the deep-fried kind with the beautiful squiggles on top. He had made several of those, but they all had fish or other seafood in them, which I'm also allergic to. I asked him whether they could make that style but vegetarian, without crab or fish, and he said yes. When I came back the next day, a different sushi guy was there. I asked him for the type of deep-fried sushi I wanted, pointing to the type, but explaining I wanted veggie only, such as with the avocado that was sitting there that he had used in other sushi. He obviously was having trouble understanding my English, but he said, "Sure. Come back in 5 minutes." When I came back, he had instead made a skimpy rice roll with some indistinguishable single thing in it. I tried to explain what I wanted, pointing to it, but he couldn't understand. So I went and got the manager, the only one in the entire restaurant who spoke decent English. She told him what I wanted, and he said he could do it. But then she told me they would have to charge me extra as if it were an ENTREE off the menu, in addition to the buffet charge! For a sushi with just vegetables, obviously less expensive than seafood! They have a guy standing there making sushi to order, and he couldn't make me that without her charging me extra???? The "manager" was very rude, saying that her boss-- who, of course, was not there to be consulted-- wouldn't let him make the sushi I wanted without charging me extra. Nearly all the dishes they offer are either chicken or seafood or plain noodles. There was even only one beef dish. Even their "fried rice" was just white rice with some tiny frozen vegetables thrown in. I didn't want a salad bar or a grill to order, and I'm not a green bean person (they're usually undercooked), so I had to be content with fried okra (cold and mushy) and broccoli I picked out from the broccoli beef dish. At an Asian food buffet. No tofu dishes. Not even any stir-fried vegetables without chicken or beef. One other thing that really turned me off was when I got the bill. They gave me the discount from the coupon, but they didn't list the discounted price on the bill. Instead, they charged tax on the original, FULL price of the lunch, which is probably illegal. It wasn't the few cents difference; it was the principle of the thing. When I pointed it out to the cashier, who was the same "manager" who had wanted to charge me extra for the sushi, she again blamed her boss and said there was nothing she could do about it. She finally got out her own calculator and admitted I was right and, without apology, gave me back the difference. Not a very good first impression. Needless to say, I won't be back. They were packed, and obviously cater to the non-vegetarian masses at the trough, but they nevertheless displayed a lack of professionalism and were totally unaccommodating. read more

When I got my to-go plate, what seemed to look like the manager, put it on the scale, waited a few seconds, "OPENED MY PLATE", then manually typed $10.00 in the register. Three things wrong with this scenario; 1) How dare you open my plate to see what it contains. 2) How dare you manually charge me and not abide by the scale. 3) He also asked me if I wanted a drink; I responded, "No, water is fine." He then said that "Oh, the water is no good here." So one could assume that the water here is not safe to drink, or that you guys are a bunch of scammers trying to nickel and dime customers. This place is the standard super giant Chinese buffet you can order off of a foreign website add water and and a bunch of migrants then deploy in any shopping center. Came here for lunch, place was very clean, had plenty of questionable sushi and a nice hibachi grill. I usually stick the fresh and non fried items along with fruits for dessert and their is plenty. So everything is as good as you would expect from this environment and 7.50. If your expecting anything different from any other Chinese feeding trough, your not going to like it here (haters). This is definitely the WORST buffet ever. We weren't there 10 mins before seeing a huge roach!! The manager said that there are always going to be bugs just as long as it isn't on the food. Wow! We were a large group and we're getting gifts from the car and 2 staff members chased us down thinking we were trying to dine and dash.
