We were there Sunday, and after waiting 45 minutes for 2 burgers and 1 fish and chips, were told "another 15 minutes" as they walked out with a tray full of food for the table next to us (who came in 30 minutes after us) excuse? "There is only one guy in the kitchen" Well. Don't serve food or at least tell the people that order that it may be a while for food. Having 3 people working a bar/food service/kitchen is inexcusable. Shame on the owners for throwing their staff under the bus on a busy Sunday (40 people in the restaurant) Shame on the male bartender for acting like it was our fault. I saw a lot of young people, or even kids with their parents, playing video games and eating good food. And I want to see that in my town. Food and drinks are first rate. By far the best Manhattans I have ever had. Our table shared several Apps. Bacon Plate my favorite. Great Burger and Chicken Sandwich. They had just newly opened and we were impressed by the service and speed, especially as it was a full house. We will return for food and Pac-Man . read more

This place is really cool!! Went for the first time this past weekend and I must say, was not disappointed! Let's start with the whole arcade and awesome 80s-90s feel. There aren't a lot of places that do this and they have the classic arcade games there! The food is good! We started with the chicharrones, which were probably some of the best I've had! Sooo airy, crispy and almost melts in your mouth. Flavor was awesome! Could honestly eat it all day. Then had one of their burgers, which was also good. They use organic meat and make basically all the sauces and everything on site. No prepackaged stuff! Yay! If you're down on the cape, or even if you're not. We had a really great experience here 2 or 3 years ago and were excited to return. I wish we had read some other reviews before going back for dinner because unfortunately a lot has changed since. The food (ramen) was mediocre at best and the kitchen was SLOW. We waited 40 minutes for appetizers which is just absurd. Our waitress was sweet and apologetic and I felt bad for her. This place was great ! We sat at the bar our bartender Kelly was super attentive . We had two of the specialty cocktails STREET FIGHTER'S BREAKFAST And a Shortys spicy cucumber ! Both were delicious! We both got a cup of chowder which is served in a mug with French fries and pork belly on top ! The chowder is great my favorite thing I ate my time in Hyannis. We then we had the Caesar salad which is enough for two and the pork belly blt which is huge. Both were great !!! We will definitely be back any time we head to Hyannis. read more

I was really excited to come back to this restaurant with our kids after visiting years prior. Unfortunately a lot has changed, the food was very bland and tasted bad overall, this was disappointing as it was soooo good the first time we came here. This place would get five stars except on one end of the outdoor seating they had and inflatable Mario and the machine that airs it up makes a lot of noise so it was annoying.....but if they did not have it we might not have noticed the place. It was Saturday night and the place was not that busy, not sure if would be later on as I believe a band was going to be playing there later that same night. I love this place!! My burger was absolutely perfect and they have such a fun selection of drinks. I also love that you can add game tokens to your dinner tab, so they just charge you for the games at the end. It's very fun to play those retro arcade games in that setting. Went there for dinner and to play games. Menu was different, kind of new age. I had their take on a chicken sandwich which was very good. I sat at the bar, and everyone around me seemed to be thoroughly enjoying their dinners. While the place was packed, the bartenders and servers seemed very attentive. My bartenders were very friendly and helpful. The retro games were a blast! I only have 2 recommendations: Get an Asteroids game. Try and open up another foot between the games and the tables. We held a Large hockey team event at Flashback and they were amazing. The place was fun and had video games everywhere to keep the kids entertained. The staff had a solid plan to get orders and get food out in a timely way- but- the big surprise was how amazing the food was. I really loved the cheeseburger and my son loved the chicken tenders. 1/2 the food came out really quickly, and then we waited. My husband's food was screwed up the first time, delivered incorrectly to another table the 2nd time, and 45 minutes after everyone else ate, he finally received it. The staff was lovely, and kept trying to make it right. I had the coconut curry ramen, which was great. The kids portions were tiny, even for kids. I had to order a 2nd meal for my 8 year old. Started with a cool concept, but it's like they just don't care anymore. Service is still SLOW. Super slow. And it's still the kitchen's fault. No nightly specials - the menu feels pretty limited and this was only our 2nd visit: Apps. Burgers. Ramen. (Ramen??) Some changes two months in, but NOT for the better. (Where did the 'sticky wings' go? They were good.) The Caesar salad here is so very meh. Just chopped romaine, bottled dressing and shaved cheese. We've had better from a bag. The cheese on the pretzel board was just something scooped out of a refrigerated tub. Cold as heck, really uncool. I tried a cocktail, it was ungenerous in every dimension. Nice place on the inside. Cool retro memorabilia and autographed posters...but food and games are all overpriced. Pinball machines came from Bitbar in Salem, 2 of which I had previously played at Bitbar. Flashback felt the need to hike up the price to $1 each, which is ridiculous for old pinball machines... Especially when they have the ball save function turned off. Similarly the arcade games are all 50¢ rather than the original quarter (they were 25¢ at Bitbar). The place was packed on a Sunday and not enough games for the people, or room to play them. I did not try the food due to being overpriced. If I wanted to pay $21 for a pork chop, I would go down the road to Columbo's...not get it at an arcade bar. The owners should visit Freeplay Bar & Arcade in Providence to see how a retro arcade SHOULD be done. read more

Came in around 7 and had a party of 6 ish people did not have an attentive waitress at all. Children are kicked out at 9. Food took over 30 minutes to come out waitress and chef apologized and said several staff members called out or took vacation etc. just seemed like they were making excuses. Flashback is an overpriced, overrated place on cape cod. I went about 6 months ago & service was alright, but the fact that a bowl of ramen with a small portion of veggies and brisket (maybe 1/4 cup of brisket) was $15 was so ridiculous..... Flash forward to yesterday evening when I decided to try their all you can eat ramen.... (pictured) For starters, our server was AWFUL he didn't pay attention to what we asked.... I asked for a water with lemon, my friend for the lemon in her drink, and got a straw; I didn't. I asked for my second bowl of soup, he placed the order and came back 5 minutes later and asked if he could start another bowl for me.... I reminded him I had just placed my ordered and he looked at me then walked away (I feel the need to say we were the only table in the whole joint) and lastly, ended up serving the wrong food to the wrong individual each time. There was only 3 of us, and we weren't complicated. No extras or special requests but didn't get anything right until you told him 6+ times what you wanted. He is not built to be a server. Sweet man, but painful experience. Not enjoyable by any means. Flashback doesn't advertise to you either the price or the portions for all you can eat. The portions are about 1/2 I'd say of the regular ramen. They also don't advertise that at $11.99 all you get for all you can eat is a choice of 3 broths, ramen noodles (which are straight out of the package from stop and shop) or pad thai noodles and that each bowl comes with some veggies and 1/2 a soy egg. If you want to add any sort of protein it's $2 add on per bowl. The $2 gets you one shrimp, a few pieces of chicken thigh or about 3 small pieces of pork belly. I personally believe the whole place is extremely overpriced and not worth a spot on Main Street. read more
