I was looking for shoes for my 7-year-old son, whose feet have grown very quickly. The service was excellent. The salesperson listened to what our key concerns were, picked out a couple of different styles and sizes, and spent about 20 minutes with us as we tested various options. I was wondefully impressed. I have neurological condition and have hesitated to go into a running shoe store b/c I had once been a runner and knew that it can get a bit jocky and hierarchical, depending on how much one runs. But what a wonderful surprise. Rhonda spent an hour with me, was very sensitive to the various issues and genuinely concerned. What a concept. The shoes I got are wonderful and work. She knew what to recommend, the insoles that would help, and encouraged me to not be hesitant to ask for additional help if such becomes necessary. Great store. The knowledgeable staff really helped me get the perfect pair of running shoes and inserts for my big, wide, flat feet. Getting fitted took about half an hour and was a pretty painless process, at least until I started playing with the "torture roller" on my calves. I came in with my wife to get running shoes and sandals. I was extremely impressed with the customer service we received from Marina. She was patient, professional, and very knowledgeable. Even though I was shocked in getting one size higher than my regular shoe size, I can assure you that Marina was correct in her suggestion. My wife is transformed with the Brooks she purchased with the shoe size that she needed. She said it is so comfortable in walking and running! She's looking forward to wearing my sandals when the temperature is warmer. We would definitely return to purchase additional shoes and sandals again with Fleet Feet. What an amazing retail experience! The salesperson (Patrick) spent almost an hour helping me...he was friendly-articulate-had great product knowledge AND actually was a kind person. I was not the happiest of customers..needing shoes for comfort...a bit grumpy with painful feet...not an athlete/runner. The staff all have a wealth knowledge by experience (not reading it in a training manual); they talk to you & watch you run to make sure you get the best fitting shoe. My daughter and I went to this store for the first time today to buy her some shoes for Cross Country. They had several great choices for her and the service was amazing. After a short wait we were waited on by Ally, who was super helpful. She was very knowledgeable and had been on Cross Country teams before. She watched my daughter run in several pairs of shoes and had her try on several different styles and sizes to be sure we got the perfect pair. She was super friendly and talked sports with us too. Daniel and Jocelyn were extremely helpful and very patient. My husband and I arrived at the store about 20 minutes before they were closing. They took the time to explain the different shoes and insoles that would best fit our feet and 45 minutes after closing we both thought new shoes and insoles. My 12-year-old daughter and I just had the most amazing shopping experience at Fleet Feet with Rhonda. We are beginning runners and wanted to get outfitted with shoes, socks, and sports bras. All told, she spent over an hour with us and helped us find exactly the right products. She also gave us tons of advise about starting a training program and running in general. And because our new shoes actually correct some foot problems each of us has, we have decided to wear our new shoes as much as possible, even when we're not running. Excellent place.... Customer service above and beyond. Carla took the time to hear what my needs were, custom fitted inserts for my dress shoes and found the right walking shoes for me. I've always had great service at Fleet Feet and have been very satisfied with the quality of my running shoes. Unfortunately, I did not have a great experience last December 5. I went to the shoe area and found what I wanted, but the young girl who was working there did not make any attempt so help me. Then when another lady came in to buy some running tights, she helped her right away. I asked her if she could get someone to help me, and she said that she was busy. Because of this, I spent my $150.00 at another store with better customer service. read more

Went there Saturday 11/1/14. Waited for several minutes but no one seeemd interested in helping me. I picked up several different shoes assuming someone would eventually offer to help. There were three employees within 10' of me but none would even make eye contact. They were deciding which one of them should go on break next. I listened for quite some time and realized I wasn't even going to be acknowledged, let alone waited on. Walked out, right past another employee sitting alone at the cash register. I went to nearby Heart and Sole (compete opposite experience) and spent $150 for a new pair of shoes. read more

After signing up for a 100 mile walking challenge at work, I decided I needed a good pair of walking shoes. I'm not saying I'm old, but let's just say I'm over 40 and not in the best shape, which is the main reason I took the challenge; I wanted a push to get in better shape. So after the first few walks, I noticed soreness in my ankles and one knee. All of this led me to Fleet Feet Sports in Santa Rosa. I walked in and was greeted by the two people behind the counter. I walked to the back where the women's shoes are located and was followed by a woman salesperson. After asking me what I was looking for and about any issues with my feet, ankles, knees, hips, she measured both feet and asked me to walk so she could observe and then started bringing out shoes. After trying on several pairs in a couple of sizes, I settled on a wonderfully comfortable pair of walking shoes and inserts that offer some additional support. I'm very satisfied with the purchase and the service I received at Fleet Feet Sports. After I wear the shoes a few times, I will definitely provide an update. But if first impressions are any indication, I would recommend Fleet Feet Sports for all your athletic shoe needs! read more

The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. The guy that helped me asked me lots of questions about the New Balance shoes I'd worn through, about my exercise habits, measured my feet instead of just going with my stated shoe size, basically was very thorough and interested in matching me with the right shoe. He explained the various benefits of certain support systems, what different brands had to offer. After about 20 minutes we narrowed in on a Brooks Dyad 5 extra wide pair, and it was like a little slice of Heaven, I realized instantly they were the most comfortable pair of shoes I've ever worn. I walk about 30 miles a week, so my feet really work hard for me. It was kind of a revelation to find a pair of shoes that actually made my feet "happy." I'll go back when I need my next pair for sure. The shoes are a little expensive but if you're an avid athlete or exercise person, you want to get good equipment. read more
