Since Helen bought the business, the service and the quality has increased tremendously. Helen has been my tailor for over 3 years and she has custom made dresses for me, tailored suits for work and I have referred many to her. There has never been a time she was not joyful to help. Her prices are always reasonable and she takes so much time into her work. You really know that she is passionate about what she does. She is a hard worker and she listens to what you really want. Customer Service: This is my first visit here, Yelp brought me here, and I have to agree with most of the comments, Helen makes you feel welcomed, and at ease that your garment is in good hands from the moment you drop it off. She is professional, friendly, and customer service oriented. I received a notification via text message the day my dress was due, letting me know the time I could stop by to get it. Which works great when you are on a tight schedule. The atmosphere is serene, and most of all, the place is clean. Response Time: Turnaround time wasn't an issue. Due to the amount of personnel, Helen asked me how soon I needed my garment, she did not decide for me. There's enough personnel working with her at all times. This is not a one person alteration place. Quality: I brought in a spaghetti straps, black floor length dress, with chiffon cover and side ruffles, with a side zipper. The dress needed to be tighter on the sides, cut the length and adjust the straps. Due to the side zipper, Helen had to get it removed to alter the dress properly and then put it back. End result, it fits AMAZING!!!!! (It's hard to see the dress from the pictures, reason why I described it) I will definitely bring items back, and most of all recommend this place. read more

Love this place! Love Helen! Love her work! Just go there! My daughter had her wedding dress altered here this week. Helen was so awesome! We were greeted with a lovely smile and compliments about my daughter and her dress. She was obviously very happy to have our business and was completely professional. You could tell she was very experienced, and told us exactly how she would need to make the alteration. We picked the dress up a few days later and it fit perfectly! Do not recommend for wedding alterations! Caution as my dress was not done by pick-up. Very unprofessional, poor quality, and overpriced for the quality of work you receive. I had dropped off my dress over 3 weeks before my wedding day. I confirmed with Helen that the dress would be done by 12pm two days before the wedding. The morning of pickup I received a text at 9 am that she needed more time, and to come at 4pm that same day to pick up my dress. I drove an hour in traffic and arrive at 4pm to learn my dress was no where close to being done. She had just haphazardly cut the bottom of the dress in addition to my train. The bust and sleeves were not touched with pins still in place from the fitting. I couldn't believe the lack of communication from Helen. If I had received a call earlier that week, I could have taken it to someone else. I ended up connecting with a reputable seamstress that evening, who saved the day. She also noted that the way Helen cut my hem was not correct. She had cut my train which was not needed, and quite frankly damaged my dress. Thankfully, Helen didn't start work on the top as she planned, as the seamstress informed me it would have ruined the dress as well. Helen's pricing was more expensive then this seamstress who was able to complete the dress beautifully by 6pm the next day. Helen was unprofessional and deceitful adding unneeded stress (I was lucky to find someone last minute). Helen almost ruined my special day, don't make the same mistake. read more

I rarely need alterations done. The owner is very nice and very helpful. I needed a seamstress to him some pants that I had for my son that were too long. She only charged me seven dollars a pair to him them. After calling around a lot of places she was the most reasonable and did an excellent job. It was wild I had this tiki print as a back patch and some scale type fabric for a border, words don't describe it. I just went in to get a broken zipper on this dress I had bought Helen was so nice! She took my dress, did a quick adjustment and stitch on it, and the zipper is like brand new and totally fixed in under 5 minutes!
