I was in desperate need of a zipper replacement on a dress that I purchased for my cousins wedding that was coming up. I called Helen on a Tuesday and the wedding was Friday which I was dreading that she either wouldn't be able to fit it in with such short notice or was not going to be able to get it done in time but when I spoke to her she said no problem bring it in and I will have it done by Thursday. She carefully explained about how much more they'll come up after washing and explained my choices in a hem, from matching the original hem, stitching and thread. I thought the prices were also very reasonable. Her turnaround time is quick as well. Upon pickup I was very happy with the job. Looked like the original but now the right length. She was very sweet, but I gave her my prom dress like 3 weeks in advance and when I came back to get it she didn't have some of it done and since I had many more appointments that day, coming back for it was a really big hassle. She made my moms dress fit like a glove. It looked absolutely incredible, like it was made for her body. She took it in , in all the right places. For my wedding dress she put in a corset back into the dress, took it in and hemmed it for me. Everything was done beautifully. She is great at communicating. She texted me to keep me updated on my dress and would let me know when I needed to come in for fittings. Helen is amaaaazzzziiiinnnngggg! I needed a dress hemmed and she stayed after her business hours on a Saturday to accommodate since I was leaving town the next morning. She goes above and beyond, she is caring, kind and friendly and she is genuine! In addition, she did an amazing job on my 14 pairs of pants. I'm extremely short and most of my clothes need to be hemmed, she tapered some work pants in addition to shortening the hem. All 15 items were done perfectly and she exceeded my expectations. I needed to have my wedding dress fitted and back it needed some lace because I bought it as a sample gown and some of the lace was torn. Helen is sweet, professional, and conscientious. She does fabulous work!!! I brought in a Calvin Klein raincoat on a Monday and needed her to take it in on the sides and with her suggestion taper the back to give it some shape. She did all of the work under the lining and re-sewed the lining in place so you could not tell that anything was done! She did incredible work and I had my coat by Thursday morning. I will always go back to Helen for everything. She also mended two blouses because both had holes, when she was done, you would have never known the holes were there. Helen is amazing! I brought in my wedding dress and she spent a lot of time with me going over different options for altering it. She showed me a few different ways she could add the bustle and made sure to show my family how the hooks work. My sister (maid of honor) brought in a dress and Helen said that she had no problem altering it for her but since there were so many things that needed to be done it would be cheaper for her to buy a new one. I recently went to Helen to alter a dress for a wedding I was in. The bride had all of her bridesmaids' dresses made specifically for each one (in a different country), using only our measurements. My dress needed a lot of work and I needed a miracle worker. I had never needed alterations done on my clothes, so this was a foreign concept to me. After reading Yelp reviews, I decided to go with Helen and was so pleased I did! We had to let the dress out in areas, bring it in in other areas, etc etc. Helen also has quite the eye, as she recommended making a change to the dress that really made it look so much better on me!
