We came in in the afternoon and it was a bit dirty, but maybe the staff had a busy morning and couldn't get to the tables. The dirty chai latte was great, very strong. I found this place when I was in need to get work done in a cafe setting. This place felt smaller than the photos made it seem, but there was ample seating on the first floor and plenty of outlets to plug in and charge your devices. I ordered a chicken pesto sandwich and chai latte. The chicken pesto was pretty good, but it was just missing one thing: the bread was not toasted. The chai latte was okay, it might've been my fault for requesting it 50% sweet (you modify it, it's your recipe now lol). It was a great place to get some work done! I love pumpkin season and noticed Float had seasonal pumpkin waffles and chicken. I've had very good pumpkin pancakes, and have not found any where in LA that can quite the the pumpkin flavor right. Float did an excellent job with these pumpkin waffles! I was pleasantly surprised by it. The chicken was just okay, and breading fell apart while eating it. We're back! Float has become one of our favorites when coming to Pantages in LA. Just as before, we were quickly greeted with smiles and helpful staff. The side sales are a great blend of fresh shredded lettuce, carrots, red cabbage topped with the just the right amount of vinaigrette. All sandwiches are on toasted ciabatta. This time we went with the rosemary chicken (so damn good!) and Picnic. The restaurant has plenty of seating and is very clean, including the bathroom. No time for lunch? Clean, welcoming and cozy cafe with a nice seating area and even a loft overlooking the cafe. The staff was friendly, and helpful, greeted us with a smile... never a bad way to make a first impression. We had a mocha, cappuccino, coffee cake and croissant. The coffee is well balanced, not too sweet, not too bitter, and a good temperature -- I hate when my coffee gets cold after 5 minutes. We ate here, so everything was served in nice plates and glasses. Utensils were the wrapped plastic disposable type, but then I suppose you don't need to worry about how well they were washed. This hidden coffee shop is a perfect midday pick me up. I got an iced vanilla latte and it was delicious. The barista was super friendly and chatted up some other customers, super personable! My friend and I came here yesterday on a whim and holy cow we were so glad we did! The food is incredible! We got the kale and quinoa bowl+ lox, ricotta pancakes and lox bagel. For the drinks Mary Jane made us two lattes, one honey and one lavender, and we couldn't have been more pleased. MJ was super helpful and was great to talk to making this visit even more enjoyable.
