It is very difficult to process that a place in an airport can serve such delicious vegan food. It is the only redeeming feature I've found in modern airport experience- visits/stays/adventures. They have plenty of vegan options, a great beer and spirits selection and they do a right nice job with coffee/espresso drinks. The service is great. Everyone is nice, knowledgeable about the items on the menu, and can answer questions about those things. My iced oat milk latte was great. To eat, I had the vegan Summer Scramble- tofu w/ heirloom tomatoes, Walla Walla onions, & spinach topped with vegan cheeze. I chose crispy potatoes for my side. It was all delicious. I always try to build in a little extra time to swing by and eat their cheesy grits with chives or their winter breakfast scramble and I almost always try to have their bloody Mary whether it's virgin or vodka. They always managed to include a lot of trimmings which I love, this time it was heavy celery and I enjoyed chopping down on it as much as I loved the garlicky flavorful drink and spicy salt rim. I love the portions here and I feel like the plates are a great value for the price (that doesn't always happen at the airport, am I right?) You get and enjoy a full meal when you sit down at Floret, even if you just order the cinnamon roll which comes slathered in cream cheese icing. The winter scramble this time was absolutely fantastic and chock full of mushrooms and delicious sweet potatoes. We also ordered the mushroom portobello French dip and that came thick with cheese in the sandwich, as well as great bread. I ordered a cardamom rose latte for my friend because she's a big Latte fan and we were both surprised by how beautiful it was. And the latte itself was excellent. A nice find! Not often do you see a vegetarian restaurant in an airport. I recommend getting the SPRING FLOWERS LATTE. It was perfectly balanced. The SPRING GRAIN BOWL was on the lighter side but fresh and delicious. My favorite was the creamy-umami KALE & ROASTED-MUSHROOM PASTA. Definitely share this dish. It was definitely hearty! This place was a pleasant surprise! I had extra time at the airport so decided to treat myself to a sit down breakfast. As I breezed through the menu, I was happy to find out it was a vegetarian restaurant. Service was really pleasant and the food came out pretty quick. My lavender latte looked so pretty and tasted even better. The cheesy grits were thick and cheesy, the eggs cooked perfectly over medium, and the sourdough toast cut thick and soft served with a most delicious jam. The meal was so tasty and the space was about as quiet and calm as an airport dining establishment can be. There was a great sounding cherry lime mule I wanted to try but it was a bit early. I'm so glad I decided to walk all the way over to the A gates! I initially came by for Lady Yum and decided to have lunch across the hall at Floret. Located in the Central Terminal of SeaTac Airport (SEA) near Gate A1, it is in a convenient location even if you have to walk a bit out of your way to get here. Leslie is a superstar! Big shout out to her. She made me feel so welcome and she provided great suggestions! This vegetarian, vegan friendly spot is great! I loved the options and knew I had to get the yam fries when I saw them on the menu. Portobello Mushroom French Dip - so yum! The mushrooms were super meaty and sliced thin, grilled onions, Swiss cheese and comes with yam fries. Yes, the fries are better than they look! Soo crispy and powdery, it was perfect. I'm glad I ate most of them first as they were not as good when they cooled down. Leslie also brought me an additional Cayenne Aioli, it was delish with the yam fries. Cola - a local cola with real sugar - I didn't get the name, but it was really great! I love the vibe here, it's bright with high ceilings. The best part is seeing out to the planes! Best place to get vegan food in Seattle-Tacoma International Airport. Floret is all plant based in fact. It can be pricy, but what airport food isn't though? Has typical pub food like burgers. These are made with plant based substitutes. After getting to the airport early enough, we had time to eat here. It's one of those places you have to give yourself plenty of time to enjoy it. The service wasn't fast but it wasn't like it was slow. Has a bar area and tables, and they were pretty busy. It's about $8 for the cheapest beers and drinks, which was the Yonder Dry Cider. The food is why people come though. It's about $20 for an entree. That's a lot, but for the airport it's pretty typical. I got the Sweet And Spicy Crispy Tofu Sandwich. This has crispy fried tofu coated with spicy sauce, and topped with cabbage slaw among other things. On the side are yam fries. This was pretty hearty and worth paying a high price. Can honestly say it's the best place to eat in the airport. It's located at the beginning of the A gates. They're also open for breakfast, as well as lunch and dinner, with everything on the menu being okay for vegans and vegetarians. read more

The bread for the mushroom French dip was not too hard, which I appreciate and it still was crispy on the inside and the mushrooms had a good umami to them. The dip was too salty but the fries were also pretty solid. The kale mushroom pasta is a bit heavier (and a bit oily) with cream, wine, and cheese sauce throughout Orecchiette pasta which was actually a pretty good shape to hold up the bits of mushroom and sauce. One of the best airport foods I've had in a long time. When I walked in I didn't realize that Floret was a vegan restuarant, which I am not, but I genuinely enjoyed my meal there. Located by the A1 gate, its easy to access once you get through TSA. The staff working here was so helpful in their recommendations. I had the avocado toast with egg, and I can truly say that the avo toast was one of the best toats I've had. With seasame seeds and some type of umami oil ontop of a pickled beet and avocado smash - I was left satisfied but didn't feel sluggish afterwards. Was walking by and decided to stop and check it out. Plenty of seating was available so I got a seat right away. After perusing the menu I realized that this is a vegetarian restaurant and therefore offered no hearty delu sandwiches or hamburgers, which is what I was in the mood for. When my server came to take my order I politely told her what I had realized and that I would move on. With a big smile she said she understood BUT she said Floret is the highest rated restaurant at Sea-Tac airport, and that all of their food is prepared freshly by hand for each order. She expressed so much joy, and pride that I decided to stay, after all, and I am so glad I did. Besides the now obvious friendly service, the food was both fresh and very tasty! I ordered the black bean and zucchini quesadilla. Mmmmmm!! So tasty and satisfying with plenty of jack cheese, and the accompanying sour cream and housemade roasted salsa rounded it all out perfectly. Again, I am so glad I decided to stay and eat at Floret. I really wanted to love this place but I found it pricey and mediocre. Super cute ambiance and decor, good service, and impressive craft cocktail menu. I thought my food was a bit bland, it looked and smelled better than it tasted but my cocktail was tasty. I noticed a few questionable practices from the staff. A customer asked a server for a straw, she let him grab one himself because "she didn't wanna grab it" and he proceeded to fondle the bare straws in the process of getting one. I think the situation could've been avoided by grabbing a straw with a napkin... I also watched a barista spray a cleaning product directly into the pastry display while there were still pastries underneath. I think spraying a rag first might be a better approach. if you're a visiting vegan or vegetarian to the emerald city and you don't know about floret at seatac, you want to! it is the younger, smaller sibling to cafe flora in madison park and flora bakehouse on beacon hill (again, visitors take note: these are great places to hit up while you're here) and it might transform your in-transit food search experience. there are two options: dine in or grab n go. be forewarned: if you buy grab n go items, there's a sign that states the seating area is only for dine in guests. by early afternoon some of the baked goods were sold out when i was headed to my gate but i was quite happy with the burrito i chose. they heated it up and i was off!!! it was more than enough food. they do not skimp on the ingredients--the burrito was packed full and very tasty. (far better than most normal airport fare.) i highly recommend stopping by floret even if you're not flying in or out of the a gates specifically. the beauty of seatac is that once you're through security, walk times between concourses are relatively short and we have a fairly good selection of interesting local satellite stores to check out (shout out sub pop, exofficio and fireworks!) along the way. read more

It's often hard to find great airport food, let alone great vegan/dairy-free airport food, but Floret is one of the best restaurants in any airport in the US. They have a killer food menu, including a ton of vegan options, and I absolutely love their peanut noodle bowl and their spicy hummus wrap. They also have some odds and ends like hard boiled eggs, and, of course, a full coffee bar. Most of their food is grab-and-go, but still really fresh. On our way home from Alaska to Los Angeles, looking for a good meal we stumbled across this surprisingly all vegetarian restaurant in the middle of the airport... Not a stand or fast-food place, but a nice sit-down place with fully vegetarian, upscale comfort food for us to enjoy. I had the portobello French dip, which was fantastic! It came with yam fries. Normally, I avoid sweet potato and root vegetable fries if they're not straight up potato. They're fine, but not my favorite thing. But these actually made me forget I was eating something that wasn't potato perfectly fried and textured, nicely coated with spices. I really like them. My wife had the black bean Elote corn quesadilla which she also thought was excellent. Everything on the menu is vegetarian and if we lived at the airport or even in Seattle at all, we would want to come back here again and again and try everything. It's vegetarian, not vegan so lots of, comfortable upscale things to eat are available! I also especially enjoyed the rosemary lemonade which was one of the most beautiful nonalcoholic beverages I've ever seen like drinking a tasty liquid fog, not overly sweet. A lovely sprig of rosemary in it. I want to drink this all the time or at least look at it. I took the light rail to Sea-Tac/Airport Station and got there 3 hours prior to departure. My flight wasn't even international. I just wanted to check out some public art and try this restaurant. It's located at the A gates. Sure it's a trek from Alaska's check-in, but I wear good shoes, I like the exercise, and I like listening to live music at Central. I mean, I could take the A-D train but that's boring. It was morning and the dining area was brightly lit from the large windows. We were seated right away. Tables were almost fully occupied. It was pretty spacious and accommodating for carry-on luggage. I needed to wake up so I ordered coffee. Stumptown. I see you, Portland ;) I also ordered the cinnamon roll. I think next time I will save that for a mid-flight snack and try a different breakfast item. Servers are friendly but they aren't quick to turn tables. Don't dine here if you're in a rush. Unlike Salty's, they don't ask what your flight time is. Your time is at the mercy of theirs. Plan for 1-1.5 hours from arriving at your table to cashing out. read more

Best place to have a sit down meal in SeaTac. Floret is part of the Flora Restaurant group which is pretty well known in Seattle for its delicious vegetarian food fare. I'm a big fan of Cafe Flora but it's getting harder for me to visit the city, so getting to try their sister restaurant Floret in SeaTac is a bonus whenever I fly into Western Washington. LOGISTICS Located right before the A Gates at the intersection between A and B. I fly Southwest at B Gates lot so the location is convenient since it's on the way. To get the full dining menu you will need to dine in - they have waited table service. Otherwise there is a coffee bar next door that sells cute local goods, great local PNW coffee, and tasty pastries and sandwiches Togo. Service is super friendly and prompt at getting your orders and food in, especially for a transit restaurant. Some tables have access to power, particularly the counter seats facing the wall,. It's also situated facing the windows so you can look out to the runway and watch crews prepare aircraft. FOOD The menu here changes seasonally so I'll review what I usually get here... Regular / Loaded Yam Fries: The yam fries here are AMAZING and totally worth getting if your entree doesn't already come with them. Perfectly crispy and just the right texture. I also love the sauce they come with, it's like a green goddess dressing. Sometimes they'll sell "loaded yam fries" where the yam fries have toppings liked pickled onions, corn, avocado, etc. I've had it in 2 variations over the year, so be on the lookout! The regular yam fries are still worth it though. Brussels Sprouts: These have also varied over the year - more recently I had their maple chili brussels sprouts that were sweet with a slight kick of spice. They have the crispy charred texture you get from deep frying them and they are super addicting. Portabella Mushroom Swiss Dip: A great sandwich, the portabella mushroom is very flavorful with melty swiss cheese and caramelized onions You won't miss meat. And the bread is nicely toasted with a slight chew. You can also make it vegan or gluten free. Served with yam fries, it's large enough to share with another person, especially if you're getting other sides or appetizers. Mushroom Pie: This is only available at the coffee bar next to the shop - if you're in a rush and want savory treat, highly recommend the mushroom pie. It's like a large flaky empanada with a creamy mushroom filling. Just the right amount of salt and very satisfying with the amount of mushroom in it. Sweet & Spicy Crispy Tofu Sandwich: Had this on my last visit to Floret - it's a good sandwich, the tofu is a thick slab with a good crispy coating. The pickles and cabbage slaw are a good contrast to the spicy sauce too. It's not too spicy either, more like a kick for flavor. Cocktails are also great here, it's one of my favorite places to get a drink too at the airport. Their drinks are fruity with some being stronger than others. I've had the Figgy Old Fashioned and Blackberry Bramble a few times. The coffee bar next door is also nice as it serves Stumptown Coffee, and they have some seasonal drink specials (ex. lavender honey, etc.) OVERALL Sometimes I try to budget more time before a flight so that I can eat at some places in SeaTac. Though I am not a vegetarian, this has been my favorite restaurant for a sit down experience while waiting for a fight. The bar is also great with creative drinks. Prices are expensive for drinks or food, but that's just the nature of eating at the airport... and honestly, at least the quality is there for what you pay for. Even when I don't have time for a sit down experience, the coffee bar on the side is one of my favorite places to get pastries and more local coffee. If you like good food and have enough time, I definitely recommend dining in or getting something to go from the coffee bar next door. read more

Floret is the sister cafe and eatery to Cafe Flora. Although I've never been to Cafe Flora, which is highly praised, I enjoyed dining at Floret before my flight. It's a nice spot to check out at SeaTac International Airport if you need coffee or sustenance, especially for you, vegetarians. I visited Floret when I had an early flight out to the east coast, and needed some caffeine. The only place that was open was Starbucks, which I am not a fan of. Therefore, I was glad to find Floret open in the early hours next to the A gates. In addition to its shop where you can grab already-made items at the coffee counter, they have a spacious dining area and bar, which is where I sat before my flight. I ordered an iced lavender latte and wasn't hungry until I saw they had a coconut cake with a mango gelee. Heck yes! I had to try this cake, so this was breakfast of champions. The coconut cake was so moist and creamy, with tons of coconut flavor and the mango gelee added the tart and slight sour flavor, completing the creaminess of the cake. Ya gotta get it! For carnivores though, this is not your place. If you're looking for some meaty protein, look elsewhere as Floret is a vegetarian eatery. The menu did feature a lot of different savory and sweet items, with a full coffee and cocktail list. I'd be down to hang out at Floret again to kill some time before a flight over that coconut cake. I enjoyed watching airplanes flying by from my window view. Service was very attentive and fast which was a huge plus for my friend and I.
