I love this restaurant so much and the food is incredible but they don't seem to care about the delivery problems they've been having for months now. I used to get delivery from them a couple of times a week and eat their food pretty much every day but then they stopped doing delivery with door dash and then they stopped doing delivery with Uber eats and then they stopped doing delivery with Postmates and whenever I would call them to ask them they would say I can order through their website which costs $10 just for delivery plus you have to tip the driver. I finally buckled and tried it and they didn't put any of the protein in my salads so I called and it turned into a giant project where they wanted me to put even more money on my credit card and then they were going to give the delivery person cash to give me or they would refund but then I still was stuck without having protein for my dinner... Plus nobody was able to refund my card so I ended up paying $10 for delivery plus Tip plus protein for the salads which I never received and I still have to follow up and make sure I get a refund so now it's turning into a part-time job. Last but not least the salads have gotten dramatically smaller and look almost half the size of what they used to be. They just seem really disorganized and not very customer service oriented. As much as I love the food I am getting frustrated with this restaurant and don't think I'm going to be making so much effort to patronize them. It shouldn't be this much work and effort and difficulty to get food delivered. It's just not worth it. read more

Super welcoming and great atmosphere on the inside and out. Perfect, convenient location and available parking. The decor of the place is almost as appealing as the menu. They offer extremely healthy, yet delicious food with lots of vegan/ gluten free/ vegetarian options as well as hardy carb filled big meals. I have tried salads, bowls and lots of meats and haven't had one complaint. The meals I've received have always been picture worthy but some how the food tastes better then it looks .(My favorites include the flying avocado wrap, the vegan cobb salad with salmon, and the forbidden rice bowl) Service is extremely fast due to there large and helpful staff, usually there is a pretty long line but it goes by quicker then expected. They have a wide variety of healthy fun drinks (delicious lemonade, green tea and cold brews) and gluten free pastries/ desserts. (The chocolate chip cookies are my favorite). Lots of available seating inside and out and it always seems extremely clean and sanitary in there, even the bathrooms were pretty. They have a super cute hand washing station along with bright, eye catching artwork on the walls. Also I believe they are pet friendly, I brought my dog once and we sat out side and a worker brought her a dog bowl! Absolutely love this place, great addition to flower hill mall. read more

Love this place! I have been here probably 5 or 6 times since its opening and I haven't been disappointed yet. My favorite is the Chopped Vegetable Salad and I add steak. The steak is always high quality and melts in your mouth. I love my steak rare and it's hard to find a place that adds steak to a salad that will cook it rare to perfection. I love that there is ice tea and lemonade choices and that the drinks are refillable for free. My favorite splurge was the Pumpkin muffins. They were seasonal which really bums me out but maybe if I beg they will bring them back earlier! PLEASE please! read more

This place was delicious! We tried a few items on the menu and were not disappointed by any of it. The gluten free pastries were yummy and not dry like some can be, and the gluten free mac and cheese was so good. The staff was friendly and helpful, and the restaurant is large with lots of seating. My dad got an email about this place being new and healthy so of course we had to come check it out. Best decision ever. I tried the Thai cashew quinoa but added chicken and every bite had such a flavorful taste to it. It was delicious. I've never tasted quinoa like that before and I love it. Also tried sweet potatoes and Brussels sprouts as sides. The Brussels sprouts are to die for. Like the most mouthwatering brussel sprouts I've ever tried. I thought I knew how to make brussel sprouts good but this is a definite must try here! Loved the food and atmosphere here. read more

Had dinner to go last night. Stayed at the Hilton down the street and really did not want hotel food and had my fix of In & Out. Flower Child was amazing! I had the Madras Curry. 5 stars!!!! Staff is friendly and extremely helpful. I stopped in about half hour before closing. The menu had so many cool selections. Just loved the vibe of the place. Manager on duty gave me a complimentary chocolate gluten free brownie, it was off the charts. Next time time I'm in the North County area I'm heading here. read more

Was pleasantly surprised by this place. I often find these healthy cafeteria concept restaurants a little bland. We finally have a healthy place that knows how to cook and season food! I've already been back twice this month. I've had the steak, sweet potatoes, chicken and brown rice soup and a cappuccino. So far, it's all good. Definitely enjoyed my experience. Decided on the 3 sides (brussel sprouts, cauliflower and broccoli) and protein (salmon). I did ask for spinach and instead got broccoli which i was a little sad about but I understand this was a trial run. Cute, healthy fast-casual place that borders on precocious (yoga mat parking). It seemed that the bases for all of the meals are vegetarian, to which you can add a protein. The grilled tofu matched perfectly with the Thai Cashew Quinoa. The seating is plentiful and comfortable inside, plus there is some shared outdoor seating. The inventive lemonades were good and different each time. The portions are a bit small for the price, but you don't mind when it's this flavorful. Nestled within an upscale strip mall and within walking distance to Whole Foods is a mirage within a desert of concrete, Flower Child. Yes, I did believe this was a flower shop at first, no, it's a health food restaurant preparing delicious scratch made entrees, salads and baked goods to nourish the body and the soul. The ambience is bright, energetic and homey as are the wait staff. Everything I ordered was tasty, fresh and perfectly seasoned. If there's one stand out, it would have to be the Yuzu Brussels Sprouts. Charred to perfection with a slight outer crispiness and tossed with Yuzu sauce ( a popular Japanese citron much like lime) and just the right amount of sea salt. These will definitely be sitting on the side of every future plate I order at Flower Child. Please check it out; your mouth will thank you. read more

When a company provides food for an event I attend, if I really like it, I like to post a review about it. I assume that they don't make a fortune doing this, so I figure we get to eat their grub....the least we can do is say how much we like it (if we actually do). And we did!!! Apparently they specialize in glutton free and vegetarian fare, but they had these turkey wraps with hummas and other things in it. They were delicious. They provided salads that were good, but what surprised me were the cookies. They were glutton free, and might be the best cookie I've ever had. My husband was obsessed with the brownies. I think he ate 3 or 4, and he said they were amazing The people that run the San Diego International Film Festival, mentioned before the movie, that they go into this restaurant in Del Mar and they like it. We're often on Via De La Valle, so we're looking forward to paying it a visit read more

I used to come to this storefront when it was still a restaurant so it surprised me when I went in to see that Flower Child has you order at the counter. (Not a bad thing!) I had the avo toast, the soup of the day (blue corn chicken tortilla), and a fresh squeezed orange juice. It all tasted great; my only regret is that I didn't see they had several different varieties of lemonade. Oh well, more to try next time! read more

We ordered a salad which was o.k. Except the chicken was dried out. We also ordered the curry with salmon which was drenched in salt and inedible. I hate having to write this, as we need places with their food philosophy. I will go tomorrow for a refund. I must say with just a bit more attention to their proteins, it could be a successful and enjoyable placed. Super cute restaurant with friendly staff but not very impressed by the menu or food. Love healthy but some dishes were too spicy and lacked creativity or a flavor you will come back for. Disappointed as I wanted to love this place but only two tables were occupied when we arrived at 7 in a large restaurant and it was completely empty an hour later when they didn't close until 9. Places like trilogy and eve have mastered the healthy amazing tasting dishes and I hope this place will too as we need more restaurants like this :) read more
