Chicken entree with broccoli, and Mac & Cheese

This was my first time eating here. I see people always lining up and never knew why. Now, I do. I ordered some chicken, broccoli and Mac & cheese. I was not overly impressed with the way the chicken is prepared visually. It looks plain and boring, yet had a really nice flavor and matched well with the other ingredients. The mac and cheese was delicious and the broccoli was really good. Overall, great food, fast presentation and fun place to eat. I am not a huge fan of how much everything cost, though: roughly $20 per plate for fast casual lunch. I won't rush back, but would certainly go again in the future.

We had a simply delicious meal at Flower Child. It was a somewhat busy night there but we didn't wait long at all. I had the tofu entree with two sides and my companion had the chicken entree. We both had the Chile glazed sweet potatoes and one of us had the roasted broccoli and the other the cauliflower risotto. Really delicious and fresh. It was a bit loud but the servers were really good and efficient.

I have always felt so satisfied anytime I've eaten at Flower Child. They just get it. Healthy food should taste good, 100%! I love that the menu rotates seasonally, so you can always try something different if you want to. The staff is warm and welcoming. It's super clean inside and gives the feeling of eating at a farmhouse. It was my first time trying the Rebel French dip and it was absolutely amazing. The steak was perfect, and the creamy horseradish really stood out but without overpowering the wrap. I tried both iced teas and topped them off with the rose petal lemonade. I think they always pair well together, regardless of what flavors are being featured. Best of all, not feeling sluggish after eating. I always look forward to coming back either by myself or with another health conscious companion.

I joined a friend for lunch at Flower Child in the Desert Ridge Marketplace. A very popular place for sure. The order window for take out was super busy. Once you walk in, make your order at the counter provided you're ready. A menu is posted outside as well as inside. We ordered the black bean falafel wrap and Kung pow cauliflower with chicken on the side. Pay for your meal, they give you a number and choose a seat of your liking. Our meals were delivered quickly and with a smile. Nicely presented and both were very good. The wrap was very hearty with a tinge on sweet pickles in it. The cauliflower had a nice sauce that was not overwhelming yet had a slight kick to it. We both had doggie bags for later. Nicely decorated inside with visions of the 1960s; Twiggy and peace sign on the wall. It was a bit noisy inside but we could converse. Staff came by later to bus our dishes and ask if we needed boxes. All gender bathrooms. Overall a nice experience that I would repeat. Shared parking.

My go to spot for to go orders. Also have been inside for lunch with family and friends. So many delicious options that I never go for just one favorite every time. If you like veggie dishes, here are some I return to again and again: Turkey & Avocado Cobb, Avocado Caesar, & Mother Earth Bowl; Sides: Kung Pow Cauliflower, Kale Salad, Roasted Sweet Potato Fries, Cauliflower Risotto, & Red Chile Glazed Sweet Potato. Their olive oil muffins, lemon and pumpkin (in season) are excellent too.

I love how many gluten free and dairy free options are here! They are very good with food allergies, and the staff are very friendly and helpful. I enjoyed my Glow Bowl with tofu. It was quite tasty and free of all my allergies. I only wish I had chosen to add chicken instead of tofu as the tofu absorbed all the flavor of the bowl and the flavor ended up lightly one-noted. But it was still good so I didn't mind. I ended up feeling hungry again not too long after eating, so I wish my food filled me more than it did. But it's a great spot for a light lunch!

This is my first time dining in at this location and during lunch time. I have never seen the place so vibrant! In the midst of the crowd, the service was still very smooth and I got my Glow Bowl within a decent time. I would have loved to sit by the window a bit longer to read, but I felt bad for taking up a table for 2 on my own. I've never tried the Glow Bowl, but it will be my go to from now on! The sunflower sauce is what really made it good!

Two stars soley for the fact that we did eat the food and it was delicious. I called in the order, which got lost in the 10 minutes it took us to get there. That's fine i get things happen. We order again and grab waters while we wait.. Unfortunately there was a bug frozen in my ice when i used their ice machine. Gross. But again, maybe it was a fluke. While we wait we watch the staff use a swiffer to clean the ceiling...in the kitchen...while they were still preparing food. The bottom of the swiffer was black so i can only imagine what was falling from the ceiling also. We waited for what felt like forever when i walked up to the counter to ask about the progress. Our food had been ready..just sitting there.. I guess they don't call your name when it's ready?? Anyway, we were supposed to get a free earth day tote as well and we never received that. Sad. read more

Ordered the chicken chop salad and was very disappointed. They refunded my money which was awesome however the salad was poorly made, lettuce was not shopped but thrown in as clumps, there were missing ingredients such as tomatoes and they forgot the dressing. read more

Just tried this place today for lunch. I didn't get the full on dine in experience, I ordered to go instead. The wait was very fast. My food was done in 15 minutes. I ordered the Mother Nature bowl and added steak. It was very very tasty. Very fresh and natural for sure. It remained me of True Foods in a way. There is so much options for those who are vegan and dairy free. I'm really happy they opened this place up. read more

Loud, long line to order your food, I finally found something with some flavor. However, all our vegan and vegetarian friends love this place. If you're vegan or vegetarian you have a lot of choices. If not, the steak salad and turkey avocado wrap are also good choices. read more

One of my fav restaurants to go to!! Food is healthy and delicious. While on my strict meal plan the manger at the time had made sure my meal was cooked they way I needed it to be and when she relished the cooks made a mistake she had them remake it and offered a gift card for the long wait. Holy cow, this place is GOOD. I always seem to have a bit o trouble finding vegan food in AZ, and boy, did I score! The Mother Earth bowl is DELICIOUS. Many times vegan food, imo, has no flavor. Well, Flower Child knows how to season! Wow! My family had the Keto Turkey Sausage and Zucchini Lasagna which looked amazing, and the Turkey and avocado Cobb looked fantastic too! Also, the patio is super spacious and nice, and the staff is very friendly and helpful. Been there twice in my 2 week stay. And I'll definitely be back! read more

This used to be one of my favorite spots but now the vibe is just SO OFF! Last time we were there the cashier was beyond rude.. this time because we ordered our food to go we weren't able to sit on the patio. They also didn't give us silverware for our food so we had to go back and ask for some. Not sure if it's under new management but it's definitely gone from my favorite place to one of my least favorite. Was going to give one star but added one because the food is awesome & I'm hoping it might change back. read more

I've never seen such great service as I have here! We ordered food through a third party delivery service, and had several issues. None of which were Flower Child's errors. I called and spoke to Kelly, the manager, and explained what had happened. She said she wanted to make it right, because she valued us as a customer. By this time, it was later into the evening, and they were getting close to closing. Kelly made sure each piece of crudite was fresh and perfect, and she had the kitchen make a fresh batch of avocado hummus. She was getting off her shift and said she would personally deliver our order to us! Everything was delicious! But, the customer service that Kelly showed is unforgettable. Flower Child will be first on our list when we order now. We are faithful customers. I'm from the restaurant industry, and this is something I've never seen before and probably never will again. read more

Rice was undercooked, hard and hurt my tooth while chewing it. Didn't finish it all. Even tipped 20% before the service which is never good because you should tip after the service to ensure everything is great which was not. Our steak was under cooked as well to a rare I thought I read on the sign the steaks were cooked to a medium rare. I work at a prime steakhouse and my ladies steak was too red in the middle. Most of the doors were open was a bit cold inside glad my gf brought her sweater. First time here was alright maybe we will be back maybe not. read more

So I've eaten at this establishment 3 times now and every time I've ended up with the same outcome (sitting on the porcelain throne). Maybe I should have just gotten the salads that are the highlight of the menu but every time you get roasted veggies or something to that nature I'm sure you'll end up where I do. First Flower Child experience outside of DC - did not disappoint! Visiting family in AZ and needed a dinner option that would satisfy folks looking for meat, vegetarian, and vegan options, and we landed on Flower Child. Pick-up was quick and easy from this location. I opted for the steak plate with two sides - the sides were a bit smaller than the DC locations, but still delicious. My steak was cooked a bit closer to medium rare than medium, as it is advertised (though I preferred it cooked to his way!). I really enjoyed the broccoli, and my brussels were decent though the seasoning wasn't my favorite. Everyone else seemed to really enjoy their meal - would definitely recommend this location of Flower Child! read more

I might say I love this Desert Ridge location even more than the others. It was so packed due to recently opening that we did have quite a bit of a wait in line just to order and then we had to be stealth in finding seating but I adore everything about Flower Child restaurants and I will definitely be back. The portions at FlowerChild are larger now that they've been bought by Cheescake Factory. I crave their broccoli side, which appears to be pan fried with a mild, but slightly tangy, lemon and garlic sauce, topped with a few crunchy bread crumbs. This place is pretty good. The salmon and chicken was really flavorful. The sides were also pretty tasty (mashed potatoes and rice!). The atmosphere is pretty nice too. The portions are pretty small however, and it would have been nice if the food was hotter. I would probably come back though, it was a pleasant experience! read more

We thought we made a mistake by coming here when we showed up at lunch time and there was a huge line. I've never seen a restaurant handle a lunch crowd more efficiently. They had complementary drinks outside for those who were waiting and they had an employee stationed at the front of the line helping people take orders and figure out where the next open table would be. Ultimately, we didn't have to wait very long even though the line was long. When we were ordering I was a little overwhelmed by all the choices of wonderful dishes and combinations. The friendly cashier helped me make a decision by describing some of the food a little bit more in detail. I ended up getting a custom plate and so did my friend. Both of us were extremely happy with our choices. Mine was delicious and completely vegetarian. My food was so good I practically licked my plate clean. I didn't have to feel guilty though because the food was really healthy. What a bonus when the food is delicious and it's healthy too. I've been to other locations of Flower Child but this one particularly impressed me. I would definitely recommend this location at lunchtime because despite the crowds, everyone got a seat and everyone got to eat. read more

At Desert Ridge, there are daily drink specials from 3-6 PM and daily tapas specials from 3-5 PM starting at only $2. They are open daily from 11 AM to 9 PM. Their menu includes a nutrition chart, vegan chart, allergen chart, and a nutrition calculator. I remember visiting other Pita Jungle locations with my wife when we just started dating for tapas, which we shared and bonded over way back when.
